MicroRNA-329-3p inhibits the Wnt/β-catenin pathway and proliferation of osteosarcoma cells by targeting transcription factor 7-like 1

An important factor in the emergence and progre sion of osteosarcoma(OS)is the dysregulated expression of microRNAs(miRNAs).Transcription factor 7-like 1(TCF7LI),a member of the T cell factor/lymphoid enhancer factor(TCF/LEF)transcription factor family,interacts with the Wnt signaling pathway regulator β-catenin and acts as a DNA-specific binding *** study sought to elucidate the impact of the interaction between miR 3293p and TCF7L1 *** growth and apoptosis of OS and analyze the regulatory expression relationship between miRNA and mRNA in osteosarcoma cells using a variety of ***329-3p was significantly downregulated,while TCF7L1 was considerably up-regulated in all examined OS cell ***,a clinical comparison study was performed using the TCGA ***,the regulatory relationship between miR-329-3p and TCF7L1 on the proliferation and apoptosis of OS cells was verified through in vitro and in vivo *** miR 329-3p was transfected into the OS cell line,the expression of TCF7L1 decreased,the proliferation of OS cells was inhibited,the cytoskeleton disintegrated,and the nucleus condensed to fom apoptotic *** expression of proteins that indicate apoptosis increased *** cell cycle was arrested in the G0/G1 phase,and the G1/S transition was *** introduction of miR 3293p also inhibited downstream Cyclin D1 of the Wnt *** experiments indicated that the overexpression of miR-329-3p signi ficanly inhibited the growth of OS xenografts in nude mice,and the expression of TCF7L1 and C-Myc in tumor tssues *** 329-3p was significantly reduced in OS cells and played a suppressive role in tumorigenesis and proliferation by targeting TCF7L1 both in vitro and in *** cell cycle arrest and pathway inhibition were observed upon the regulation of TCF7LI by miR *** these results,it can be inferred that miR.3293p exerts anticancer efects in osteosarcom

The anti-oncogenic effect of 17-DMAG via the inactivation of HSP90 and MET pathway in osteosarcoma cells

Heat shock protein(HSP)90 plays a crucial role in correcting the misfolded three-dimensional structure of proteins,assisting them in folding into proper ***90 is critical in maintaining the normal functions of various proteins within cells,as essential factors for cellular ***,HSP90 simultaneously supports the maturation of cancer-related proteins,including mesenchymal epithelial transition factor(MET)within tumor *** osteosarcoma cell lines had elevated MET expression in the cDNA array in our ***,a tyrosine kinase receptor,promotes proliferation and an anti-apoptotic state through the activation of the MET pathway constructed by *** this study,we treated osteosarcoma cells with an HSP90 inhibitor,17-demethoxygeldanamycin hydrochloride(17-DMAG),and assessed the changes in the MET signaling pathway and also the antitumor effect of the *** cell cycle in osteosarcoma cells administered 17-DMAG was found to be halted at the G2/M ***,treatment with 17-DMAG inhibited cell proliferation and induced *** of tumor cell proliferation was also observed in an in vivo model system,mice that were treated with *** on the results of this study,we were able to confirm that 17-DMAG promotes inhibition of osteosarcoma cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis by inhibition of MET,a protein highly expressed in osteosarcoma *** approach may be useful for the establishment of a new treatment strategy for patients resistant to the standard treatment for osteosarcoma.

Patellar dislocation following distal femoral replacement after extraarticular knee resection for bone sarcoma:A case report

Numerical investigation of the effect of seasonal variations of depthof-closure on shoreline evolution

The current study presents the effects of seasonal variations in the depth-of-closure（D;） on shoreline evolution using a numerical,one-line shoreline *** erosion of the southern beach of the Nha Trang Coast,which is located in south central of Vietnam,is selected as the study *** study area is immensely influenced by the tropical monsoon climate that has a clear pattern of large waves in the northeast monsoon season and calm waves in the non-monsoon *** analysis of the long-term measured shoreline variations from a video-camera system has found a strong correlation of these variations to the monsoon-dominated wave characteristics in the Nha Trang ***,a new approach for determining the depth-of-closure with consideration of the seasonal wave climate changes is purposed in the current *** implementing this new approach into a numerical,one-line shoreline model,it is found that the seasonal variations of D;appear to better describe the periodical shoreline evolution due to the monsoon-dominated wave characteristics for the Nha Trang *** important findings are considered to commonly apply for monsoon-dominated coastal regions in *** findings are useful information not only for scientific readers but also for the coastal authorities and managers in order to make better countermeasure plans against this kind of erosion mechanism in the future.

How to maintain nutritional status after esophagectomy via the tanaka method

Aim:Many therapeutic means have emerged to treat esophageal *** relating to nutritional status such as body weight maintenance are important to the continuation of these *** this study,we investigated methods to extend the administration of diversified treatments for patients with esophageal cancer,especially regarding measures to suppress body weight loss after ***:We retrospectively evaluated a strategy for preventing postoperative body weight loss which can hinder the continuation of treatment via a reconstruction method aimed at safety and comfort combined with postoperative dietary intake and nutritional support for esophageal cancer ***:The subjects comprised 386 patients who underwent subtotal stomach reconstruction during esophageal cancer surgery performed from January 2008 to January 2021 at Gifu University *** anastomotic leakage rate was 0.5%.By administering oral nutritional supplementation under strict rules using ENSURE®H during the perioperative period,the percentage of body weight loss after 5 years could be limited to 4.78%compared to that before *** assessing early feeling of fullness measured using the EORTC QLQ-OES18 at postoperative months 3,12,24,36,48,and 60 were 1.7±0.3,2.0±0.2,1.2±0.3,1.3±0.2,1.5±0.2,and 1.4±0.1,***:Considering methods to eliminate the factors that prevent continuation of treatment may lead to sustainable treatment against esophageal *** surgical reconstruction and nutritional management will allow maintenance of body weight and good quality of life.

BACKGROUND Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)is a biopsy technique widely used to diagnose pancreatic tumors because of its high sensitivity and *** needle-tract seeding caused by EUS-FNA has been recently reported,dissemination of pancreatic cancer cells is generally considered to be a rare complication that does not affect patient ***,the frequency of dissemination and needle-tract seeding appears to have been *** present a case of peritoneal dissemination of pancreatic cancer due to preoperative *** SUMMARY An 81-year-old man was referred to the Department of Surgery of our hospital in Japan owing to the detection of a pancreatic mass on computed tomography during medical ***-gastric EUS-FNA revealed that the mass was an adenocarcinoma;hence laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy with lymphadenectomy was *** intraoperative peritoneal dissemination and liver metastasis were visually detected,and pelvic lavage cytology was negative for carcinoma *** postoperative surgical specimen was negative for carcinoma cells at the dissected margin and the cut end margin;however,pathological findings revealed adenocarcinoma cells on the peritoneal surface proximal to the needle puncture site,and the cells were suspected to be disseminated via ***,the patient received adjuvant therapy with S-1(tegafur,gimeracil,and oteracil potassium);however,computed tomography performed 5 mo after surgery revealed liver metastasis and cancerous *** patient received palliative therapy and died 8 mo after the *** The indications of EUS-FNA should be carefully considered to avoid iatrogenic dissemination,especially for cancers in the pancreatic body or tail.

本文择取穆时英最早创作的以爱情故事为基轴、具有“新感觉派风格”的小说《被当作消遣品的男子》,从爱情小说这一视点出发,聚焦男主人公主体形成的故事,将其与此前尤其是五四时期的爱情小说进行彻底比较,以阐明两者之间的连续性和差异性。本文指出,将穆时英小说视为不同于五四时期小说的“现代主义”文学这一观点是20世纪80年代文学史去意识形态化的延伸。本文通过比较分析认为,穆时英小说实际上与五四时期小说之间有着很强的连续性,就男主人公作为“窥视主体”而言,继承和发展了此前小说的男主人公形象,因此穆时英小说仍是五四时期爱情小说谱系的延续,其新颖性乃至中国“现代主义”文学的新颖性,归根结蒂应该被重新考虑为发展继承五四时期小说的结果。
