The hybrid atomistic structure-based model has been validated to be effective in investigation of G-quadruplex *** this study,we performed large-scale conventional all-atom simulations to complement the folding mechanism of human telomeric sequence Htel24 revealed by a multi-basin hybrid atomistic structure-based ***,the real time-scale of folding rate,which cannot be obtained from the structure-based simulations,was estimated directly by constructing a Markov state *** results show that Htel24 may fold as fast as on the order of milliseconds when only considering the competition between the hybrid-1 and hybrid-2 G-quadruplex ***,in comparison with the results of structure-based simulations,more metastable states were identified to participate in the formation of hybrid-1 and hybrid-2 *** findings suggest that coupling the hybrid atomistic structure-based model and the conventional all-atom model can provide more insights into the folding dynamics of DNA *** a result,the multiscale computational framework adopted in this study may be useful to study complex processes of biomolecules involving large conformational changes.

The recovery of iron and enrichment of rare earths from Bayan Obo railings were investigated using Coal Ca（OH） 2 NaOH roasting followed by magnetic separation. The influences of roasting temperature, roasting time, coal content, milling time, Ca（OH）2 dosage and NaOH dosage on the iron and rare earths recovery were explored. The results showed that the magnetic concentrate containing 70.01 wt. % Fe with the iron recovery of 94.34G and the tailings of magnetic separation containing 11.46 wt. % rare earth oxides （REO） with the REO recovery of 98. 19% were obtained under the optimum conditions （i. e. , roasting temperature of 650℃, roasting time of 60 min, coal content of 2.0%, milling time of 5 min, and NaOH dosage of 2.0%）. The Ca（OH）2 dosage had no effect on the separation of iron and rare earths. According to the mineralogical and morphologic analysis, the iron and rare earths of Bayan Obo tailings could be utilized in subsequent ironmaking process and hydrometallurgy process.

The coupling effect of the flexible joint and the flexible link on the dynamic singularity of the flexible manipulator is addressed. Firstly, the dynamic equations of a flexible manipulator with a flexible joint and a flexible link are derived. Secondly, the relationship and property between the flexible joint and the flexible link are analyzed. It shows that the flexible joint＇s amplitude will increase abruptly, thereby the dynamic singularity occurs if the frequency of a flexible joint is near or equal to some natural frequency of a flexible link. Finally, some numerical simulations which will verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis, are carded out. The results are fundamental for the design of a flexible manipulator and for the avoidance of the dynamic singularity.

Although flexible manipulators own many potential advantages, one of their major disadvantages is the deterioration of the end-effector accuracy due to the flexibility. Therefore, how to reduce vibration is a significant problem. Inspired by the observation on the motion behaviors of animals, a new idea of decreasing motion deflection of the flexible manipulator is suggested. The concept of controllable local degrees of freedom is proposed and analyzed. By way of optimizing local motion provided by the controllable local degrees of freedom, the end-effector deflection of the flexible manipulator can be effectively decreased through dynamic coupling. The corresponding optimal method for vibration control of the flexible manipulator is put forward. The kinematic simulation is carried ant on a three-link flexible manipulator The corresponding results verify the feasibility of this method.

It is of great importance to investigate an effective and reliable medication against chronic renal failure (CRF)-related erectile dysfunction (ED),which aims to improve patients' life *** concentrations of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the corpus cavernosal smooth muscle of both CRF and control rabbits were *** effects of various concentrations of tadalafil,papaverine,and sodium nitroprusside on the relaxation responses of corpus cavernosal smooth muscle pre-contracted with phenylephrine in CRF rabbits were *** was significant difference in the concentration of cGMP between CRF and control rabbits (P<0.01).Tadalafil had the greatest impacts on CRF rabbits when given the same concentration of papaverine or sodium nitroprusside and particularly significant differences were identified under the concentration levels of 10-5 and 10-4 mol/L (P<0.01).The results suggest that the cGMP concentrations of the corpus cavernosum had been greatly reduced in CRF rabbits compared with control rabbits and that tadalafil may be an ideal medication for use in the treatment of CRF-related ED.

Local structures of the mechanically alloyed Fe_(77-x)Ni_(x)Cu_(1)Nb_(2)P_(14)B_(6)soft magnetic materials have been in vestigated by x-ray absorption fine *** results show that mechanical alloying(MA)can drive theFe_(77-x)Ni_(x)Cu_(1)Nb_(2)P_(14)B_(6)powder mixture to produce amorphous alloy when the atomic concentration of Fe ele ment is about and over 40%.On the contrary,the MA Fe_(77-x)Ni_(x)Cu_(1)Nb_(2)P_(14)B_(6)is a solid solution with an fcc-like structure in the region of lower Fe atomic concentration(<22%),preserving a medium-range order around Ni and Fe ***,we have found that the local structure geometry of Fe atom is similar to that of Ni atom for all the MA Fer7-xNixCu1 Nb2P14B6 *** indicates that the local structures of Fe and Ni atoms in a Fe_(77-x)Ni_(x)Cu_(1)Nb_(2)P_(14)B_(6)sample only depend on the x value of element Ni after ball milling.

Numerous experimental life-history studies on aging are mainly baised on two classical models—fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster(Meigen)and nematode Caenorhab-ditis elegans(Maupas)—with relatively little attention given to other organisms with different life-history ***-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae Koch(Acari:Tetranychidae)differs from many other arthropods in that the females continue their growth in the early adult stage and can reproduce sexually and *** this study,the influences of dietary restriction and delayed mating on the aging patterns of the spider mite were examined with the prevailing survival and reproduction trade-off hypothesis of aging being *** sex-specific responses of the spider mites were *** females showed longevity extension on diet restriction(fasting for 2 days in every 4 days)compared with their counterparts being fed ad libitum,and after delayed mating for 9 days,while the males displayed a decrease in lifespan when experiencing diet restriction but were not significantly influenced by delayed *** analysis was used to investigate the relationship between mite survival and reproduction traits,including longevity,female lifetime reproduction,age at first reproduction,early reproductive efforts and late reproductive efforts,yielding no evidence for trade-offs between these life-history *** additive effects of dietary restriction and delayed mating in lifespan extension of female spider mites were confirmed,proving that diet restriction is a robust anti-aging intervention,and that later onset of reproduction can prolong adult lifespan in females.
