BACKGROUND Abdominal Clostridium perfringens(C. perfringens) gas gangrene is a rare infection that has been described in the literature as most frequently occurring in postoperative patients with open trauma. Intra-abdominal gas gangrene caused by *** infection after closed abdominal injury is extremely rare, difficult to diagnose, and progresses rapidly with high mortality risk. here, we report a case of C. perfringens infection caused by closed abdominal *** SUMMARY A 54-year-old male suffered multiple intestinal tears and necrosis after sustaining an injury caused by falling from a high height. These injuries and the subsequent necrosis resulted in intra-abdominal C. perfringens infection. In the first operation,we removed the necrotic intestinal segment, kept the abdomen open and covered the intestine with a Bogota bag. A vacuum sealing drainage system was used to cover the outer layer of the Bogota bag, and the drainage was flushed under negative pressure. The patient was transferred to the intensive care unit for supportive care and empirical antibiotic treatment. The antibiotics were not changed until the results of bacterial culture and drug susceptibility testing were *** consecutive operations were then performed due to secondary intestinal necrosis. After three definitive operations, the patient successfully survived the perioperative period. Unfortunately, he died of complications related to GuillainBarre syndrome 75 d after the first surgery. Broadband electroluminescence based on environment-friendly emitters is promising for healthy lighting yet remains an unprecedented challenge to *** copper halide-based emitters are competitive candidates for broadband emission,but their high-performance electroluminescence shows inadequate broad emission bandwidth of less than 90 ***,we demonstrate efficient ultra-broadband electroluminescence from a copper halide(CuI)nanocluster single emitter prepared by a one-step solution synthesis-deposition process,through dedicated design of ligands and subtle selection of *** CuI nanocluster exhibits high rigidity in the excitation state as well as dual-emissive modes of phosphorescence and temperature-activated delayed fluorescence,enabling the uniform cluster-composed film to show excellent stability and high photoluminescent *** consequence,ultra-broadband light-emitting diodes(LEDs)present nearly identical performance in an inert or air atmosphere without encapsulation and outstanding high-temperature operation performance,reaching an emission full width at half maximum(FWHM)of~120 nm,a peak external quantum efficiency of 13%,a record maximum luminance of~50,000 cd m^(−2),and an operating half-lifetime of 137 h at 100 cd m^(−2).The results highlight the potential of copper halide nanoclusters for next-generation healthy lighting.

We consider the models of vacuum energy interacting with cold dark matter in this study, in which the coupling can change sigh during the cosmological evolution. We parameterize the running coupling b by the form b(a) = b_0 a + b_e(1-a), where at the earlytime the coupling is given by a constant b_e and today the coupling is described by another constant b_0. We explore six specific models with(i) Q = b(a)H_0ρ_0,(ii) Q = b(a)H_0ρ_(de),(iii) Q = b(a)H_0ρ_c,(iv) Q = b(a)Hρ_0,(v) Q = b(a)Hρ_(de), and(vi) Q = b(a)Hρ_*** current observational data sets we use to constrain the models include the JLA compilation of type Ia supernova data, the Planck 2015 distance priors data of cosmic microwave background observation, the baryon acoustic oscillations measurements,and the Hubble constant direct measurement. We find that, for all the models, we have b_0 0 at around the 1σ level,and b_0 and b_e are in extremely strong anti-correlation. Our results show that the coupling changes sign during the evolution at about the 1σ level, i.e., the energy transfer is from dark matter to dark energy when dark matter dominates the universe and the energy transfer is from dark energy to dark matter when dark energy dominates the universe.
