BACKGROUND Survival rates of patients with advanced pancreatic cancer(APC)have been improved with palliative chemotherapy *** current preferred first-line regimen consists of combination therapy of 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)/leucovorin(LV),irinotecan,and oxaliplatin(FOLFIRINOX)or gemcitabine plus albumin-bound paclitaxel(GNP).After failure of first-line chemotherapy,there are a few options for subsequent therapy including switch to the unused first-line regimen or nanoliposomal irinotecan and 5-FU/***,there are limited studies on the efficacy of third-line chemotherapy after failure of second-line *** To identify patients with APC who might benefit from third-line *** Medical records from a single tertiary hospital were retrospectively reviewed between 2012 and *** study included patients with histologically or cytologically confirmed metastatic or locally APC who underwent first-line FOLFIRINOX or GNP and subsequently received third-line *** survival(OS)after diagnosis and OS after third-line chemotherapy(OS3)were defined as the interval from the diagnosis to all-cause death and the time between the initiation of the third-line chemotherapy to all-cause death,*** A total of 141 patients were *** median patient age at diagnosis was 61.8 years(36.0-86.0),and 54.9%were *** first-line regimen was FOLFIRINOX(67.4%)or GNP(32.6%).The second-line regimen was FOLFIRINOX(27.0%),GNP(52.5%),or other(20.6%).The median OS was 19.0 months,and the median OS3 and progression-free survival after third-line treatment were 15.3 and 7.3 weeks,*** regard to the best tumor response during third-line chemotherapy,1.4%had partial response,24.8%had stable disease,and 59.6%had progressive *** following clinical factors before third-line chemotherapy affected OS3:Good performance status(PS),serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)level<1000 U/mL,duration of second-line chemotherapy≥

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries (AZIBs) have received considerable attention owing to their various advantages such as safety,low cost,simple battery assembly conditions,and high ionic ***,they still suffer from serious problems,including uncontrollable dendrite growth,corrosion,hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) from water decomposition,electrode passivation,and unexpected *** creation of a uniform artificial nanocrystal layer on the Zn anode surface is a promising strategy for resolving these ***,we propose the use of a perovskite CaTiO_(3)(CTO) protective layer on Zn(CTO@Zn) as a promising approach for improving the performance of *** CTO artificial layer provides an efficient pathway for Zn ion diffusion towards the Zn metal because of the high dielectric constant (εr=180) and ferroelectric characteristics that enable the alignment of dipole moments and redistribute the Zn^(2+)ions in the CTO *** avoiding the direct contact of the Zn anode with the electrolyte solution,the uneven dendrite growth,corrosion,parasitic side reactions,and HER are mitigated,while CTO retains its mechanical and chemical robustness during ***,CTO@Zn demonstrates an improved lifespan in a symmetric cell configuration compared with bare ***@Zn shows steady overpotential (~68 m V) for 1500 h at 1 mA cm^(-2)/0.5 mA h cm^(-2),excelling bare ***,when paired with the V_(2)O_(5)-C cathode,the CTO@Zn//V_(2)O_(5)-C full battery delivers 148.4 mA h g^(-1)(based on the mass of the cathode) after 300 *** study provides new insights into Zn metal anodes and the development of high-performance AZIBs.

All-solid-state batteries(ASSBs)are pursued due to their potential for better safety and high energy ***,the energy density of the cathode for ASSBs does not seem to be satisfactory due to the low utilization of active materials(AMs)at high *** small amount of solid electrolyte(SE)powder in the cathode,poor electrochemical performance is often observed due to contact loss and non-homogeneous distribution of AMs and SEs,leading to high tortuosity and limitation of lithium and electron transport ***,we propose a novel cathode design that can achieve high volumetric energy density of 1258 Wh L^(-1)at high AM content of 85 wt%by synergizing the merits of AM@SE core–shell composite particles with conformally coated thin SE shell prepared from mechanofusion process and small SE *** core–shell structure with an intimate and thin SE shell guarantees high ionic conduction pathway while unharming the electronic *** addition,small SE particles play the role of a filler that reduces the packing porosity in the cathode composite electrode as well as between the cathode and the SE separator *** systematic demonstration of the optimization process may provide understanding and guidance on the design of electrodes for ASSBs with high electrode density,capacity,and ultimately energy density.

Recent advancements in passive wireless sensor technology have significantly extended the application scope of sensing,particularly in challenging environments for monitoring industry and healthcare *** systems are equipped with battery-free operation,wireless connectivity,and are designed to be both miniaturized and *** features enable the safe,real-time monitoring of industrial environments and support high-precision physiological measurements in confined internal body spaces and on wearable epidermal *** the exploration into diverse application environments,the development of a systematic and comprehensive research framework for system architecture remains elusive,which hampers further optimization of these *** review,therefore,begins with an examination of application scenarios,progresses to evaluate current system architectures,and discusses the function of each component—specifically,the passive sensor module,the wireless communication model,and the readout module—within the context of key implementations in target sensing ***,we present case studies that demonstrate the feasibility of proposed classified components for sensing scenarios,derived from this systematic *** outlining a research trajectory for the application of passive wireless systems in sensing technologies,this paper aims to establish a foundation for more advanced,user-friendly applications.

Polystyrene nanoparticles pose significant toxicological risks to aquatic ecosystems, yet their impact on zebrafish(Danio rerio) embryonic development, particularly erythropoiesis, remains underexplored. This study used single-cell RNA sequencing to comprehensively evaluate the effects of polystyrene nanoparticle exposure on erythropoiesis in zebrafish embryos. In vivo validation experiments corroborated the transcriptomic findings,revealing that polystyrene nanoparticle exposure disrupted erythrocyte differentiation, as evidenced by the decrease in mature erythrocytes and concomitant increase in immature erythrocytes. Additionally, impaired heme synthesis further contributed to the diminished erythrocyte *** findings underscore the toxic effects of polystyrene nanoparticles on hematopoietic processes, highlighting their potential to compromise organismal health in aquatic environments.

All-solid-state batteries（ASSBs） are pursued due to their potential for better safety and high energy density. However, the energy density of the cathode for ASSBs does not seem to be satisfactory due to the low utilization of active materials（AMs） at high loading. With small amount of solid electrolyte（SE） powder in the cathode, poor electrochemical performance is often observed due to contact loss and non-homogeneous distribution of AMs and SEs, leading to high tortuosity and limitation of lithium and electron transport pathways. Here, we propose a novel cathode design that can achieve high volumetric energy density of 1258 Wh L-1at high AM content of 85 wt% by synergizing the merits of AM@SE core–shell composite particles with conformally coated thin SE shell prepared from mechanofusion process and small SE particles.
