Plant type effect overweighs seasonal variation in n-alkanoic acid biomarker on regional Loess Plateau of China

The effect of plant type on n-alkane biomarker has been widely studied,but the influence of plant type on n-alkanoic acids(n-FAs)has received less *** the effect of the distribution of n-FAs and their hydrogen isotope composition(δ^(2)H_(FA))is critical for interpreting sedimentaryδ^(2)H_(FA)values as proxies of hydroclimate and/or vegetation *** this study,we systematically investigated the distribution ofn-FAs andδ^(2)H_(FA)values across seasons on the Chinese Loess Plateau(CLP).Our results showed that there were no significant seasonal differences in n-FAs distribution andδ^(2)H_(FA)values,but there were significant differences inδ^(2)H_(FA)values across plant ***δ^(2)H_(FA)values ranged from-185‰to-125‰in dicots(-161‰±28‰),and from-215‰to-170‰in monocots(-196‰±22‰)on the *** fractionation betweenδ^(2)H_(FA)values and precipitationδ^(2)H(ε_(FA-P))was also^(2)H-enriched in dicots relative to *** the regional scale of the CLP,δ^(2)H_(FA)values were not correlated withδ^(2)H values of ***,δ^(2)H_(FA)values from the CLP were similar to expectations from a global comparison,both in terms of their mean values and high variability among plants growing in sites with similarδ^(2)H values of *** some of this variability inεFA-Pis due to the effect of plant type,a careful assessment of the likely sources of waxes in terrestrial sediments is critical when usingδ^(2)H_(FA)values for paleohydroclimate reconstruction.

基于全球地质记录的比对,国际人类世工作组建议20世纪中期(约1950年)为人类世的起始时间,四海龙湾沉积物曾被列为“人类世界线层型剖面”的候选地质体之一。但在1950年以前,人类已较深刻地影响了四海龙湾周围地区的环境。通过重建四海龙湾沉积物900年以来的总有机碳、总有机碳和总氮的摩尔比(C/N)、稳定有机碳同位素(δ^(13)C_(org))和Ca/Ti,以及硅酸盐矿物主要元素Si、Al和K含量的历史序列,平均分辨率约为10年,以气候变化为背景,来探究该地区人类活动的历史。发现人类活动从1850年开始显著增强,在此之前的中世纪暖期和小冰期指标变化大体符合自然规律。1850—1950年指标的变化反映出快速增长的人口破坏了植被,导致风化加剧,地表环境的演变脱离了自然轨道,表明人类活动开始成为一种重要的地质营力,但这段时期的变化只是局地信号;1950年后,C/N持续减小及δ^(13)C_(org)持续负移,反映出在新的社会制度和先进生产力的条件下,四海龙湾周围地区的环境状态再次发生改变,这与全球地质环境的加速变化同步,可以支持国际人类世工作组所提出的“20世纪中期是人类世的起始时间”。

Compound-specific δD and its hydrological and environmental implication in the lakes on the Tibetan Plateau

The hydrogen isotopic composition(δD) of n-alkanes in lacustrine sediments is widely used in palaeoenvironmental studies, but the heterogeneous origins and relative contributions of these lipids provide challenges for the interpretation of the increasing dataset as an environment and climatic proxy. We systematically investigated n-alkane δD values from 51 submerged plants(39 Potamogeton, 1 Myriophyllum, and 11 Ruppia), 13 algae(5 Chara, 3 Cladophora, and 5 Spirogyra) and 20 terrestrial plants(10 grasses and 10 shrubs) in and around 15 lakes on the Tibetan Plateau. Our results demonstrate that δD values of C_(29) nalkane are correlated significantly with the lake water δD values both for algae(R^2=0.85, p0.05), suggesting that the n-alkane δD values of the algae and submerged plants record the signal of D enrichment in lake water relative to precipitation only in closed lakes in arid and semi-arid area. For each algae and submerged plant sample, we find uniformed δD values of different chain length n-alkanes, implying that, in combination with other proxies such as Paq and Average Chain Length, the offset between the δD values of different chain length n-alkanes can help

Early Miocene Paleoaltitude of the Tuotuohe Basin,Central-Northern Tibetan Plateau and its Tectonic Implications

Reconstruction of the paleoaltitude history of the Tibetan Plateau is critical for understanding the linkage between tectonics and its effect on regional and global climate ***,most of the paleoaltitude studies are concentrated on the southern and southeastern part of the Tibetan Plateau,and few studies have been conducted in the central-northern *** this paper we focused on the Wudaoliang Formation in the Tuotuohe Basin,central to northern Tibetan Plateau,to reconstruct paleoaltitude based on carbonate oxygen *** carbonate samples are primary or have experienced an early stage of *** on the thermodynamic and empirical model results,the paleoaltitude of the Wudaoliang Formation is found to be around 2700–3260 m(average of 2980±280 m)in the early Miocene(~24 Ma).Integrating paleoaltitude results from Wudaoliang Basin and our results,we conclude that crustal shortening and tectonic activity were strong during the late Eocene to late Oligocene-early Miocene and relatively weak during the early Miocene in the central-northern Tibetan Plateau.

The relationship between the carbon isotopic composition of paleosols and paleovegetation on the Loess Plateau is still unclear. One of the main reasons is that we are short of knowledge about the characteristics of the carbon isotopic composition of modern soil in this area. A preliminary investigation of the carbon isotopic compositions of the modern soil and the loess/paleosol sequence on the Loess Plateau shows that the carbon isotopic composition of modern soil is consistent with the distribution of modern plants on the Loess Plateau, where the ecosystem is dominated by a mixture of C4 and C3 plants. Comparing theδ13C values of modern soil and loess-paleosol sequences from the Xunyi profile, we conclude that C3 plants dominated the landscape during loess sediment stages, while C4 plants expanded during paleosol stages.

有机碳稳定同位素的高精度测定是利用地质样品有机碳同位素研究气候和植被变化等的基础。通过实验发现低有机碳含量样品同位素测定误差相对较大,其中样品收集过程是主要的影响因素之一。本文针对这个问题,主要从杂质气体干扰入手,在一步冷冻分离CO_2和H_2O,或分步冷冻分离CO2和H2O的收集方法,以及改变收样管体积三方面进行条件实验研究,讨论了封管法制备有机碳稳定同位素样品气体收集过程对有机碳稳定同位素组成的影响。结果表明:(1)CO_2气体的纯化收集是封管法制备有机碳稳定同位素样品的一个重要步骤,收集时杂质气体含量越高,对样品有机碳稳定同位素组成的影响越大;(2)在相同的杂质气体背景条件下,与一步冷冻分离CO_2和H_2O的方法相比,分步冷冻CO2和H2O的方法能够显著减小杂质气体对有机碳稳定同位素测定的影响;(3)小体积收样管能够显著提高有机碳稳定同位素样品的离子流强度,进而提高低有机碳含量样品的稳定碳同位素测定精度。

分析了国际标准GCuAl10Fe5Ni5合金铸件的结构特点及工艺性能,结合熔模精密铸造浇注系统的设计原则,进行了熔模铸件浇注系统的工艺设计,给出了含有蛇形浇道底注式的工艺设计方案。通过控制制壳及合金熔炼工艺过程,对工艺方案进行了工艺实践,并对其间出现的铸件缺陷进行了原因分析,提出了改进措施并加以实施,使铸造工艺方案得到了进一步完善,所生产铸件合格率大幅提高。

针对水驱油藏降黏驱过程中储层原油动用规律不清晰的问题,采用多功能岩心实验装置和CT扫描仪,进行了层间渗透率差异储层的剩余油水驱转降黏驱的物理模拟实验。结果表明:层间渗透率差异储层采收率随渗透率的提高而提高,渗透率的提高更有利于高渗储层动用率的提高。层间渗透率差异储层模型均主要动用高渗透层原油,高渗透层原油动用率较高。渗透率差小的层间渗透率差异模型,上下层采出率差距较小;随渗透率差的增大,上下层采出率差距增大。研究结果可为水驱稠油油藏降黏驱剩余油的挖潜和采收率标定提供借鉴。
