BACKGROUND Esophageal stricture ranks among the most significant complications following endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD).Excessive fibrotic repair is a typical pathological feature leading to stenosis after *** To examine the effectiveness and underlying mechanism of Kangfuxin solution(KFX)in mitigating excessive fibrotic repair of the esophagus *** Pigs received KFX at 0.74 mL/kg/d for 21 days after esophageal full circumferential *** examinations occurred on days 7 and 21 *** vitro,recombinant transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1(5 ng/mL)induced a fibrotic microenvironment in primary esophageal fibroblasts(pEsF).After 24 hours of KFX treatment(at 1.5%,1%,and 0.5%),expression ofα-smooth muscle actin-2(ACTA2),fibronectin(FN),and type collagen I was *** signaling was analyzed,including TGF-β1,Smad2/3,and phosphor-smad2/3(p-Smad2/3).RESULTS Compared to the Control group,the groups treated with KFX and prednisolone exhibited reduced esophageal stenosis,lower weight loss rates,and improved food tolerance 21 d after *** treatment,Masson staining revealed thinner and less dense collagen fibers in the submucosal ***,the expression of fibrotic effector molecules was notably ***,KFX downregulated the transduction levels of fibrotic functional molecules such as TGF-β1,Smad2/3,and p-Smad2/*** vitro,pEsF exposed to TGF-β1-induced fibrotic microenvironment displayed increased fibrotic activity,which was reversed by KFX treatment,leading to reduced activation of ACTA2,FN,and collagen *** 1.5%KFX treatment group showed decreased expression of p-Smad 2/3 in TGF-β1-activated *** KFX showed promise as a therapeutic option for post-full circumferential esophageal ESD strictures,potentially by suppressing fibroblast fibrotic activity through modulation of the TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway.

An Effective Cloud Workflow Scheduling Approach Combining PSO and Idle Time Slot-Aware Rules

Workflow scheduling is a key issue and remains a challenging problem in cloud *** with the large number of virtual machine(VM)types offered by cloud providers,cloud users need to choose the most appropriate VM type for each *** task scheduling sequences exist in a workflow *** task scheduling sequences have a significant impact on the scheduling *** is not easy to determine the most appropriate set of VM types for tasks and the best task scheduling ***,the idle time slots on VM instances should be used fully to increase resources'utilization and save the execution cost of a *** paper considers these three aspects simultaneously and proposes a cloud workflow scheduling approach which combines particle swarm optimization(PSO)and idle time slot-aware rules,to minimize the execution cost of a workflow application under a deadline constraint.A new particle encoding is devised to represent the VM type required by each task and the scheduling sequence of *** idle time slot-aware decoding procedure is proposed to decode a particle into a scheduling *** handle tasks'invalid priorities caused by the randomness of PSO,a repair method is used to repair those priorities to produce valid task scheduling *** proposed approach is compared with state-of-the-art cloud workflow scheduling *** show that the proposed approach outperforms the comparative algorithms in terms of both of the execution cost and the success rate in meeting the deadline.

基于第一性原理计算,系统研究了超碱NLi_(4)团簇修饰在DHQ石墨烯表面上的几何结构及吸附能等性质,并深入探索了其储氢性能.研究结果表明:超碱NLi_(4)团簇可以稳定均匀地吸附在DHQ石墨烯表面,Li原子与N原子的强结合能有效避免了Li原子发生团聚.每个NLi_(4)团簇周围最多可吸附11个氢气分子,平均吸附能为0.20 eV,最大储氢容量为12.05 wt%,达到美国能源部制定的2025年储氢目标5.5 wt%.最后,基于相对能量计算,发现当压强大于84 bar时,该储氢体系可以在室温下稳定存在.以上结果表明经超碱NLi_(4)团簇修饰的DHQ石墨烯是一种有潜力的储氢材料.

Performance-Centric Optimization for Racetrack Memory Based Register File on GPUs

The key to high performance for GPU architecture lies in its massive threading capability to drive a large number of cores and enable execution overlapping among threads. However, in reality, the number of threads that can simultaneously execute is often limited by the size of the register file on GPUs. The traditional SRAM-based register file takes up so large amount of chip area that it cannot scale to meet the increasing demand of GPU applications. Racetrack memory （RM） is a promising technology for designing large capacity register file on GPUs due to its high data storage density. However, without careful deployment of RM-based register file, the lengthy shift operations of RM may hurt the performance. In this paper, we explore RM for designing high-performance register file for GPU architecture. High storage density RM helps to improve the thread level parallelism （TLP）, but if the bits of the registers are not aligned to the ports, shift operations are required to move the bits to the access ports before they are accessed, and thus the read/write operations are delayed. We develop an optimization framework for RM-based register file on GPUs, which employs three different optimization techniques at the application, compilation, and architecture level, respectively. More clearly, we optimize the TLP at the application level, design a register mapping algorithm at the compilation level, and design a preshifting mechanism at the architecture level. Collectively, these optimizations help to determine the TLP without causing cache and register file resource contention and reduce the shift operation overhead. Experimental results using a variety of representative workloads demonstrate that our optimization framework achieves up to 29% （21% on average） performance improvement.

The wavelet analysis technique is a powerful tool and is widely used in broad disciplines of engineering,technology,and *** this work,we present a novel scheme of constructing continuous wavelet functions,in which the wavelet functions are obtained by taking the first derivative of smoothing functions with respect to the scale *** to this wavelet constructing scheme,the inverse transforms are only one-dimensional integrations with respect to the scale parameter,and hence the continuous wavelet transforms(CWTs)constructed in this way are more ready to use than the usual *** then apply the Gaussian-derived wavelet constructed by our scheme to computations of the density power spectrum for dark matter,the velocity power spectrum and the kinetic energy spectrum for baryonic *** computations exhibit the convenience and strength of the *** transforms are very easy to perform,and we believe that the simplicity of our wavelet scheme will make CWTs very useful in practice.

Seismic and rock physics play important roles in gas hydrate exploration and *** provide a clear cognition of the applications of geophysical methods on gas hydrate,this work presents a review of the seismic techniques,rock physics models,and production methods in gas hydrate exploration and *** first summarize the commonly used seismic techniques in identifying the gas hydrate formations and analyze the limitations and challenges of these ***,we outline the rock physics models linking the micro-scale physical properties and macro-scale seismic velocities of gas hydrate sediments,and generalize the common workflow,showing the frequently-used procedures of building models with detailed analysis of the potential ***,we summarize the production techniques of gas hydrate and point out the problems regarding the petrophysical basis and abnormal seismic *** the end,considering the geological and engineering problems,we come up with several aspects of using geophysical techniques to solve the problems in gas hydrate exploration and production,hopefully to provide some important clues for future studies of gas hydrate.
