The objective of this study was to test the hypothesis that a relation exists between slight atmospheric pressure fluctuations (APF) in the far infrasound frequency range and daily number of emergency transport events due to suicidal injuries (EESU). The regression models to compare groups were used to assess the relation of EESU to the mean daily amplitude of APF (APF-A) and to the ratio of APF amplitude averaged over the daytime to the APF amplitude averaged over the nighttime (Rdn). To eliminate the confounding effects of basic meteorological parameters and annual trend in EESU, the non- parametric smoothing method was used in a stepwise manner. The low APF-A (95% CI = 1.06- 1.16 Pa) compared to their common middle levels and the high (95% CI = 3.18-3.64 Pa), as well the low Rdn (СI = 0.83-0.92) and very high Rdn (CI = 3.05-3.77) compared to their more closed to common regular values (СI = 1.69-1.90) turned out to be more beneficial factors promoting the decrease in the incidence of EESU. We suppose that more attention needs to be paid to the meteorotropic effects of APF on certain kinds of psychopathology resulting in suicidal behaviour, and further investigations in different geograph- ical and climatic conditions, especially in those with more intense atmospheric perturbations, are necessary.

An additional comprehensive study of the west Siberia Karabash zone basement has been conducted. Core samples from more than 300 wells that opened the rocks of the basement were analyzed by different methods. A new map of the pre-Jurassic basement of Karabash zone of the west part of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) has been made. For the first time for the West Siberia megabasin U-Pb dating was made for samples from Shaim-Kuznetsovsk meganticlinorium and late to middle Devonian ages were obtained. The Devonian ages was obtained for metamorphic complexes of the region and, in general, for the basement of West Siberia. The complexes considered as Precambrian before that. The obtained results enable significantly to clarify more exact history of pre-Jurassic rock forming for the basement of the west part of West Siberia craton and its structure in the limits of Karabash zone. Thus, obtained data testify that in pre-Jurassic basement of the west part of the West Siberia (Karabash zone), filling grabens basalt effusion began during Permian time (probably at the end of early Permian) at sublatitudinal compression, that is, at collision, possibly immediately after or subsynchronously with the origin of the granite. On the edge of Permian and Triassic (or in early Triassic), sublatitudinal compression changed into stretching, and submeridional grabens came to existence and basalt effusion came up to the maximum.

The influence of fluctuations of atmospheric pressure on the functional state of the humans was studied during spring, autumn and winter seasons. Sensory-motor reaction time and selfreported wellbeing, activity and mood were used for evaluation of functional state. The inter-individual variations of those parameters were compared to meteorological parameters using rank order correlation and general linear model. It was found that atmospheric pressure fluctuations have a stronger negative effect with periods of 120-1200 s and 20-120 s on psychological self-assessment and with periods of 10-20 s and 5-10 s on sensory-motor reaction time than the fluctuations with other periods.

For a comprehensive experimental evaluation of the material quality, forecast of the properties and parameter change of the bituminous material was made at the time under the impact of external factors, they are subjected to the necessary tests. In the article the automated set “Tomsk-Asphalt-Test” for determining the elastic modulus of the specimens made of bituminous materials was used in road pavements, maximally close to natural conditions of operation of highways of the Siberian region inRussiaare described. The automated set contains: electromechanical, climate, electronic, PC and software subsystem. The operation principle is a short-time deformation of the asphalt specimens;measurement of physical values: the stress, strain, variation of the size line and temperature of the asphalt pavement material test specimen, converting the measured values into electrical signals, their program processing and visualization. The control of testing and viewing results of measurements is carried out in accordance with the menu software subsystem. The results of calculations: the maximum values of vertical load the difference between the maximum horizontal deformation value and the value measured last after specimen of asphalt material loading for each test cycle, the sum of the differences of the horizontal deformation values of the two sensors and modulus of elasticity.

Experimental data from the National Air Surveillance Network of Japan from 1974 to 1996 and from inde-pendent measurements performed simultaneously in the regions of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Odessa (Ukraine) and the Ukrainian “Academician Vernadsky” Antarctic station (64o15W;65o15S), where the air elemental composition was determined by the standard method of atmospheric particulate matter (PM) collection on nucleopore filters and subsequent neutron activation analysis, were analyzed. Comparative analysis of dif-ferent pairs of atmospheric PM element concentration data sets, measured in different regions of the Earth, revealed a stable linear (on a logarithmic scale) correlation, showing a power law increase of every atmos-pheric PM element mass and simultaneously the cause of this increase – fractal nature of atmospheric PM genesis. Within the framework of multifractal geometry we show that the mass (volume) of atmospheric PM elemental components has a log normal distribution, which on a logarithmic scale with respect to the random variable (elemental component mass) is identical to normal distribution. This means that the parameters of two-dimensional normal distribution with respect to corresponding atmospheric PM-multifractal elemental components measured in different regions, are a priory connected by equations of direct and inverse linear regression, and the experimental manifestation of this fact is the linear correlation between the concentra-tions of the same elemental components in different sets of experimental atmospheric PM data.
