Control of light scattering by nanoparticles with optically-induced magnetic responses

Conventional approaches to control and shape the scattering pattems of light generated by different nanostructures are mostly based on engineering of their electric response due to the fact that most metallic nanostructures support only electric resonances in the optical frequency range. Recently, fuelled by the fast development in the fields of metamaterials and plasmonics, artificial optically-induced magnetic responses have been demonstrated for various nanostructures. This kind of response can be employed to provide an extra degree of freedom for the efficient control and shaping of the scattering patterns of nanoparticles and nanoantennas. Here we review the recent progress in this research direction of nanoparticle scattering shaping and control through the interference of both electric and optically-induced magnetic responses. We discuss the magnetic resonances supported by various structures in different spectral regimes, and then summarize the original results on the scattering shaping involving both electric and magnetic responses, based on the interference of both spectrally separated （with different resonant wavelengths） and overlapped dipoles （with the same resonant wavelength）, and also other higher-order modes. Finally, we discuss the scattering control utilizing Fano resonances associated with the magnetic responses.

Using the Global Network of Isotopes in Precipitation(GNIP)method at three stations in the Cis-Ural region(Iskor,Perm,and Kungur),the monitoring results of the isotope composition of atmospheric precipitation conducted in 2016-2019 are *** lines of meteoric waters were obtained for each station and for the Cis-Ural region as a *** latitudinal zoning of changes in isotope parameters from north to south in the Cis-Ural region is noted,which is related to meteorological *** northern regions are characterized by isotopically light values compared to the southern ***,the correlation relationship between the isotopic compositions of atmospheric precipitation and meteorological parameters at each station is *** analysis data show that about 50%-90%of variations in the isotopic composition of precipitation within the annual cycle are determined by the air *** the same time,the amount of precipitation shows a relationship between the average strength and the isotopic composition of precipitation for a series of observations at Kungur station;for a series of observations at Iskor and Perm stations,there is no *** in the relationship with meteorological data are explained by different sources of moisture introduction to the station and,accordingly,the formation of the isotopic composition of *** flow of moisture is controlled by the transfer of air masses in different directions,the formation of cyclones and ***,for the northern part of the region during the year is characterized by the predominance of cyclones,whereas for the southern-anticyclones.

Using actions of free monoids and free associative algebras, we establish some schreier-type formulas involving ranks of actions and ranks of subactions in free actions or Grassmann-type relations for the ranks of intersections of subactions of free actions. The coset action of the free group is used to establish a generalization of the schreier formula in the case of subgroups of infinite index. We also study and apply large modules over free associative and free group algebras.

Data obtained on conodont distribution in the Permian-Triassic sovetashen section of Transcaucasia provide further limitations on the age of the carbon-isotopic anomalies discovered by Baud et al. (1989). The significance of Caucasian sections for working out the carbon-isotope standard for the Upper Permian and Lower Triassic (Induan) is shown. Original data on carbon-isotope composition of bivalve and brachiopod shells from Permian sediments of North-Eastern Russia (Omolon and Okhotsk areas) have been obtained, which may be used for their correlation.

We consider an integrable three-dimensional system of ordinary differential equations introduced by s. V. Kovalevskaya in a letter to G. Mittag- Leffler. We prove its isomorphism with the three-dimensional Euler top, and propose two integrable discretizations for it. Then we present an integrable generalization of the Kovalevskaya system, and study the problem of integrable discretization for this generalized system.
