Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have drawn significant attention owing to their high theoretical discharge capacity and energy ***,the dissolution of long-chain polysulfides into the electrolyte during the charge and discharge process(“shuttle effect”)results in fast capacity fading and inferior electrochemical *** this study,Mn_(2)O_(3)with an ordered mesoporous structure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was designed as a cathode host for LSBs via KIT-6 hard templating,to effectively inhibit the polysulfide shuttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to confine sulfur and tightly anchor the dissolved polysulfides through the combined effects of strong polar-polar interactions,polysulfides,and sulfur chain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/S composite electrode delivered a discharge capacity of 561 mAh g^(-1) after 250 cycles at 0.5 C owing to the excellent performance of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,it retained a discharge capacity of 628mA h g^(-1) even at a rate of 2 C,which was significantly higher than that of a pristine sulfur electrode(206mA h g^(-1)).These findings provide a prospective strategy for designing cathode materials for high-performance LSBs.

VColor^(*):a practical approach for coloring large graphs

Graph coloring has a wide range of real world applications,such as in the operations research,communication network,computational biology and compiler optimization *** our recent work[1],we propose a divide-andconquer approach for graph coloring,called *** an approach has three generic subroutines.(i)Graph partition subroutine:VColor partitions a graph G into a vertex cut partition(VP),which comprises a vertex cut component(VCC)and small non-overlapping connected components(CCs).(ii)Component coloring subroutine:VColor colors the VCC and the CCs by efficient algorithms.(iii)Color combination subroutine:VColor combines the local colors by exploiting the maximum matchings of color combination bigraphs(CCBs).VColor has revealed some major bottlenecks of efficiency in these ***,in this paper,we propose VColor^(*),an approach which addresses these efficiency bottlenecks without using more colors both theoretically and *** technical novelties of this paper are the following.(i)We propose the augmented VP to index the crossing edges of the VCC and the CCs and propose an optimized CCB construction algorithm.(ii)For sparse CCs,we propose using a greedy coloring algorithm that is of polynomial time complexity in the worst case,while preserving the approximation ratio.(iii)We propose a distributed graph coloring *** extensive experimental evaluation on real-world graphs confirms the efficiency of VColor^(*).In particular,VColor^(*)is 20X and 50X faster than VColor and uses the same number of colors with VColor on the Pokec and PA datasets,***^(*)also significantly outperforms the state-ofthe-art graph coloring methods.

This work aims to implement expert and collaborative group recommendation services through an analysis of expertise and network relations NTIS. First of all, expertise database has been constructed by extracting keywords after indexing national R＆D information in Korea （human resources, project and outcome） and applying expertise calculation algorithm. In consideration of the characteristics of national R＆D information, weight values have been selected. Then, expertise points were calculated by applying weighted values. In addition, joint research and collaborative relations were implemented in a knowledge map format through network analysis using national R＆D information.

One dimensional pea-shaped NiSe_(2) nanoparticles encapsulated in N-doped graphitic carbon fibers to boost redox reversibility in sodium-ion batteries

In recent years,sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have emerged as a promising technology for energy storage systems(ESSs)because of the abundance and affordability of ***,metal selenides have been studied as promising high-performance conversion-type anode materials in *** them,nickel se-lenide(NiSe_(2))has received considerable attention due to its high theoretical capacity of 495 mAh g^(-1)and ***,it still suffers from poor cycling stability because of the low electrochemical reactivity,large volume expansion,and structural instability during *** address these challenges,NiSe_(2)nanoparticles encapsulated in N-doped graphitic carbon fibers(NiSe_(2)@NGCF)were synthesized by using ZIF-8 as a ***_(2)@NGCF showed a high discharge capacity of 558.3 mAh g^(-1)with a fading rate of 0.14%per cycle after 200 cycles at 0.5 A g^(-1)in 0.01-3.0 *** a very high current density of 5 A g^(-1),the capacity still displayed excellent long-term cycle life with a discharge capacity of 406.1 mAh g^(-1)with a fading rate of 0.016%per cycle after 3000 *** mechanism of the excellent electrochem-ical performance of NiSe_(2)@NGCF was thoroughly investigated by ex-situ XRD,TEM,and SEM ***,NiSe_(2)@NGCF//Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)full-cell also delivered an excellent reversible capacity of 378.7 mAh g^(−1)at 0.1 A g^(−1)after 50 cycles,demonstrating its potential for practical application in SIBs.

Aerosol-assisted rapid synthesis of SnS-C composite microspheres as anode material for Na-ion batteries

SnS-C composite powders were prepared through one-pot spray pyrolysis for use as anode materials for Na-ion batteries. C microspheres with uniformly attached cubic-like SnS nanocrystals, which have an amorphous C coating layer, were formed at a preparation temperature of 900 ℃. The initial discharge capacities of the bare SnS and SnS-C composite powders at a current density of 500 mA·g^-1 were 695 and 740 mA·h·g^-1, respectively. The discharge capacities after 50 cycles and the capacity retentions measured from the second cycle of the bare SnS and SnS-C composite powders were 25 and 433 mA.h.g-1 and 5 and 89%, respectively. The prepared SnS-C composite powders with high reversible capacities and good cycle performance can be used as Na-ion battery anode materials.

Enhanced Li^＋ storage properties of few-layered MoS2-C composite microspheres embedded with Si nanopowder

A few-layered MoS2-C composite material is studied as a supporting material for silicon nanopowder. Microspheres of the few-layered MoS2-C composite embedded with 30 wt.% Si nanopowder are prepared by one-pot spray pyrolysis. The Si nanopowder particles with high capacity are completely surrounded by the few-layered MoS2-C composite matrix. The discharge capacities of the MoS2-C composite microspheres with and without 30 wt.% Si nanopowder after 100 cycles are 1,020 and 718 mAh·g^-1 at a current density of 1,000 mA·g^-1 respectively. The spherical morphology of the MoS2-C composite microspheres embedded with Si nanopowder is preserved even after 100 cycles because of their high structural stability during cycling. The MoS2-C composite layer prevents the formation of unstable solid-electrolyte interface （SEI） layers on the Si nanopowder. Furthermore, as the MoS2-C composite matrix exhibits high capacity and excellent cycling performance, these characteristics are also reflected in the MoS2-C composite microspheres embedded with 30 wt.% Si nanopowder.

Crohn's disease confined to the duodenum: A case report

Crohn's disease(CD) can involve any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to anus. However, gastroduodenal CD is rare with a frequency reported to range between 0.5% and 4.0%. Most patients with gastroduodenal CD have concomitant lesions in the terminal ileum or colon, but isolated gastroduodenal Crohn's disease is an extremely rare presentation of the disease accounting for less than 0.07% of all patients with CD. The symptoms of gastroduodenal CD include epigastric pain, dyspepsia, early satiety, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and weight loss. The diagnosis of gastroduodenal CD requires a high level of clinical suspicion and can be made by comprehensive clinical evaluation. Here we report a rare case of isolated duodenal CD not confirmed by identification of granuloma on biopsy, but diagnosed by clinical evaluation.

Deflection angle switching with a metasurface based on phase-change nanorods [Invited]

We propose the active metasurface using phase-change material Ge2Sb2Te5（GST）, which has two distinct phases so called amorphous and crystalline phases, for an ultrathin light path switching device. By arranging multiple anisotropic GST nanorods, the gradient metasurface, which has opposite directions of phase gradients at the two distinct phases of GST, is demonstrated theoretically and numerically. As a result, in the case of normal incidence of circularly polarized light at the wavelength of 1650 nm, the cross-polarized light deflects to-55.6° at the amorphous phase and ＋55.6° at the crystalline phase with the signal-to-noise ratio above 10 dB.
