Enhancing m^(6)A modification in the motor cortex facilitates corticospinal tract remodeling after spinal cord injury

Spinal cord injury typically causes corticospinal tract disruption. Although the disrupted corticospinal tract can self-regenerate to a certain degree, the underlying mechanism of this process is still unclear. N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A) modifications are the most common form of epigenetic regulation at the RNA level and play an essential role in biological processes. However, whether m^(6)A modifications participate in corticospinal tract regeneration after spinal cord injury remains unknown. We found that expression of methyltransferase 14 protein(METTL14) in the locomotor cortex was high after spinal cord injury and accompanied by elevated m^(6)A levels. Knockdown of Mettl14 in the locomotor cortex was not favorable for corticospinal tract regeneration and neurological recovery after spinal cord injury. Through bioinformatics analysis and methylated RNA immunoprecipitation-quantitative polymerase chain reaction, we found that METTL14 regulated Trib2 expression in an m^(6)A-regulated manner, thereby activating the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway and promoting corticospinal tract regeneration. Finally, we administered syringin, a stabilizer of METTL14, using molecular docking. Results confirmed that syringin can promote corticospinal tract regeneration and facilitate neurological recovery by stabilizing METTL14. Findings from this study reveal that m^(6)A modification is involved in the regulation of corticospinal tract regeneration after spinal cord injury.

The current single-atom catalysts(SACs)for medicine still suffer from the limited active site ***,we develop a synthetic method capable of increasing both the metal loading and mass-specific activity of SACs by exchanging zinc with *** constructed iron SACs(h^(3)-FNC)with a high metal loading of 6.27 wt%and an optimized adjacent Fe distance of~4 A exhibit excellent oxidase-like catalytic performance without significant activity decay after being stored for six months and promising antibacterial ***,a“density effect”has been found at a high-enough metal doping amount,at which individual active sites become close enough to interact with each other and alter the electronic structure,resulting in significantly boosted intrinsic activity of single-atomic iron sites in h^(3)-FNCs by 2.3 times compared to low-and medium-loading ***,the overall catalytic activity of h^(3)-FNC is highly improved,with mass activity and metal mass-specific activity that are,respectively,66 and 315 times higher than those of commercial Pt/*** addition,h^(3)-FNCs demonstrate efficiently enhanced capability in catalyzing oxygen reduction into superoxide anion(O_(2)·^(−))and glutathione(GSH)*** in vitro and in vivo assays demonstrate the superior antibacterial efficacy of h^(3)-FNCs in promoting wound *** work presents an intriguing activity-enhancement effect in catalysts and exhibits impressive therapeutic efficacy in combating bacterial infections.

The growth of dendrites and the side reactions occurring at the Zn anode pose significant challenges to the commercialization of aqueous Zn-ion batteries（AZIBs）. These challenges arise from the inherent conflict between mass transfer and electrochemical kinetics. In this study, we propose the use of a multifunctional electrolyte additive based on the xylose（Xylo） molecule to address these issues by modulating the solvation structure and electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby stabilizing the Zn anode. The introduction of the additive alters the solvation structure, creating steric hindrance that impedes charge transfer and then reduces electrochemical kinetics. Furthermore, in-situ analyses demonstrate that the reconstructed electrode/electrolyte interface facilitates stable and rapid Zn2+ion migration and suppresses corrosion and hydrogen evolution reactions. As a result, symmetric cells incorporating the Xylo additive exhibit significantly enhanced reversibility during the Zn plating/stripping process, with an impressively long lifespan of up to 1986 h, compared to cells using pure ZnSO4electrolyte. When combined with a polyaniline cathode, the full cells demonstrate improved capacity and long-term cyclic stability. This work offers an effective direction for improving the stability of Zn anode via electrolyte design, as well as highperformance AZIBs.

For group signature(GS)supporting membership revocation,verifier-local revocation(VLR)mechanism seems to be a more flexible choice,because it requires only that verifiers download up-to-date revocation information for signature verification,and the signers are not *** a post-quantum secure cryptographic counterpart of classical number-theoretic cryptographic constructions,the first lattice-based VLR group signature(VLR-GS)was introduced by Langlois et al.(2014).However,none of the contemporary lattice-based VLR-GS schemes provide backward unlinkability(BU),which is an important property to ensure that previously issued signatures remain anonymous and unlinkable even after the corresponding signer(i.e.,member)is *** this study,we introduce the first lattice-based VLR-GS scheme with BU security(VLR-GS-BU),and thus resolve a prominent open problem posed by previous *** new scheme enjoys an O(log N)factor saving for bit-sizes of the group public-key(GPK)and the member’s signing secret-key,and it is free of any public-key *** the random oracle model,our scheme is proven secure under two well-known hardness assumptions of the short integer solution(SIS)problem and learning with errors(LWE)problem.

This paper proposes the first lattice-based sequential aggregate signature （SAS） scheme with lazy verification that is provably secure in the random oracle model. As opposed to large integer factoring and discrete logarithm based systems, the security of the construction relies on worst-case lattice problem, namely, under the small integer solution （SIS） assumption. Generally speaking, SAS schemes enable any group of signers ordered in a chain to sequentially combine their signatures such that the size of the aggregate signature is much smaller than the total size of all individual signatures. Unlike prior such proposals, the new scheme does not require a signer to retrieve the keys of other signers and verify the aggregate-so-far before adding its own signature, and the signer can add its own signature to an unverified aggregate and forward it along immediately, postponing verification until load permits or the necessary public keys are obtained. Indeed, the new scheme does not even require a signer to know the public keys of other signers.

The sustainable development of coal mining cities in Heilongjiang province has important effect on the economic stability and development of Heilongjiang, Northeast China, and China at large. To further the sustainable development evaluation system of coal mining cities in Heilongjiang province, based on the analytic hierarchy process （AHP） method combined with operational and scientific principles using Saaty＇s 1-9 scale method to construct the judgment matrix from five aspects, such as economic development and environmental quality, this paper establishes the comprehensive evaluation index sys- tem of sustainable development of coal mining cities in Heilongjiang province, including comprehensive index of industrial economic benefits and the contribution rate of science and technology. In addition, using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, a comprehensive evaluation is made on the indices of the four major coal mining cities of Heilongjiang. The result shows that the coal mining cities are not bet- ter than Datong of Shanxi province in many indices. The economic development and environment quality are the most important indices of the targeted layer influencing the sustainable development of coal min- ing cities of HeilonKiiang, and their index weights are 0.4358 and 0.2844, respectively. These two indices including comprehensive index of industrial economic benefit and the ratio of environmental protection investment to GDP are the key elements influencing the two aspects.

Impossible differential cryptanalysis is a method recovering secret key, which gets rid of the keys that satisfy impossible differential relations. This paper concentrates on the impossible differential cryptanalysis of Advanced Encryption Standard （AES） and presents two methods for impossible differential cryptanalysis of 7-round AES-192 and 8-round AES-256 combined with time-memory trade-off by exploiting weaknesses in their key schedule. This attack on the reduced to 7-round AES-192 requires about 294.5 chosen plaintexts, demands 2129 words of memory, and performs 2157 7-round AES-192 encryptions. Furthermore, this attack on the reduced to 8-round AES-256 requires about 2^101 chosen plaintexts, demands 2^201 words of memory, and performs 2^228 8-round AES-256 encryptions.
