Li4Ti50i2 (LTO) has attracted considerable attention in lithium-ion battery (LIB) applications because of its favorable characteristics as an anode material. Despite its promise, the widespread use of LTO is still limited primarily due to its intrinsically poor electric and ionic con ductivities and high surface reactivity. To address these issues, we desig ned polyg onal nano architectures composed of various Li-Ti oxide crystal polymorphs by a facile synthesis route. Depending on the pH condition, this synthesis approach yields multi-polymorphed Li-Ti oxides where the interior is dominantly composed of a Li-rich phase and the exterior is a Li-deficient (or Li-free) phase. As one of these variations, a polygonal LTO-rutile TiO2 structure is formed. The rutile TiO2 on the surface of this LTO composite significantly improves the kinetics of Li^+ insertion/extraction because the channel along the o-axis in TQ2 provides a Li^+ highway due to the significantly low energy barrier for Li^+ diffusion. Moreover, the presenee of rutile TiO2, which is less reactive with a carbonate-based electrolyte, ensures Iong-term stability by suppress)ng the undesirable interfacial reaction on LTO.

Neural/glial antigen 2(ng2)-expressing cells has multipotent stem cell activity under cerebral *** study examined the effects of electroacupuncture(EA)therapy(2 Hz,1 or 3 mA,20 minutes)at the Sishencong acupoint on motor function after ischemic insult in the brain by investigating the rehabilitative potential of ng2-derived cells in a mouse model of ischemic *** stimulation alleviated motor deficits caused by ischemic stroke,and 1 mA EA stimulation was more efficacious than 3 mA EA stimulation or positive control treatment with edaravone,a free radical *** properties of ng2-expressing cells were altered with 1 mA EA stimulation,enhancing their survival in perilesional brain tissue via reduction of tumor necrosis factor alpha *** stimulation robustly activated signaling pathways related to proliferation and survival of ng2-expressing cells and increased the expression of neurotrophic factors such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor,tumor growth factor beta,and neurotrophin *** the perilesional striatum,EA stimulation greatly increased the number of ng2-expressing cells double-positive for oligodendrocyte,endothelial cell,and microglia/macrophage markers(CC1,CD31,and CD68).EA therapy also greatly activated brain-derived neurotrophic factor/tropomyosin receptor kinase B and glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta *** results indicate that EA therapy may prevent functional loss at the perilesional site by enhancing survival and differentiation of ng2-expressing cells via the activation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor-induced signaling,subsequently ameliorating motor *** animal experiments were approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Pusan National University(approval ***2019-2199 and PNU2019-2884)on April 8,2019 and June 19,2019.

AIM To evaluate the efficacy of quantitative fecal immunochemical test(FIT) as biomarker of disease activity in ulcerative colitis(UC).METHODS Between February 2013 and November 2014, a total of 82 FIT results, obtained in conjunction with colonoscopies, were retrospectivelyevaluated for 63 patients with UC. The efficacy of FIT for evaluation of disease activity was compared to colonoscopic findings. Quantitative fecal blood with automated equipment examined from collected feces. Endoscopic disease severity were assessed using the Mayo endoscopic subscore(MES) classification. The extent of disease were classified by proctitis(E1), left sided colitis(E2), and extensive colitis(E3). Clinical activity were subgrouped by remission or *** All of 21 patients with MES 0 had negative FIT(ng/mL), but 22 patients with MES 2 or 3 had a mean FIT of > 134.89 ng/m L. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value(PPV), negative predictive value(NPV) and accuracy of negative FIT about mucosal healing were 73.33%, 81.82%, 91.49%, 51.43% and 73.17%, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV and accuracy of predictive value of positive FIT(cutoff value > 100 ng/mL) about active disease status were 45.45%, 93.33%, 71.43%, 82.35%and 26.83%, respectively. Among patients with clinical remission, FIT was negative in 31(81.6%) of 38 cases, with a mean fecal hemoglobin concentration of 6.12 ng/mL(range, negative to 80.9 ng/mL) for this group of patients. Among patients with clinical active disease, FIT was negative in 16(36.4%) out of 44 cases, with a mean fecal hemoglobin concentration > 167.4 ng/mL for this group of patients. FIT was positively correlated with endoscopic activity(r = 0.626, P < 0.01) and clinical activity(r = 0.496, P < 0.01). Previous studies have demonstrated that male hypogonadism is associated with a low level of vitamin D. However, no reports have investigated the effects of vitamin D on testosterone levels in Korean men. Our aim was to investigate whether testosterone levels are associated with serum vitamin D levels and whether seasonal variation exists. This cross-sectional study analyzed serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25（OH）D], total testosterone （TT）, and free testosterone （FT） in 652 Korean men over 40 years of age who had undergone a comprehensive medical examination. The average age of the subjects was 56.7± 7.9 years, and the mean serum 25（OH）D, TT and FT levels were 21.23 ± 7.9 ng m1-1, 4.70 ±1.6 ng m1-1, and 8.12± 3.3 pg m1-1, respectively. In the multiple linear regression model, 25（OH）D showed positive association with TT （β =0.137, P〈 0.001） and FT （p =0.103, P= 0.008）. 25（OH） D and FT showed similar seasonal or monthly variation after adjustment for age. A vitamin D deficiency [25（OH）D 〈 20 ng m1-1] was associated with an increased risk of deficiencies of TT （〈2.30 ng ml-1）（odds ratio [OR]： 2.65; 95% confidence interval [CI]. 1.21-5.78, P = 0.014） and FT （〈6.50 pg ml-1）（OR： 1.44; 95% Ch 1.01-2.06 P = 0.048） after adjusting for age, season, body mass index, body composition, chronic disease, smoking, and alcohol use. In conclusion, we demonstrated a positive correlation between 25（OH）D and testosterone, which showed similar seasonal variation in Korean men.

目的　了解广西肝癌高发区儿童氧化性DNA损伤情况。方法　采用高效液相色谱电化学方法检测广西扶绥县肝癌户儿童 2 1例及对照南宁市儿童 6 3例尿液 8 羟基脱氧鸟苷 ( 8 OH dG)水平。结果　扶缓南宁两地儿童间尿 8 OH dG水平无显著性差异 (P =0 .98)。本组 8 OH dG[( 5 2 6± 0 4 1 )ng/mg肌酐 ,n =84 ],高于同类研究的检测值 [( 4 6 2± 0 0 91 )ng/mg肌酐 ,n =32 ];并与年龄 (r =- 0 .4 5,P <0 0 0 1 )、体质指数 (r =- 0 .2 7,P =0 .0 1 )显著负相关。多元分析提示年幼者(P =0 .0 0 0 1 )和体瘦者 (P =0 .0 3) 8 OH dG水平高 ,并且 8 OH dG与ALT的偏相关性检验 ,P =0 .0 71为临界值。结论　这是基于肝癌高发区高危人群的尿 8 OH dG分析的首次报道 ;提示引起该人群 8 OH dG升高的因素较为复杂 ;并且对青少年还应考虑生长发育因素的影响。
