Plants affect the horizontal transmission of a new densovirus infecting the green peach aphid Myzus persicae by modulating honeydew production

In a tritrophic context of plant-insect-entomopathogen,plants play important roles in modulating the interaction of insects and their pathogenic viruses.Currently,the influence of plants on the transmission of insect viruses has been mainly studied on baculoviruses and some RNA viruses,whereas the impact of plants on other insect viruses is largely unknown.Here,we identified a new densovirus infecting the green peach aphid Myzus persicae and tested whether and how host plants influence the transmission of the aphid densovirus.The complete single-stranded DNA genome of the virus,M.persicae densovirus 2,is 5727 nt and contains inverted terminal repeats.Transcription and phylogenetic analysis indicated that the virus was distinct from other a few identified aphid densoviruses.The virus abundance was detected highly in the intestinal tract of aphids,compared with the lower level of it in other tissues including head,embryo,and epidermis.Cabbage and pepper plants had no obvious effect on the vertical transmission and saliva-mediated horizontal transmission of the virus.However,the honeydew-mediated horizontal transmission among aphids highly depended on host plants(65%on cabbages versus 17%on peppers).Although the virus concentration in the honeydew produced by aphids between 2 plants was similar,the honeydew production of the infected aphids reared on peppers was dramatically reduced.Taken together,our results provide evidence that plants influence the horizontal transmission of a new densovirus in an aphid population by modulating honeydew secretion of aphids,suggesting plants may manipulate the spread of an aphid-pathogenic densovirus in nature.

Chiroptical switches based on circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)have shown the promising applications in advanced information technologies.Herein,a pair of lanthanide coordination polymer enantiomers[Eu_(2)(L^(R))_(3)(BTFPO)_(2)]_(n) and[Eu_(2)(L^(S))_(3)(BTFPO)_(2)]_(n) with light-regulated CPL property are designed,which are assembled by a chiral binuclear triple-stranded Eu^(3+) helicates[Eu_(2)(L^(R/S))_(3)]coordinated with two photochromic triphenylphosphine oxides(BTFPO).Upon the alternative UV and 526 nm light irradiation,the complexes show the reversible photochromism,PL and CPL responses.Notably,the luminescence dissymmetry factor,g lum of ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1)(591 nm)transition shows an obvious increase from 0.19 to 0.29 before and after 275 nm light irradiation.Additionally,the emission from Eu^(3+) center is not completely quenched in closed-ring state due to the low photocyclization(Ф_(o-c))quantum yield of the polymer.The partial maintenance of emissive intensity is of essential importance for the monitor of CPL signal.More importantly,the CPL photo-switching property of the complexes in solid hybrid film is maintained,and still displays the enhanced CPL emission in photostationary state.Further,the potential applications of the doping film in logic gate and anti-counterfeiting were investigated.

Fat is one of the three macronutrients and a significant energy source for piglets. It plays a positive role in maintaining intestinal health and improving production performance. During the weaning period,physiological, stress and diet-related factors influence the absorption of fat in piglets, leading to damage to the intestinal barrier, diarrhea and even death. Signaling pathways, such as fatty acid translocase(CD36), pregnane X receptor(PXR), and AMP-dependent protein kinase(AMPK), are responsible for regulating intestinal fat uptake and maintaining intestinal barrier function. Therefore, this review mainly elaborates on the reasons for diarrhea induced by insufficient fat absorption and related signaling pathways in weaned-piglets, with an emphasis on the intestinal fat absorption disorder. Moreover, we focus on introducing nutritional strategies that can promote intestinal fat absorption in piglets with insufficient fat absorption-related diarrhea, such as lipase, amino acids, and probiotics.

Assessment of Meteorological Threats to the Coordinated Search and Rescue of Unmanned/Manned Aircraft

The architecture and working principle of coordinated search and rescue system of unmanned/manned aircraft,which is composed of manned/unmanned aircraft and manned aircraft,were first introduced,and they can cooperate with each other to complete a search and rescue task.Secondly,a threat assessment method based on meteorological data was proposed,and potential meteorological threats,such as storms and rainfall,can be predicted by collecting and analyzing meteorological data.Finally,an experiment was carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed method in different scenarios.The experimental results show that the coordinated search and rescue system of unmanned/manned aircraft can be used to effectively assess meteorological threats and provide accurate search and rescue guidance.

Market Positioning Analysis of CJ Brand Fitness Equipment

CJ Health Technology Co.has been an export-oriented supplier of fitness equipment,boasting leading technology innovation and manufacturing capabilities.However,in the process of expanding into the domestic market,the challenges of unclear market positioning and lack of brand awareness have emerged as major obstacles.To address these issues,a SWOT analysis was conducted to explore a suitable market positioning strategy for the CJ brand.The analysis reveals that the market demand for commercial fitness equipment is relatively saturated,with fierce competition.In contrast,the home fitness market represents a new blue ocean with promising development opportunities for the CJ brand.Leveraging excellent product quality,stringent quality control measures,and innovation-driven cutting-edge technology,it is recommended that CJ brand fitness equipment target young customers aged between 25 and 35 years old.Additionally,vigorously developing the home fitness product line is proposed to capitalize on this burgeoning market segment.

Electrochemical filtration for drinking water purification:A review on membrane materials,mechanisms and roles

Electrochemical filtration can not only enrich low concentrations of pollutants but also produce reactive oxygen species to interact with toxic pollutants with the assistance of a power supply,making it an effective strategy for drinking water purification.In addition,the application of electrochemical filtration facilitates the reduction of pretreatment procedures and the use of chemicals,which has outstanding potential for maximizing process simplicity and reducing operating costs,enabling the production of safe drinking water in smaller installations.In recent years,the research on electrochemical filtration has gradually increased,but there has been a lack of attention on its application in the removal of low concentrations of pollutants from low conductivity water.In this review,membrane substrates and electrocatalysts used to improve the performance of electrochemical membranes are briefly summarized.Meanwhile,the application prospects of emerging single-atom catalysts in electrochemical filtration are also presented.Thereafter,several electrochemical advanced oxidation processes coupled with membrane filtration are described,and the related working mechanisms and their advantages and shortcomings used in drinking water purification are illustrated.Finally,the roles of electrochemical filtration in drinking water purification are presented,and the main problems and future perspectives of electrochemical filtration in the removal of low concentration pollutants are discussed.

Shengmaisan combined with liuwei Dihuang Decoction alleviates chronic intermittent hypoxia-induced cognitive impairment by activating the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling pathway

Chronic intermittent hypoxia(CIH),a principal pathophysiological aspect of obstructive sleep apnea(OSA),is associated with cognitive deficits.Clinical evidence suggests that a combination of Shengmaisan and liuwei Dihuang Decoctions(SMS-LD)can enhance cognitive function by nourishing yin and strengthening the kidneys.This study aimed to assess the efficacy and underlying mechanisms of SMS-LD in addressing cognitive impairments induced by CIH.We exposed C57BL/6N mice to CIH for five weeks(20%-5%O_(2),5 min/cycle,8 h/day)and administered SMS-LD intragastrically(15.0 or 30 g·kg^(-1)·day)30 min before each CIH session.Additionally,AG490,a JJanus kinase 2(JAK2)inhibitor,was administered via intracerebroventricular injection.Cognitive function was evaluated using the Morris water maze,while synaptic and mitochondrial structures were examined by transmission electron microscopy.Oxidative stress levels were determined using DHE staining,and the activation of the erythropoietin(ER)/ER receptor(EPOR)/JAK2 signaling pathway was analyzed through immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.To further investigate molecular mechanisms,HT22 cells were treated in vitro with either SMS-LD medicated serum alone or in combination with AG490 and then exposed to CIH for 48 h.Our results indicate that SMS-LD significantly mitigated CIH-induced cognitive impairments in mice.Specifically,SMS-LD treatment enhanced dendritic spine density,ameliorated mitochondrial dysfunction,reduced oxidative stress,and activated the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling pathway.Conversely,AG490 negated SMS-LD’s neuroprotective and cognitive improvement effects under CIH conditions.These findings suggest that SMS-LD’s beneficial impact on cognitive impairment and synaptic and mitochondrial integrity under CIH conditions may predominantly be attributed to the activation of the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling pathway.

Excessive use of antibiotics poses a threat to public health and the environment.In ecosystems,such as the marine environment,antibiotic contamination has led to an increase in bacterial resistance.Therefore,the study of bacterial response to antibiotics and the regulation of resistance formation have become an important research field.Traditionally,the processes related to antibiotic responses and resistance regulation have mainly included the activation of efflux pumps,mutation of antibiotic targets,production of biofilms,and production of inactivated or passivation enzymes.In recent years,studies have shown that bacterial signaling networks can affect antibiotic responses and resistance regulation.Signaling systems mostly alter resistance by regulating biofilms,efflux pumps,and mobile genetic elements.Here we provide an overview of how bacterial intraspecific and interspecific signaling networks affect the response to environmental antibiotics.In doing so,this review provides theoretical support for inhibiting bacterial antibiotic resistance and alleviating health and ecological problems caused by antibiotic contamination.

Recent development in selective Tau tracers for PET imaging in the brain

Abnormal Tau deposition is a crucial pathological hallmark of various neurodegenerative disorders defined as tauopathies,of which Alzheimer’s disease is the most prominent one.To date,a large number of chemical entities with different structures have been developed as Tau imaging tracers for the early diagnosis of tauopathies.Several of them with excellent bio-properties are currently being assessed in clinical trials,and more recently,the Tauvid^(TM)([^(18)F]Flortaucipir,also known as[^(18)F]AV1451 or[^(18)F]T807)as the first Tau tracer was approved by the U.S.Food and Drug Administration in 2020.This review summarized the latest development of Tau tracers and analyzed their chemical structures,with particular attention to the effects of chemical structures on biological properties.In addition,we also discuss the limitations of current Tau imaging tracers,issues that need attention in the development of new tracers,and possible future directions.

Lead-free perovskite Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)photodetector detecting NIR light driven by titanium nitride plasmonic hot holes

Lead-free perovskite Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)manifests great potential in developing high-performance,environmentally friendly,solution-processable photodetectors(PDs).However,due to the relatively large energy bandgap,the spectrum responses of Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PDs are limited to the ultraviolet and visible region with wavelengths shorter than 560 nm.In this work,a broadband Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PD covering the ultraviolet,visible,and near infrared(NIR)range is demonstrated by incorporating titanium nitride(TiN)nanoparticles that are prepared with the assistance of self-assembled polystyrene sphere array.In addition,an atomically thick Al2O3layer is introduced at the interface between the Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)film and TiN nanoparticles to alleviate the dark current deterioration caused by nanoparticle incorporation.As a result,beyond the spectrum range where Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)absorbs light,the external quantum efficiency(EQE)of the TiN nanoparticle incorporated Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PD is enhanced significantly compared with that of the control,displaying enhancement factors as high as 2000 over a broadband NIR wavelength range.The demonstrated enhancement in EQE arises from the photocurrent contribution of plasmonic hot holes injected from TiN nanoparticles into Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6).This work promotes the development of broadband solution-processable perovskite PDs,providing a promising strategy for realizing photodetection in the NIR region.
