Polylactide(PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT)blend nanocomposites including 3 wt%of cel-lulose nanocrystals(CNCs)were prepared by melt compounding method in a twin-screw extruder and an inter-nal *** nanocomposites were formulated by diluting three different masterbatches prepared by solution casting method that contained 7 wt%of *** masterbatches were:(m1)PLA/PBAT/CNC masterbatch;(m2)PLA/CNC masterbatch;and(m3)PBAT/CNC *** were to explore how different prepara-tion methods affect the dispersion and localization of CNC and hence the properties of PLA/PBAT/CNC blend *** electron microscopy(SEM)was used to study the structural changes of the *** properties of PLA/PBAT blends and PLA/PBAT/CNC blend nanocomposites were also *** the samples prepared by internal mixer,the rheological behavior of blend nanocomposite prepared through premixing of CNC particles with PLA showed a transition from liquid-like to a gel-like *** to the rheological results and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis,it was found that the CNC overall enhanced the viscoelastic properties of blends and improved the PLA crystallization,*** mechanical analysis(DMA)illustrated that the incorporation of CNC also enhanced the elastic modulus of PLA/PBAT blends specifically above the glass transition temperature of *** expected improvements in mechanical properties did not occur due to the possible existence of residual solvent in the blends.

Metallurgical and Corrosion Properties of Explosively Welded Ti6A14V/Low Carbon Steel Clad

Titanium alloy （Ti6Al4V） and low carbon steel （LCS） were joined by explosive welding method using different ratios of explosive. Some metallurgical properties of joined samples were investigated. Joined samples were examined by means of optical microscope, scanning electron microscope （SEM） and tensile-shearing tests. Bending, tensile, hardness and corrosion behaviour of the samples were investigated. Separation was not occurred on the joining interface after tensile-shearing and bending tests. It is seen that hardness of both plates were increased with increasing explosive. It is found that increasing explosive ratio leads to an increase in corrosion. It is also found that corrosion rate was high at the beginning of the experiment but the rate of the corrosion decreased subsequently during the experiment.

Impact of age on long term survival following transcatheter aortic valve implantation

Spectroscopic and photometric studies of a candidate pulsating star in an eclipsing binary:V948 Her

Eclipsing binary stars with a pulsating component are powerful tools that allow us to probe the stellar interior structure and the evolutionary statuses with a good accuracy. Therefore, in this study, spectroscopic and photometric examinations of an eclipsing binary system V948 Her are presented. The primary component of the system is classified to be a candidate 3 Scuti variable in the literature. The fundamental stellar, atmospheric and orbital parameters, and the surface abundance of the star were determined and the pulsation behaviour was investigated in this study. The orbital parameters were derived by the analysis of radial velocity and SuperWASP light curves. The spectral classification was found to be F2V. The initial atmospheric parameters of the primary component were derived by analysis of the spectral energy distribution and hydrogen lines. The final atmospheric parameters and chemical abundances of the primary component were obtained by using the method of spectrum synthesis. As a result, the final atmospheric parameters were determined as Teff= 7100±200 K, log 9= 4.34±0.1 cgs and ζ = 2.2 4± 0.2 km s^-1. The surface abundance was found to be similar to solar. The fundamental stellar parameters of both components were also obtained to be M = 1.722 4±0.123, 0.762 4± 0.020 Me, R = 1.655 4± 0.034,M,R= 0.689 ± 0.016 R for primary and secondary components, respectively. The pulsation characteristic of the primary component was examined using SuperWASP data and the pulsation period was found to be ~0.038 d. The position of the primary pulsating component was also obtained inside the instability strip of δ Sct stars. The primary component of V948 Her was defined to be a Sct variable.

Analysis of TESS Field Eclipsing Binary Star V948 Her: A Pulsating or Non-pulsating Star?

Pulsating stars occupy a significant place in the H-R diagram and it was thought that all stars inside the classical instability strip should pulsate. However, recent studies showed that there are many non-pulsating stars located inside the classical instability strip. The existence of these non-pulsating stars is still a mystery. To deeply understand the properties of these non-pulsating and pulsating stars, one needs precise fundamental stellar parameters(e.g. mass).For this purpose, the eclipsing binaries are unique systems. Hence, in this study, we present the TESS data analysis of one candidate pulsating eclipsing binary system, V948 Her. TESS data were used for the binary modeling with the literature radial velocity measurements, and the precise fundamental parameters of the system were obtained. The system’s age was derived as 1 ± 0.24 Gyr. The positions of the binary components in the H-R diagram were examined and the primary component was found inside the δ Scuti instability strip. However, in the frequency analysis of TESS data, we found no significant pulsation frequencies. Only the harmonics of the orbital periods were obtained in the analysis. Therefore, the system was classified as a non-pulsator. V948 Her is an important object to understand the nature of non-pulsating stars inside the δ Scuti instability strip.

Performance comparison of training algorithms for the estimation of B?hme abrasion resistance using neural networks

Natural stones used as floor and wall coverings are exposed to many different abrasive forces,so it is essential to choose suitable materials for wear resistance in terms of the life of the *** abrasion resistance of natural stones can be determined in the laboratory by applying the B?hme abrasion resistance(BAR)***,the direct analysis of BAR in the laboratory has disadvantages such as wasting time and energy,experimental errors,and health *** eliminate these disadvantages,the estimation of BAR using artificial neural networks(ANN)was *** natural stone samples were collected from Türkiye,and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),flexural strength(FS),water absorption rate(WA),unit volume weight(UW),effective porosity(n),and BAR tests were carried *** outputs of these tests were gathered and a data set,consisting of a total of 105 data,was randomly divided into two groups:testing and *** the current study,the success of three different training algorithms of Levenberg-Marquardt(LM),Bayesian regularization(BR),and scaled conjugate gradient(SCG)were compared for BAR prediction of natural *** criteria such as coefficient of determination(R~2),mean square error(MSE),mean square error(RMSE),and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),which are widely used and adopted in the literature,were used to determine predictive *** findings of the study indicated that ANN is a valid method for estimating the BAR ***,the LM algorithm(R~2=0.9999,MSE=0.0001,RMSE=0.0110,and MAPE=0.0487)in training and the BR algorithm(R~2=0.9896,MSE=0.0589,RMSE=0.2427,and MAPE=1.2327)in testing showed the best prediction *** has been observed that the proposed method is quite practical to *** the artificial neural networks method will provide an advantage in similar laborintensive experimental studies.

Umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cell implantation in retinitis pigmentosa: a 6-month follow-up results of a phase 3 trial
