This paper presents the performance evaluation of a regenerative pump to increase its efficiency using optimal design method. Two design parameters which define the shape of the pump impeller, are introduced and analyzed. Pump performance is evaluated by numerical simulation and design of experiments(DOE). To analyze three-dimensional flow field in the pump, general analysis code, CFX, is used in the present work. Shear stress turbulence model is employed to estimate the eddy viscosity. Experimental apparatus with an open-loop facility is set up for measuring the pump performance. Pump performance, efficiency and pressure, obtained from numerical simulation are validated by comparison with the results of experiments. Throughout the shape optimization of the pump impeller at the operating flow condition, the pump efficiency is successfully increased by 3 percent compared to the reference pump. It is noted that the pressure increase of the optimum pump is mainly caused by higher momentum force generated inside blade passage due to the optimal blade shape. Comparisons of pump internal flow on the reference and optimum pump are also investigated and discussed in detail.

This work aims to implement expert and collaborative group recommendation services through an analysis of expertise and network relations NTIS. First of all, expertise database has been constructed by extracting keywords after indexing national R＆D information in Korea （human resources, project and outcome） and applying expertise calculation algorithm. In consideration of the characteristics of national R＆D information, weight values have been selected. Then, expertise points were calculated by applying weighted values. In addition, joint research and collaborative relations were implemented in a knowledge map format through network analysis using national R＆D information.

Although friction characteristics of fault gouge are important to understand reactivation of fault,behavior of earthquake,and mechanism of slope failure,analysis results of fault gouge have low accuracy mostly than those of soils or rocks due to its high heterogeneity and low ***,to improve the accuracy of analysis results,we conducted simple regression analysis and structural equation model analysis and selected major influential factors of friction characteristics among many factors,and then we deduced advanced regression model with the highest coefficient of determination(R^(2)) via multiple regression *** most coefficients of determination in simple regression analysis are below0.3-0.4,coefficient of determination in multiple regression analysis is remarkably large as 0.657.

The aim of this study was to design and evaluate extended-release formulations of a model drug,nicorandil,in order to achieve the desired steady-state plasma concentration of drug in *** was employed to estimate optimum dissolution and absorption rate of *** dissolution test was employed using pH 1.2,4.0,6.8 buffer solution,or water,to measure the in vitro release behaviors of nicorandil formulations.A single dose(15 mg)of each formulation was orally administered to four beagle dogs under fasted conditions,and the pharmacokinetic parameters were *** in vitro/in vivo relationship of the extended-release formulation was confirmed using in vitro dissolution profiles and plasma concentrations of drug in beagle *** was released completely within 30 min from the immediate-release tablets and released for 24 h from the extended-release *** nicorandil plasma concentration could be modified by adjusting the drug release rate from the extended-release *** release rate of nicorandil was the rate-limiting step in the overall absorption of drug from the extendedrelease *** results highlight the potential of a nicorandil extended-release formulation in the treatment of angina pectoris.
