A versatile synthetic strategy towards rare earth based metal-organic frameworks

Rare earth metal-organic frameworks (RE-MOFs) have drawn wide attention owing to diverse network structures and various application ***,due to the unpredictable formation of the nodes,it is still challenging to design novel RE-MOFs.A novel versatile strategy was developed employing a RE-acetate complex (RE2(CH3COO)6·4H2O) as a precursor to construct RE-MOFs.2D RE-MOFs (RE-DBP) and 3D RE-MOFs (RE-TCPP) could be obtained by using dicarboxylic porphyrin ligands H2DBP and tetracarboxylic porphyrin ligands H2TCPP,*** RE-MOFs were further synthesized to verify the universality of the *** crystalline RE-MOFs could also be prepared at room temperature via the developed strategy,which could significantly promote large-scale preparation and practical application of *** proof of the concept,the performance of porphyrin-based RE-MOFs was investigated in the photocatalytic cycloaddition of CO2with *** the RE-DBP(Co) MOFs,Tb-DBP(Co) exhibited the best photocatalytic performance,which was also greater than that of the corresponding 3D MOF Tb-TCPP(Co) due to the optimal 2D structure and thus the accelerated photogenerated charge separation and transfer *** work not only provides a novel versatile strategy to design and develop RE-MOFs,but also proposes a promising approach for the potential bulk production of RE-MOFs at room temperature.

In the intricate process of natural product biosynthesis, a metabolon can enhance metabolic flux by associating sequential enzymes. A fungal metabolon, comprising of flavin-dependent monooxygenase Spe F and P450 monooxygenase Spe G, is identified in the biosynthesis of spiro polycyclic alkaloids(+)-notoamide B and its diastereomer(+)-versicolamide B. Using notoamide E as a substance, Spe F/Spe G metabolon can control the stereoselectivity of its 2,3-epoxidation, followed by hydrogen atom ion at C-17 to generate reactive epoxide tau-m A with dienyl iminium unit. Subsequently,(+)-notoamide B and(+)-versicolamide B are produced via tandem nonenzymatic inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reaction and semipinacol rearrangement. This provides the first example of metabolon in the biosynthesis of spiro-prenylated indole alkaloids.

Three-dimensional numerical study of supercritical pressure effect on heat transfer of cryogenic methane

A three-dimensional numerical study of the turbulent convective heat transfer of the cryogenic methane flowing inside a square engine cooling channel under supercritical pressures was systematically *** results indicate that increasing the fluid pressure results in enhanced heat transfer of the cryogenic methane under supercritical *** the pseudo-critical temperature under a corresponding supercritical pressure,drastic property variations cause heat transfer deterioration and sharp wall temperature increase at a high wall heat flux of 7MW/m2.A modified Jackson and Hall heat transfer equation,which can be used for supercritical heat transfer calculations of the cryogenic methane,has been successfully established in this paper.

Pyrite oxidation in column at controlled redox potential of 900 mV with and without bacteria

Comparisons on the bioleaching and sterile oxidation of pyrite were performed at controlled redox potential of 900 mV(***) and different temperatures of 30 and 60℃.For sterile experiments,the redox potential of irrigation solution was controlled by adding hydrogen peroxide solution(15 wt%),while the redox potential of irrigation solution for bioleaching was elevated by flowing through the packed bed in which bacteria were activated and *** rate of pyrite bioleaching is faster than that of sterile oxidation at temperature of 30℃.The reason is that the potential gradient of leaching solution in bioleaching column is much smaller than that in sterile *** redox potentials of irrigation solution and leaching solution are similar for bioleaching;however,the redox potential difference of irrigation solution and leaching solution for sterile oxidation is about 150 *** temperature increases to 60℃ for sterile oxidation,the rate of pyrite leaching is faster than that of bioleaching at temperature of 30℃,even though the redox potential gradient of leaching solution is *** mineralogy analyses of pyrite residue were performed by scanning electron microscopy-energy-dispersive spectroscopy(SEM-EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) *** results confirm that pyrite oxidation might only occur at specific sites with high surface energy on surface and obeys the "indirect mechanism" whether there are bacteria or *** pyrite oxidation rate is not inhibited by inert sulfur on residue surface at elevated redox *** to the conclusions,the way to accelerate pyrite oxidation is proposed.

Efficacy and safety of gemcitabine-oxaliplatin combined with huachansu in patients with advanced gallbladder carcinoma

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of gemcitabine-oxaliplatin (GEMOX) combined with huachansu (cinobufagin) injection treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic gallbladder carcinoma (GBC), and to assess the quality of life (QOL) of such patients. METHODS: Twenty-fi ve patients with locally advanced or metastatic GBC were treated with intravenous gemcitabine (1000 mg/m2) over 30 min on days 1 and 8, 2 h infusion of oxaliplatin (120 mg/m2) on day 1, and 2-3 h infusion of huachansu (20 mL/m2) on days -3-11, every 3-4 wk. Treatment was continued until occurrence of unacceptable toxicity or disease progression. QOL of patients was assessed by the EORTC QLQ-C30 at baseline, at the end of the fi rst, third and sixth chemotherapy cycles, and 1 mo after the treatment. RESULTS: Among the 25 patients with a median age of 64 years (range 42-78 years), 23 were evaluable in the study. A total of 137 cycles of therapy were performed and the median cycle was 5 (range 1-8) per patient. Out of the 23 patients whose response couldbe evaluated, 8 partial responses (PR) were observed (34.8%), while 7 patients (30.4%) demonstrated a stable disease (SD). The disease control rate was 65.2%. Progression of cancer was observed in 8 (34.8%) patients. The median progression-free and overall survival time was 5.8 mo (95% CI: 4.5-7.1 mo) and 10.5 mo, respectively. The therapy was well tolerated, with moderate myelosuppression as the main toxicity. Anemia grade 2 was seen in 16.0%, neutropenia grade 3 in 8.0% and thrombocytopenia grade 3 in 24.0% of patients, respectively. Non-hematologic toxicity ranged from mild to moderate. No death occurred due to toxicity. The QOL of patients was improved after chemotherapy, and the scores of QOL were increased by 10 to 20 points. CONCLUSION: GEMOX combined with huachansu (cinobufagin) injection is well tolerated, effective, thus improving the QOL of patients with advanced GBC.

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of the Evolution of Interfacial Dislocation Network and Stress Distribution of a Ni-Based SingleCrystal Superalloy

The evolution of misfit dislocation network at γ/γ＇ phase interfaces and the stress distribution characteristics of Ni-based single-crystal superalloys under different temperatures of 0, 100 and 300 K are studied by molecular dynamics （MD） simulation. It was found that a closed three-dimensional misfit dislocation network appears on the γ/γ＇ phase interfaces, and the shape of the dislocation network is independent of the lattice mismatch. Under the influence of the temperature, the dislocation network gradually becomes irregular, a/2 [110] dislocations in the γ matrix phase emit and partly cut into the γ＇ phase with the increase in temperature. The dislocation evolution is related to the local stress field, a peak stress occurs at γ/γ＇ phase interface, and with the increase in temperature and relaxation times, the stress in the γ phase gradually increases, the number of dislocations in the γ phase increases and cuts into γ＇ phase from the interfaces where dislocation network is damaged. The results provide important information for understanding the temperature dependence of the dislocation evolution and mechanical properties of Ni-based single-crystal superalloys.

Effect of the amplification factor on seismic stability of expanded municipal solid waste landfills using the pseudo-dynamic method

The evaluation of the seismic stability of an expanded municipal solid waste(MSW) landfill is very important in seismic prone *** this paper,the pseudo-dynamic method was used to calculate the average safety factor for the expanded landfill with a trapezoidal berm based on under-berm failure ***,the effects of the variation of parameters such as the amplification factor,seismic coefficient,height of berm,angle of back slope of berm,and depth of waste mass at the back slope on the seismic stability of the landfill were *** results indicated that the influences of the vertical seismic coefficient,height of berm,and angle of the back slope of the berm on the seismic stability of the landfill are weakened as the amplification factor increases,but the influence of the horizontal seismic coefficient on the seismic stability of the landfill is *** the other hand,a certain ratio of the height of the waste mass above the back slope to the depth of waste mass at the back slope,or the reasonable consideration of the magnitude of the amplification factor will be conducive to the seismic design of the *** addition,the results obtained by the pseudo-static and pseudo-dynamic methods were compared.
