Assessment Model for Distributed Wind Generation Hosting Capacity Considering Complex Spatial Correlations

To facilitate the large-scale integration of distributed wind generation(DWG), the uncertainty of DWG outputs needs to be quantified, and the maximum DWG hosting capacity(DWGHC) of distribution systems must be assessed. However, the structure of the high-dimensional nonlinear dependencies and the abnormal marginal distributions observed in geographically dispersed DWG outputs lead to the increase of the complexity of the uncertainty analysis. To address this issue,this paper proposes a novel assessment model for DWGHC that considers the spatial correlations between distributed generation(DG) outputs. In our method, an advanced dependence modeling approach called vine copula is applied to capture the high-dimensional correlation between geographically dispersed DWG outputs and generate a sufficient number of correlated scenarios. To avoid an overly conservative hosting capacity in some extreme scenarios, a novel chance-constrained assessment model for DWGHC is developed to determine the optimal sizes and locations of DWG for a given DWG curtailment probability. To handle the computational challenges associated with large-scale scenarios, a bilinear variant of Benders decomposition(BD) is employed to solve the chance-constrained *** effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using a typical 38-bus distribution system in eastern China.

Potential Assessment of Spatial Correlation to Improve Maximum Distributed PV Hosting Capacity of Distribution Networks

Successful distributed photovoltaic (PV) planning now requires a hosting capacity assessment process that accounts for an appropriate model of PV output and its uncertainty. This paper explores how the PV hosting capacity of distribution networks can be increased by means of spatial correlation among distributed PV outputs. To achieve this, a novel PV hosting capacity assessment method is proposed to account for arbitrary geographically dispersed distributed PVs. In this method, the empirical relation between the spatial correlation coefficient and distance is fitted by historical data in one place and then applied to model the joint probability distribution of PV outputs at a neighboring location. To derive the PV hosting capacity at candidate locations, a stochastic PV hosting capacity assessment model that aims to maximize the PV hosting capacity under thermal and voltage constraints is proposed. Benders decomposition algorithm is also employed to reduce the computational cost associated with the numerous sampling scenarios. Finally, a rural 59-bus distribution network in Suzhou, China, is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed PV hosting capacity assessment methodology and the significant benefits obtained by increasing geographical distance.

Effect of pinaverium bromide on stress-induced colonic smooth muscle contractility disorder in rats

AIM: To investigate the effect of pinaverium bromide, a Ltype calcium channel blocker with selectivity for the gastrointestinal tract on contractile activity of colonic circular smooth muscle in normal or cold-restraint stressed rats and its possible ***: Cold-restraint stress was conducted on rats to increase fecal pellets output. Each isolated colonic circular muscle strip was suspended in a tissue chamber containing warm oxygenated Tyrode-Ringer solution. The contractile response to ACh or KCl was measured isometrically on inkwriting recorder. Incubated muscle in different concentrations of pinaverium and the effects of pinaverium were investigated on ACh or KCl-induced contraction. Colon smooth muscle cells were cultured from rats and [Ca2+]i was measured in cell suspension using the Ca2+ fluorescent dye fura-2/***: During stress, rats fecal pellet output increased 61% (P＜0.01). Stimulated with ACh or KCl, the muscle contractility was higher in stress than that in control. Pinaverium inhibited the increment of [Ca2+]i and the muscle contraction in response to ACh or KCl in a dose dependent manner. A significant inhibition of pinaverium to ACh or KCl induced [Ca2+]i increment was observed at 10-6 mol/L. The IC50 values for inhibition of ACh induced contraction for the stress and control group were 1.66×10-6 mol/L and 0.91×10-6mol/L, respectively. The ICs0 values for inhibition of KCl induced contraction for the stress and control group were 8.13×10-7 mol/L and 3.80×10-7 mol/L, ***: Increase in [Ca2+]i of smooth muscle cells is directly related to the generation of contraction force in colon. L-type Ca2+ channels represent the main route of Ca2+ *** inhibits the calcium influx through L-type channels;decreases the contractile response to many kinds of agonists and regulates the stress-induced colon hypermotility.

OBJECTIVE Doxorubicin-based therapy has been found to be not significantly effective for the treatment of advanced stage hepatocellular carcinomas(HCCs),which often undergo epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)during tumor *** evidence suggest(s)that epithelial cell transformation to mesenchymal state canenhance the ability to self-renew and confer greater resistance to the conventional chemotherapeutic *** aim of this study was to examine the potential efficacyof ascochlorin,an isoprenoid antibiotic to overcome drug resistance induced by doxorubicin in HCC cell lines and to elucidate its underlying mechanism(s)of *** The effect of doxorubicin and ascochlorin on HCC cell lines was determined by MTT,Western blotting,immunofluorescence and NF-кB DNA binding *** Our results indicate that HCC cells that show a mesenchymal-like phenotype,are resistance to the doxorubicin therapy which directly correlated with an increased slug *** also observed that activation of NF-кB pathway plays an essential role in doxorubicin induced-chemoresistance and pharmacological inhibition of this pathway with ascochlorin can significantly reverse drug-induced invasion/migration and resistance in HCC *** Our results indicate that combination treatment of doxorubicin with ascochlorin has the potential to inhibit HCC growth and metastasis.
