Noise-Tolerant ZNN-Based Data-Driven Iterative Learning Control for Discrete Nonaffine Nonlinear MIMO Repetitive Systems

Aiming at the tracking problem of a class of discrete nonaffine nonlinear multi-input multi-output(MIMO) repetitive systems subjected to separable and nonseparable disturbances, a novel data-driven iterative learning control(ILC) scheme based on the zeroing neural networks(ZNNs) is proposed. First, the equivalent dynamic linearization data model is obtained by means of dynamic linearization technology, which exists theoretically in the iteration domain. Then, the iterative extended state observer(IESO) is developed to estimate the disturbance and the coupling between systems, and the decoupled dynamic linearization model is obtained for the purpose of controller synthesis. To solve the zero-seeking tracking problem with inherent tolerance of noise,an ILC based on noise-tolerant modified ZNN is proposed. The strict assumptions imposed on the initialization conditions of each iteration in the existing ILC methods can be absolutely removed with our method. In addition, theoretical analysis indicates that the modified ZNN can converge to the exact solution of the zero-seeking tracking problem. Finally, a generalized example and an application-oriented example are presented to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed process.

Challenges and developments of automotive fuel cell hybrid power system and control

Fuel cells are emerging as promising power sources and have attracted increasing attention from industries and academics worldwide. In particular, automotive manufacturers are replacing internal combustion engines in vehicles with fuel cell systems, which are advantaged by zero emissions, high efficiency,and various clean routes that generate pure hydrogen. However, current fuel cell systems are costly, and their corresponding infrastructures are not fully qualified to meet current market demand. This paper reviews the challenges and developments of automotive fuel cell hybrid power systems and their controls. It briefly summarizes the model, control, and optimization issue associated with the research and application of fuel cells in hybrid power systems. After presenting the basic knowledge and discussing the trending size and structure of fuel cells for automotive usage, the review describes models of automotive fuel cell systems,focusing on the electrochemical reaction dynamics and the key parameters influencing their efficiency and lifetime. The control problems associated with automotive fuel cell systems as well as the optimization issue associated with hybrid energy systems(comprising fuel cells, batteries, and ultra-capacitors) are elaborately analyzed. The review concludes with current problems and challenges faced by the energy control systems of fuel cell vehicles.

An ammonia coverage ratio observing and trackingcontroller: stability analysis and simulation evaluation

In urea selective catalytic reduction(urea-SCR) systems, the ammonia coverage ratio is an important parameter for satisfying emission regulations. However, this parameter cannot be directly measured by onboard sensors. Most of observers and tracking controllers for the ammonia coverage ratio in the existing literature were designed separately and lacked an overall robustness analysis. In this paper, an observing and tracking controller(AOTC), along with its overall design and stability analysis, is proposed under inputto-state stability(ISS) theory. The proposed AOTC strategy consists of a sliding mode observer based on NHconcentration dynamics and a tracking controller based on the observer dynamics. The stability is discussed considering the uncertainties about the conversion of urea to NHand the cross-sensitivity of the NOsensor, and the principle for adjusting the control parameters is provided. A few transient simulations are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed AOTC strategy.

Generation of a scenario library for testing driver-automation cooperation safety under cut-in working conditions

To improve the efficiency of safety tests of driver-automation cooperation,a method for generating a scenario library is proposed that considers the probability of scenario occurrence and driver-handling challenges in real driving situations.First,the original scenario data under cut-in conditions stored in a time series are extracted from the scenario data set.Then,a mathematical performance index is used to model the scenario and a significance function in terms of the occurrence frequency of the scenario,and the performance challenge between the driver and the vehicle is established.Next,the important scenario set is extracted from the original scenario set by constructing and optimizing a significance auxiliary function.Finally,the extracted important scenario sets are filtered by using the significance function values of the scenarios to generate a scenario library.Simulation results show that the proposed method for scenario library generation can effectively identify scenarios with potential adventure during driver-automation cooperation and thus accelerate safety tests compared with traditional methods.

Carbon-based microassemblies(CMs) have attracted significant attention in numerous applications due to their unique hierarchical structures and delicate building blocks,especially when hollow carbon spheres(HCSs) are reasonably introduced into the construction.Herein,a new design for novel HCSscombined CMs is proposed.Remarkably,the HCSs are linear carbon bubbles linked one-by-one, arranging into necklaces decorating on the graphene microfolds.Detailed thermal analysis confirm that high temperatures straighten the linked carbon bubbles into bamboo-like carbon nanofibers,evidently due to the attenuation of doping degree.Benefiting from the abundant active sites of carbon bubbles,the obtained CMs exhibit satisfactory electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction reactions.This work establishes a bridge to precisely control the synthesis of carbon-based hierarchical architectures.

以不同季铵碱处理后的HY分子筛为载体,通过熔融法制备了Co/HY-X系列催化剂,并用于费-托合成反应,考察不同季铵碱处理对Co/HY催化剂性能的影响。采用N_(2)吸附-脱附、X射线衍射、傅里叶变换红外光谱和氨程序升温脱附等手段对催化剂进行表征,并在高压固定床反应器上对催化剂的费-托合成催化性能进行测试。结果表明,与未经过季铵碱处理的Co/HY相比,在季铵碱处理的Co基催化剂作用下的CO转化率都有所提高,其中经过四甲基氢氧化铵处理的Co/HY催化剂性能最好,CO转化率提高了约30百分点。
