Multiple space from the interior of metal-organic polyhedra(MOPs),the exterior among MOPs,and the inherent nature of big organic molecules makes MOPs as promising platform with hierarchical porous structures,especially when well-elucidated reticular chemistry principles were *** we describe the preparation of a series of isoreticular octahedral MOPs featuring Zn4-p-tert-butylsulfonylcalix[4]arene clusters by the metal-directed assembly of three rigid organic ligands with different *** hydrogen-bonds and hydrophobic interactions between sulfonylcalix[4]arene groups direct the stacking of discrete MOPs into a novel permanent hierarchical porous *** importantly,the optimal MOP 1-Zn exhibits high adsorption capacity of Xe and excellent Xe/Kr(20/80,v/v)separation performance,as demonstrated by adsorption isotherms,breakthrough experiments,and density functional theory ***,grand canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC)and dispersion-corrected density functional theory(DFT-D)theoretical calculations provide molecular-level insight over the adsorption/separation mechanism.

Objective： Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 （PAI-1）, one crucial component of the plasminogen activator system, is a major player in the pathogenesis of many vascular diseases as well as in cancer. High levels of PAI-1 in breast cancer tissue are associated with poor prognosis. The aim of this study is to evaluate rigorously the potential of serum PAI-1 concentration functioning as a general screening test in diagnostic or prognostic assays. Methods： A protein-microarray-based sandwich fluorescence immunoassay （FIA） was developed to detect PAI-1 in serum. Several conditions of this microarray-based FIA were optimized to establish an efficacious method. Serum specimens of 84 healthy women and 285 women with breast cancer were analyzed using the optimized FIA microarray. Results： The median serum PAI-1 level of breast cancer patients was higher than that of healthy women （109.7 ng/ml vs. 63.4 ng/ml）. Analysis of covariance revealed that PAI-1 levels of the two groups were significantly different （P0.001） when controlling for an age effect on PAI-1 levels. However, PAI-1 values in TNM stage I？IV patients respectively were not significantly different from each other. Conclusion： This microarray-based sandwich FIA holds potential for quantitative analysis of tumor markers such as PAI-1.

Objective： Lysosome associated protein transmembrane 4 beta （LAPTM4B） was originally identified as a gene in human hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）. It was successfully cloned by fluorescence differential display, rapid amplification of cDNA ends （RACE） and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR）. Previous study showed that the novel gene played an important role in the occurrence, development, migration and prognosis of tumors. Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive malignancy with the majority of patients dying within one year after diagnosis. This study tries to find out the relationship between lysosome associated protein transmembrane 4 beta gene polymorphism and the susceptibility of pancreatic cancer. Methods： A case-control study was conducted in China, including 58 pancreatic cancer cases and 156 healthy controls. Human genomic DNA was used as the template, polymerase chain reaction （PCR） was used to detect the distribution of LAPTM4B genotype. Analyses Odds ratio （OR） and corresponding 95% confidence interval （95%CI） with logistic regression were performed. Results： Two alleles of LAPTM4B generated three kinds of genotypes in population, ＊1/1, ＊1/2, and ＊2/2. The genotype frequency of ＊1/1, ＊1/2 and ＊2/2 in the pancreatic cancer group were 41.4%, 44.8% and 13.8% respectively, which were not significantly different from those of healthy group （47.4%, 42.9%, 9.6%）（P=0.773, P=0.291）. Also the ＊2 allele frequency of LAPTM4B among pancreatic cancer had no significantly difference with the controls （P=0.354）. When compared to the ＊1 allele, the people with ＊2 allele had no increased risk of pancreatic cancer. Conclusion： The gene polymorphism of LAPTM4B may not influence the susceptibility of pancreatic cancer.

Effect of the vortical structures on the hydrodynamic performance of a pitching hydrofoil

The objective is to study the vortical structural behaviors of a transient pitching hydrofoil and their effects on the hydrodynamic performance. The pitching motion of the hydrofoil is set to pitch up with an almost constant rate from 5° to 15° and then back to 5°, with the Reynolds number 4.4×10^(5) and the frequency 2 Hz. The results show that the main coherent structures around the pitching hydrofoil include small-scale laminar separation bubble (LSB), large-scale second vortex (SV) and trailing edge vortex (TEV) which are all vortical. The relationship between the vortical structure and the lift is investigated with the finite-domain impulse theory. It indicates that the major part of the lift is contributed by the LSB, whereas the shedding and the formation of the SV and TEV cause the fluctuation of the lift. The proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) method is applied to capture the most energetic modes, revealing that the LSB mode occupies a large amount of energy in the flow field. The dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) method accurately extracts the dominant frequency and modal characteristics, with the first mode corresponding to the mean flow, the second mode corresponding to the LSB structure and the third and fourth modes corresponding to the vortex shedding.

Direct methanol fuel cell technology recently becomes the focus of both academic and engineering circles,which stimulates the exploitation and utilization of advanced electrode catalysts with high activity and long ***,we demonstrate a robust bottom-up approach to the spatial construction of three-dimensional(3D) spinel manganese-cobalt oxide-modified N-doped graphene nanoarchitectures decorated with ultrasmall Pt nanoparticles(Pt/MnCo_(2)O_(4)-NG) via a controllable selfassembly *** incorporation of MnCo_(2)O_(4)nanocrystals provides abundant hydroxyl sources to promote the oxidative removal of CO-like byproducts on Pt sites,while the existence of 3D porous N-doped graphene networks facilitates the transportation of both ions and electrons in the hybrid system,thus giving rise to remarkable synergetic coupling effects during the methanol oxidation ***,the optimized Pt/MnCo_(2)O_(4)-NG nano architecture expres ses exceptional electrocatalytic properties with a large electrochemically active surface area of 99.5 m^(2)·g^(-1),a high mass activity of1508.3 mA·mg^(-1),strong toxicity resistance and reliable long-term durability,which have obvious competitive advantages over those of conventional Pt/carbon black,Pt/carbon nano tube,Pt/graphene,and Pt/N-doped graphene catalysts with the same Pt usage.
