The M1/M2 phenotypic shift of microglia after spinal cord injury plays an important role in the regulation of neuroinflammation during the secondary injury phase of spinal cord *** of shifting microglia polarization from M1(neurotoxic and proinflammatory type)to M2(neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory type)after spinal cord injury appears to be *** possesses an anti-inflammatory biological ***,its roles and the underlying molecular mechanisms in spinal cord injury remain *** this study,we found that tryptanthrin inhibited microglia-derived inflammation by promoting polarization to the M2 phenotype in *** promoted M2 polarization through inactivating the cgAS/STINg/NF-κB ***,we found that targeting the cgAS/STINg/NF-κB pathway with tryptanthrin shifted microglia from the M1 to M2 phenotype after spinal cord injury,inhibited neuronal loss,and promoted tissue repair and functional recovery in a mouse model of spinal cord ***,using a conditional co-culture system,we found that microglia treated with tryptanthrin suppressed endoplasmic reticulum stress-related neuronal *** together,these results suggest that by targeting the cgAS/STINg/NF-κB axis,tryptanthrin attenuates microglia-derived neuroinflammation and promotes functional recovery after spinal cord injury through shifting microglia polarization to the M2 phenotype.

Authenticated Quantum Dialogue Without Information Leakage

A lot of authenticated quantum dialogue protocols are springing up. Many of them have the problem of information leakage, or suffer from Man-In-TheMiddle attack. Some protocols can guarantee security, but have relatively low efficiency. Based on the above situation, we present a novel authenticated quantum dialogue protocol by using Bell states and entanglement *** this protocol, we adopt Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR)pairs to detect eavesdropping and transmit secret messages. We employ polarized photons to achieve authentication of users’ identity information. Compared with other quantum dialogue schemes with authentication, our protocol has several advantages. The transmitted particles are passed once and do not carry any secret messages. The proposed protocol can overcome the drawback of information leakage and resist against typical attacks. The efficiency is acceptable.

Black-Box and Public Traceability in Multi-authority Attribute Based Encryption

Ciphertext-policy Attribute-based encryption(CP-ABE) is a promising tool for implementing finegrained cryptographic access control. While the uniqueness of generating private keys brings extra security *** key escrow is inherent in CP-ABE systems because the trusted authority has the power to decrypt every ciphertext. The private keys are only associated with the attributes nor the user’s identity. Some malicious users might be tempted to leak their decryption privileges for financial gain without the risk of being caught as the decryption privilege could be shared by multiple users who own the same set of attributes. We propose a new multiauthority CP-ABE with blackbox and public traceability,where the private keys are assigned by the cooperation between one central authority and multi-authorities. The performance and security analyses indicate that the proposed scheme is highly efficient and provably secure under the security model.

Phase–amplitude model for doubly fed induction generators

The doubly fed induction generator(DFIg) is major type of wind turbine generator used in grid-connected wind farms. Practical models of DFIg have been built to study the influence of wind power generation on power system dynamics. However, most existing practical models of the DFIg are based on rectangular coordinates,in which frequency variation is neglected. In this paper, a phase-amplitude(P-A) model is proposed for a DFIg based on phase and amplitude of the internal voltage. The model structure is much like that of the synchronous generator, and the rotor voltage can manipulate both the amplitude and the phase of the internal *** have been made between the new P-A model of the DFIg and the synchronous generator model,as well as the asynchronous motor *** contributions of the new P-A model of the DFIg are discussed and it is demonstrated that the proposed model has better ability in describing power system dynamic phenomena such as voltage dynamics and structural dynamics. Simulation results and a field test validate these contributions.

In order to improve the control precision of strip coiling temperature for hot strip mill,the BP neural network was combined with mathematical model to calculate convective heat-transfer coefficient of laminar flow *** off-line calculated results indicate that the standard deviation of coiling temperature prediction is reduced by 22.84 % with the convective heat-transfer coefficient calculated by BP neural *** prospects of this method for online application are *** method is more helpful to increasing the control precision of coiling temperature for hot strip steel.

A facile synthesis of Ag nanocrystals encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon fiber(NCF)is proposed,based on the simultaneous reaction between pyrrole and Ag^(+)ions in an aqueous solvent followed by a heat *** as-prepared Ag/NCF demonstrated superior catalytic behavior toward ORR and *** improved cycling stability,a much lower discharge/charge gap of 0.89 V(vs Li/Li^(+))compared with 1.38 V for NCF cathode with a fixed capacity of 500 m Ah g^(-1)was obtained in lithium oxygen *** introduction of Ag crystals into NCF facilitates the oxygen reduction reaction/oxygen evolution reaction kinetics.X-ray diffraction analysis coupled with Raman spectroscopy confirmed that Ag/NCF cathode could reversibly catalyze Li_(2)O_(2)formation and *** NCF matrix offers a conductive network to realize rapid mass transfer and the encapsulated Ag nanocrystals supplied effective catalytic active *** combined action between both contributes to the superior electrocatalytic performance.

An adaptive system for detecting malicious queries in web attacks

Web request query strings(queries), which pass parameters to a referenced resource, are always manipulated by attackers to retrieve sensitive data and even take full control of victim web servers and web applications. However, existing malicious query detection approaches in the literature cannot cope with changing web attacks. In this paper, we introduce a novel adaptive system(AMOD) that can adaptively detect web-based code injection attacks, which are the majority of web attacks, by analyzing queries. We also present a new adaptive learning strategy, called SVM HYBRID, leveraged by our system to minimize manual work. In the evaluation, an up-to-date detection model is trained on a ten-day query dataset collected from an academic institute’s web server logs. The evaluation shows our approach overwhelms existing approaches in two respects. Firstly, AMOD outperforms existing web attack detection methods with an F-value of 99.50%and FP rate of 0.001%. Secondly, the total number of malicious queries obtained by SVM HYBRID is3.07 times that by the popular support vector machine adaptive learning(SVM AL) method. The malicious queries obtained can be used to update the web application firewall(WAF) signature library.

The assessment of personal exposure in restaurants considering heat sources and ventilation strategies

Outbreaks of airborne infections during meal consumption in diverse restaurant settings have been extensively *** is widely recognized that effective ventilation strategies are essential to minimize the infection risk in indoor environments,and these strategies should be tailored to the heat *** purpose of this study is to compare the spatial distribution of risk in restaurant rooms that use mixing or displacement ventilation,specif-ically focusing on the heat sources used for different food types,namely hotpot,normal Chinese food,and iced *** Fluid Dynamics(CFD)was employed to assess exposure *** results indicate that the use of low-temperature heat sources can elevate the risk of infection by increasing the local vertical temperature *** comparison to no heat source,the risk increased by 190.9%and 99.6%for displacement and mixing ventilation strategies,*** mixing ventilation,both low-temperature and no heat sources showed lower infection risks when compared to displacement ***,displacement ventilation is found to be highly effective in reducing the risk of infection when using a high-temperature heat source,with only 12.3%of the infection risk observed in mixing ***,the use of displacement ventilation resulted in a significant reduction in the odors emitted by hotpot,which were instead absorbed by clothes in the mixing ven-tilation *** findings provide crucial insights into the development of appropriate ventilation strategies for reducing personal exposure to airborne infections in diverse restaurant ***,we recommend using displacement ventilation in restaurants that utilize high-temperature heat sources,as it can substantially reduce the risk of infection.
