Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal malignant tumors in the world.Despite advances in diagnosis and treatment,the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer patients remains only 9%.1 Pancreatic adenocarcinoma(PAAD)belongs to pancreatic cancer,which occupies 85%of the whole pancreatic cancer.2 Reversible modification of Ne-methyladenosine(mA)has been shown to be involved in cancer progression,resulting in up-regulation of oncogene expression or down-regulation of tumor-suppressing genes and may affect the prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer.

Rock fracture mechanisms can be inferred from moment tensors(MT)inverted from microseismic events.However,MT can only be inverted for events whose waveforms are acquired across a network of sensors.This is limiting for underground mines where the microseismic stations often lack azimuthal coverage.Thus,there is a need for a method to invert fracture mechanisms using waveforms acquired by a sparse microseismic network.Here,we present a novel,multi-scale framework to classify whether a rock crack contracts or dilates based on a single waveform.The framework consists of a deep learning model that is initially trained on 2400000+manually labelled field-scale seismic and microseismic waveforms acquired across 692 stations.Transfer learning is then applied to fine-tune the model on 300000+MT-labelled labscale acoustic emission waveforms from 39 individual experiments instrumented with different sensor layouts,loading,and rock types in training.The optimal model achieves over 86%F-score on unseen waveforms at both the lab-and field-scale.This model outperforms existing empirical methods in classification of rock fracture mechanisms monitored by a sparse microseismic network.This facilitates rapid assessment of,and early warning against,various rock engineering hazard such as induced earthquakes and rock bursts.

Coal gangue(CG)is an environmental waste that faces an urgent demand for disposal in China.The utilization of CG in construction materials has broad application prospects and gained increasing interest.However,the poor compatibility of polycarboxylate superplasticizer(PCE)with CG powder hinders its efficiency in a wide range of applications.Here,this paper attempts to improve the compatibility of PCE with CG powder in cement paste based on the regulation of aggregation and the adsorption behavior of PCE.Dynamic light scattering(DLS)and fluorescence spectroscopy tests were carried out to understand the improved mechanism.The results indicated that the addition of CG powder increases the ionic strengths of the cement liquid phase,which makes PCE tend to aggregate at a lower concentration compared with no CG powder introduction.Adding(CH_(3)COO)_(2)Cu is beneficial for enhancing the workability of cement paste by reducing PCE aggregation while maintaining the compressive strength of cement specimens.Therefore,(CH_(3)COO)_(2)Cu extra addition can be regarded as an effective and sustainable way to improve the workability of cement paste with CG powder.

Antimicrobial resistance characteristics and phylogenetic relationships of pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates from different environmental samples along a laying hen production chain

Antimicrobial resistance in the laying hen production industry has become a serious public health problem.The antimicrobial resistance and phylogenetic relationships of the common conditional pathogen Enterococcus along the laying hen production chain have not been systematically clarified.105 Enterococcus isolates were obtained from 115 environmental samples (air,dust,feces,fies,sewage,and soil) collected along the laying hen production chain (breeding chicken,chick,young chicken,and commercial laying hen).These Enterococcus isolates exhibited resistance to some clinically relevant antibiotics,such as tetracycline (92.4%),streptomycin (92.4%),and erythromycin (91.4%),and all strains had multidrug resistance phenotypes.Whole genome sequencing characterized 29 acquired antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) that conferred resistance to 11 classes of antibiotics in 51pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates,and lsa(E),which mediates resistance to pleuromutilins,always co-occurred with lnu(B).Alignments with the Mobile Genetic Elements database identified four transposons (Tn554,Tn558,Tn6261,and Tn6674) with several ARGs(erm(A),ant(9)-la,fex(A),and optrA) that mediated resistance to many clinically important antibiotics.Moreover,we identified two new transposons that carried ARGs in the Tn554 family designated as Tn7508 and Tn7492.A complementary approach based on conventional multi-locus sequence typing and whole genome single nucleotide polymorphism analysis showed that phylogenetically related pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates were widely distributed in various environments on different production farms.Our results indicate that environmental contamination by antimicrobial-resistant Enterococcus requires greater attention,and they highlight the risk of pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus and ARGs disseminating along the laying hen production chain,thereby warranting effective disinfection.

A new 3D log-spiral model(LS-M model)is proposed to determine the minimal support pressure on the tunnel face of a large shielddriven tunnel in rock-soil interface(RSI)composite formations.In the proposed LS-M model,we define the RSI angle ω and use a new approach to calculate the equivalent tunnel face area,which provides a collapse zone with more realistic geometry than the traditional wedge model.And it has acceptable accuracy with simpler implementation than limit equilibrium analysis.Comparing with previous studies and 3D numerical analysis,it indicates that:(i)the LS-M results agree well with others in full-soil formations on the variation patterns of minimum support pressure and stability coefficients N_(c) and N_(γ);(ii)the critical RSI angle ω_(cr),which is predominantly influenced by soil cohesion,increases with the soil property values;(iii)the limit support pressure starts to increase with ω only when ω>ω_(cr);(iv)the peak support pressure occurs at lower C/D with a lower ω;(v)ω can only affect stability coefficients N_(c) and N_(γ) when ω and the friction angle are relatively small,while N_(s) is substantially influenced by RSI angle ω.

Heart rate is an important metric for determining physical and mental health.In recent years,remote photoplethysmography(rPPG)has been widely used in characterizing physiological signals in human subjects.Currently,research on non-contact detection of heart rate mainly focuses on the capture and separation of spectral signals from video imagery.However,this method is very sensitive to the movement of the test subject and light intensity variation,and this results in motion artifacts which presents challenges in extracting accurate physiological signals such as heart rate.In this paper,an improved method for rPPG signal preprocessing is proposed.Based on the well known red green blue(RGB)color space,we segmented skin tone in different color spaces and extracted rPPG signals,after which we use a skin segmentation training model based on the luminance component,the blue-difference chroma components,and red-difference chroma components(YCbCr),as well as hue saturation intensity(HSI)color models.In the experimental verification section,we compare the robustness of the signal on different color spaces.In summary,we are experimentally verifying a better image pre-processing method based on real-time rPPG,which results in more precise measurements through the comparative analysis of skin segmentation and signal quality.

Aging increases the risks of various diseases and the vulnerability to death.Cellular senescence is a hallmark of aging that contributes greatly to aging and aging-related diseases.This study demonstrates that extracellular vesicles from human urine-derived stem cells(USC-EVs)efficiently inhibit cellular senescence in vitro and in vivo.The intravenous injection of USC-EVs improves cognitive function,increases physical fitness and bone quality,and alleviates aging-related structural changes in different organs of senescence-accelerated mice and natural aging mice.The anti-aging effects of USC-EVs are not obviously affected by the USC donors’ages,genders,or health status.Proteomic analysis reveals that USC-EVs are enriched with plasminogen activator urokinase(PLAU)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 1(TIMP1).These two proteins contribute importantly to the anti-senescent effects of USC-EVs associated with the inhibition of matrix metalloproteinases,cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A(P16INK4a),and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1A(P21cip1).These findings suggest a great potential of autologous USC-EVs as a promising anti-aging agent by transferring PLAU and TIMP1 proteins.

液化天然气运输船舶在航行过程中,可利用其装载货物的自然蒸发气与强制蒸发气作为船舶动力燃料。根据这一实际情况,提出混合蒸发气动力模式下液化天然气海运航线配船优化方法。通过构建船舶航速、蒸发气消耗量及航次交付量之间的关联函数,权衡液化天然气强制蒸发量与航次成本间的反馈关系。考虑自有船和定期租船、航次运输时间、蒸发损失等因素,以液化天然气船队年运营成本最低为目标,设计混合蒸发气管理策略,建立液化天然气海上运输航线配船与航速联合优化模型。根据模型特点,将遗传算法与优化软件相结合,提出基于模型分解的嵌套求解算法。最后,以航运企业实际运营数据为背景开展案例分析,计算结果表明,采用混合蒸发气管理策略可使航运企业运营成本降低7.13%,船队闲置率降低4.8%。敏感性分析结果表明,随液化天然气现货价的增高,采用混合蒸发气管理策略调整强制蒸发气用量对企业运营成本的降低效果更加显著。

Chinese Spirits Identification Model Based on Mid-Infrared Spectrum

Applying computer technology to the field of food safety,and how to identify liquor quickly and accurately,is of vital importance and has become a research focus.In this paper,sparse principal component analysis(SPCA)was applied to seek sparse factors of the mid-infrared(MIR)spectra of five famous vintage year Chinese spirits.The results showed while meeting the maximum explained variance,23 sparse principal components(PCs)were selected as features in a support vector machine(SVM)model,which obtained a 97%classification accuracy.By comparison principal component analysis(PCA)selected 10 PCs as features but only achieved an 83%classification accuracy.Although both approaches were better than a direct SVM approach based on the classification results(64%classification accuracy),they also demonstrated the importance of extracting sparse PCs,which captured most important information.The combination of computer technology SPCA and MIR provides a new and convenient method for liquor identification in food safety.
