We report the charge-changing cross sections(σ_(cc))of 24 p-shell nuclides on both hydrogen and carbon at about 900A MeV,of which^(8,9)Li,^(10–12)Be,^(10,14,15)B,^(14,15,17–22)N and^(16)O on hydrogen and^(8,9)Li on carbon are for the first *** from the data set,we found a new and robust relationship between the scaling factor of the Glauber model calculations and the separation energies of the nuclei of interest on both *** allows us to deduce proton radii(R_p)for the first time from the cross sections on *** identical R_p values are deduced from both target data for the neutron-rich carbon isotopes;however,the R_p from the hydrogen target is systematically smaller in the neutron-rich nitrogen *** calls for further experimental and theoretical investigations.

This article examines the physiological relationships between fine roots and foliage, and how their biomass ratio correlates with changes in stand quality class. The biomass of fine roots ≤ 3 mm in diameter of spruce stands in the Republic of Karelia (Northwest Russia) was determined by the soil monolith method. Foliage biomass was calculated using a previously designed technique from the standing stock, average height and quality class of the stand. A relation between fine-root: foliage biomass ratio and stand quality class (representing soil fertility) has been established. The closest correlation between fine-root: foliage biomass ratio and stand quality based on soil fertility was for the 1-2 mm root fraction. Analysis of the water flux balance in the trees revealed a correlation between fine-root: foliage ratio and the ratio of the specific volume of transpiration by the stand to the specific volume of water uptake from the soil by roots. Theoretical explanations for the decrease in fine-root: foliage biomass ratios with increasing stand quality class are offered.

The paper discusses main aspects of low cycle fatigue influence on the lifetime ofengine *** importance and history of the problem,the main experiments and the effectsimpacting the low cycle fatigue of structural materials are described.A hypothesis about theexistence of a thermomechanical surface of structural material,generalized to the case of acyclical loading was used to approximate the loops of cyclic nonisothermal elastoplasticdeformation *** cyclic deformation curve model is based on the following threeparameters:the elastic modulus during unloading,the Bauschinger effect and the conversionparameter of the nonlinear part of its first *** model also accounts for theaccumulated plastic strain,as well as the testing *** criterion of durability isformulated,based on the dependence between the number of halfcycles to failure and theaccumulated plastic *** theory of plasticity,generalized to the case ofcyclic deformation,in combination with the durability model and technology of"dying"elements is applied to the finite element analysis of low cycle fatigue of gas turbine *** results of calculations are demonstrated.

The complex behavior of such quantum fluids like liquid 4He and liquid 3He in nanoporous media is determined by spatial quantization because of geometrical confinement as well as by significant contribution from the surface atoms. In the present report we will review the procedure, results and discuss the issues for fractionalized nonextensive hydrodynamical approach to describe the properties of quantum fluids inside nanopores and propose consideration of strong correlated quantum liquid by means of fractionalized Schro¨dinger equation.
