Anti-osteosarcoma trimodal synergistic therapy using NiFe-LDH and MXene nanocomposite for enhanced biocompatibility and efficacy

Osteosarcoma is usually resistant to immunotherapy and,thus primarily relies on surgical resection and high-dosage ***,less invasive or toxic therapies such as photothermal therapy(PTT)and chemodynamic therapy(CDT)generally failed to show satisfactory *** multimodal therapies with proper safety profiles may provide better solutions for ***,a simple nanocomposite that synergistically combines CDT,PTT,and chemotherapy for osteosarcoma treatment was *** this composite,small 2D Ni Fe-LDH flakes were processed into 3D hollow nanospheres via template methods to encapsulate 5-Fluorouracil(5-FU)with high loading *** nanospheres were then adsorbed onto larger 2D Ti3C2MXene monolayers and finally shielded by bovine serum albumin(BSA)to form 5-FU@Ni Fe-LDH/Ti3C2/BSA nanoplatforms(5NiTiB).Both in vitro and in vivo data demonstrated that the 5-FU induced chemotherapy,Ni Fe-LDH driven chemodynamic effects,and MXene-based photothermal killing collectively exhibited a synergistic“all-in-one”anti-tumor effect.5NiTiB improved tumor suppression rate from<5%by 5-FU alone to~80.1%.This nanotherapeutic platform achieved higher therapeutic efficacy with a lower agent dose,thereby minimizing side ***,the composite is simple to produce,enabling the fine-tuning of dosages to suit different ***,the platform is versatile and efficient,with potential for further development.

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a common chronic inflammatory disorder that usually affects *** was found that roburic acid(RBA),an ingredient from anti-RA herb Gentiana macrophylla Pall.,displayed strong anti-inflammatory ***,its medical application is limited by its hydrophobicity,lack of targeting capability and unclear functional ***,we constructed a pH responsive dual-target drug delivery system hitchhiking RBA(RBA-NPs)that targeted both CD44 and folate receptors,and investigated its pharmacological *** rat RA model,the nanocarriers effectively delivered RBA to inflammatory sites and significantly enhanced the therapeutic outcomes compared with free RBA,as well as strongly reducing inflammatory cytokine levels and promoting tissue *** analysis revealed that M1 macrophages in the joints were reprogrammed to M2 phenotype by *** the balance of pro-and anti-inflammatory macrophages play important roles in maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing excessive inflammation in RA,this reprogramming is likely responsible for the anti-RA ***,we revealed that RBA-NPs drove M1-to-M2 phenotypic switch by down-regulating the glycolysis level via blocking ERK/HIF-1α/GLUT1 ***,our work not only developed a targeting delivery system that remarkably improved the anti-RA efficiency of RBA,but also identified a potential molecular target to reversely reprogram macrophages though energy metabolism regulation.

Thermal and mechanical behavior of casting copper alloy wheel during wheel and belt continuous casting process

To investigate the thermal and mechanical behavior of casting wheel,a two-dimensional thermoelastic-plastic finite element model was used to predict the temperature,stress and distortion distribution of the casting wheel during the wheel and belt continuous casting *** effects of grinding thickness and casting speed on the thermal and mechanical behaviors of the center of the hot face of the casting wheel were discussed in *** each rotation,the casting wheel passes through four different spray *** results show that the temperature distribution of the casting wheel in different spray zones is similar,the temperature of the hot face is the highest and the temperature reaches the peak in the spray zoneⅢ.The stress and distortion depend on the temperature distribution,and the maximum stress and distortion of the hot face are 358.2 MPa and 1.82 mm,*** temperature at the center of the hot face decreases with increasing grinding thickness and increases with increasing casting speed.

Durable poly(binaphthyl-co-p-terphenyl piperidinium)-based anion exchange membranes with dual side chains

Building well-developed ion-conductive highways is highly desirable for anion exchange membranes(AEMs).Grafting side chain is a highly effective approach for constructing a well-defined phaseseparated morphological structure and forming unblocked ion pathways in AEMs for fast ion *** of side chains can further enhance phase separation due to the superhydrophobic nature of fluorine ***,their electronic effect on the alkaline stability of side chains and membranes is rarely ***,fluorine-containing and fluorine-free side chains are introduced into the polyaromatic backbone in proper configuration to investigate the impact of the fluorine terminal group on the stability of the side chains and membrane *** poly(binaphthyl-co-p-terphenyl piperidinium)AEM(QBNp TP)has the highest molecular weight and most dimensional stability due to its favorable backbone arrangement among ortho-and meta-terphenyl based ***,by introducing both a fluorinated piperidinium side chain and a hexane chain into the p-terphenyl-based backbone,the prepared AEM(QBNp TP-QFC)presents an enhanced conductivity(150.6 m S cm^(-1))and a constrained swelling at 80℃.The electronic effect of fluorinated side chains is contemplated by experiments and *** results demonstrate that the presence of strong electro-withdrawing fluorine groups weakens the electronic cloud of adjacent C atoms,increasing OH^(-)attack on the C atom and improving the stability of piperidinium *** QBNp TP-QFC possesses a robust alkaline stability at 80℃(95.3%conductivity retention after testing in 2 M Na OH for 2160 h).An excellent peak power density of 1.44 W cm^(-2)and a remarkable durability at 80℃(4.5%voltage loss after 100 h)can be observed.

Effect of mesopore spatial distribution of HZSM-5 catalyst on zinc state and product distribution in 1-hexene aromatization

1-hexene aromatization is a promising technology to convert excess olefin in fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)gasoline to high-value benzene(B),toluene(T),and ***,the increasing market demand of xylene has put forward higher requirements for new generation of *** increasing xylene yield in 1-hexene aromatization,the effect of mesopore structure and spatial distribution on product distribution and Zn loading was *** with different mesopore spatial distribution were prepared by post-treatment of parent HZSM-5 zeolite,including NaOH treatment,tetra-propylammonium hydroxide(TPAOH)treatment,and *** was found the evenly distributed mesopore mainly prolongs the catalyst lifetime by enhancing diffusion properties but reduces the aromatics selectivity,as a result of damage of micropores close to the catalyst *** the selectivity of high-value xylene can be highly promoted when the mesopore is mainly distributed interior the ***,the state of loaded Zn was also affected by mesopores spatial *** the optimized catalyst,the xylene selectivity was enhanced by 12.4%compared with conventional Zn-loaded parent HZSM-5 catalyst at conversion over 99%.It was attributed to the synergy effect of mesopores spatial distribution and optimized acid *** work reveals the role of mesopores in different spatial positions of 1-hexene aromatization catalysts in the reaction process and the influence on metal distribution,as well as their synergistic effect two on the improvement of xylene selectivity,which can improve our understanding of catalyst pore structure and be helpful for the rational design of high-efficient catalyst.

Impacts of central-Pacific El Niño and physical drivers on eastern Pacific bigeye tuna

Bigeye tuna Thunnus obesus is an important migratory species that forages deeply,and El Niño events highly influence its distribution in the eastern Pacific *** sea surface temperature is widely recognized as the main factor affecting bigeye tuna(BET)distribution during El Niño events,the roles of different types of El Niño and subsurface oceanic signals,such as ocean heat content and mixed layer depth,remain *** conducted A spatial-temporal analysis to investigate the relationship among BET distribution,El Niño events,and the underlying oceanic signals to address this knowledge *** used monthly purse seine fisheries data of BET in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean(ETPO)from 1994 to 2012 and extracted the central-Pacific El Niño(CPEN)indices based on Niño 3 and Niño ***,we employed Explainable Artificial Intelligence(XAI)models to identify the main patterns and feature importance of the six environmental variables and used information flow analysis to determine the causality between the selected factors and BET ***,we analyzed Argo datasets to calculate the vertical,horizontal,and zonal mean temperature differences during CPEN and normal years to clarify the oceanic thermodynamic structure differences between the two types of *** findings reveal that BET distribution during the CPEN years is mainly driven by advection feedback of subsurface warmer thermal signals and vertically warmer habitats in the CPEN domain area,especially in high-yield fishing *** high frequency of CPEN events will likely lead to the westward shift of fisheries centers.

The late Early-Paleozoic granitic magmatism in Northwestern Fujian, China: constraints on intraplate orogeny in the South China block

The Early Paleozoic tectono-thermal event was a significant orogenic activity during the Phanerozoic era,which had a profound impact on the early crust of the South China Block(SCB) and established the foundation for later tectonic *** Wuyi-Yunkai orogenic belt in Southeastern China was extensively exposed to Early Paleozoic magmatism,the genetic mechanism of which remains *** shed light on this issue,detailed petrological,geochemical,and zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopic studies were carried out on two granitoids,namely the Yuntongshan pluton and the gaoqiao pluton,identified in the central *** U-Pb chronology of the Yuntongshan and gaoqiao bodies yielded ages of437±4 Ma(MSWD=2.2) and 404±2 Ma(MSWD=12),respectively,indicating that they were emplaced during the Early Silurian and Early Devonian *** granitoids are primarily composed of biotite-granite and biotite-monzonitic-granites,with high concentrations of S_(i)O_(2)(73.59-75.91 wt%),K_(2)O+Na_(2)O(8.31-8.73wt%),and low contents of MgO,CaO,Cr,*** are classified as high-K calc-alkaline and weakly metaluminous-strongly peraluminous S-type *** granitoids are enriched in light rare earth elements(LREEs) and large ion lithophile elements(LILEs) and depleted in heavy rare earth elements(HREEs) and high field strength elements(HFSEs) with arc *** εHf(t) values of-3.3 to-15.4 with two-stage Hf model ages ranging from 2829 to 1644 Ma,combined with the presence of Neoproterozoic inherited zircons,suggest that the primary magma of these granitoids was derived from the partial melting of Neoproterozoic crust with a Paleoproterozoic crustal model *** findings,combined with the spatio-temporal distribution of regional magmatism,reveal that the late Early-Paleozoic granitoids formed in the intraplate orogenic background originating from the subduction of the proto-Tethys Ocean and proto-Pacific Ocean around the margin of the east Gondwana supercontinent.

A novel relationship between elastic modulus and void ratio associated with principal stress for coral calcareous sand

Elastic moduli,*** modulus G and bulk modulus K,are important parameters of geotechnical materials,which are not only the indices for the evaluation of the deformation ability of soils but also the important basic parameters for the development of the constitutive models of geotechnical *** this study,a series of triaxial loading-unloading-reloading shear tests and isotropic loading-unloadingreloading tests are conducted to study several typical mechanical properties of coral calcareous sand(CCS),and the void ratio evolution during loading,unloading and *** test results show that the stress-strain curves during multiple unloading processes are almost parallel,and their slopes are much greater than the deformation modulus at the initial stage of *** relationship between the confining pressure and the volumetric strain can be defined approximately by a hyperbolic equation under the condition of monotonic loading of confining *** the condition of confining pressure unloading,the evolution of void ratio is linear in the e-lnp0 plane,and these lines are a series of almost parallel lines if there are multiple processes of *** on the experimental results,it is found that the modified Hardin formulae for the elastic modulus estimation have a significant deviation from the tested values for *** on the experimental results,it is proposed that the elastic modulus of soils should be determined by the intersection line of two spatial surfaces in the G/K-e-p’/pa space(pa:atmosphere pressure).“Ye formulation”is further proposed for the estimation of the elastic modulus of *** new estimation formulation for soil elastic modulus would provide a new method to accurately describe the mechanical behavior of granular soils.

Numerical simulation of fluid flow and free surface fluctuations during wheel and belt casting process

The unstable fluid flow and severe free surface fluctuations in the wheel and belt caster can affect the quality of the cast *** lower level height tends to entrap inclusions in the molten *** the other hand,the higher level height makes the production process more dangerous due to the overflow of high temperature fluid from the mold.A computational model of the molten metal pouring process was *** transient fluid flow and free surface fluctuations behavior were calculated using the three-dimensional large eddy simulation model and the volume of fluid *** results show that the flow velocity of the main jet gradually decreases under the influence of the low kinetic energy fluid in the *** is an obvious oscillation in the tail of the jet,while the flow field is asymmetric in *** jet is closer to the inside radius side due to the Coanda effect,and there is a recirculation zone on the inside radius and the outside radius respectively,according to the 10 s time-averaged *** with the industrial observation and simulation results,the shape of the free surface is a wave that varies with *** addition,the free surface height is lowest and the flow velocity is highest in the region near the jet.
