Dedifferentiation of cell identity to a progenitor-like or stem cell-like state with increased cellular plasticity is frequently observed in cancer *** this process,a subpopulation of cells in tumours acquires a stem cell-like state partially resembling to naturally occurring pluripotent stem cells that are temporarily present during early *** characteristics allow these cancer stem cells(CSCs)to give rise to the whole tumour with its entire cellular heterogeneity and thereby support metastases formation while being resistant to current cancer *** development and progression are demarcated by transcriptional *** this article,we explore the epigenetic mechanisms shaping gene expression during tumorigenesis and cancer stem cell formation,with an emphasis on 3D chromatin *** the pluripotent stem cell state and epigenetic reprogramming to dedifferentiation in cellular transformation provides intriguing insight to chromatin *** suggest that the 3D chromatin architecture could be used as a target for re-sensitizing cancer stem cells to therapeutics.

The self-consistent field theory (SCFT) based upon coarse-grained model is especially suitable for investigating thermodynamic equilibrium morphology and the phase diagram of inhomo-geneous polymer systems subjected to phase separation. The advantage of this model is that the details of the chain such as the architecture of the chain and the sequence of blocks can be consid-ered. We present here an overview of SCFT approach and its applications in polymeric systems. In particular, we wish to focus on our group’s achievements in applications of SCFT in such fields: simulation of microphase separation morphologies of multiblock copolymers with a complex molecular architecture, interactions between brush-coated sheets in a polymer matrix, mixtures of flexible poly-mers and small molecular liquid crystals at the interface, shapes of polymer-chain-anchored fluid vesicles, self-assembled morphologies of block copolymers in dilute solution, and so on. Finally, the further developments as well as the perspective applications of SCFT are discussed.

The exploitation of a thin-layered reservoir with thickness less than 5 m(16 ft)needs to rely upon sedimentary facies analysis,due to the low resolution of seismic data and sparse well ***,the ambiguity of facies interpretation creates uncertainty in facies and reservoir *** study aims to better define facies distribution,predict sand-body architecture,and consequently reduce risks in planning development wells,by integrating production data(dynamic)with conceptual geological models(static).An example is shown from the M1 Member of the Napo Formation in the B and G Oilfields(Block J),Oriente Basin,*** M1 reservoir is a thin-layered sandstone reservoir below seismic *** and well-log facies interpretation indicates depositional facies of a tidedominated *** data during the water injection phase of field development can delineate the detailed geometry of the sand *** injector-producer rate responses can determine the connectivity of sand *** performance during primary recovery can capture the scale of single reservoirs because the initial production rates and the cumulative oil production of individual wells are generally proportional to the size of sand bodies.A facies model was thereby *** step-out wells were planned using this model and drilled *** results demonstrate that the integration of dynamic and static data is critical to understanding reservoir facies distribution.

Introduction:Determining the transmission chain of a virus in its incipient stages is extremely time consuming in traditional approaches that rely mainly on case incidence and interview-based contact *** the development of high-throughput sequencing technology,genome-based epidemiology approach is showing promise in detecting viral ***,there is still insufficient evidence for the relationship between the viral genetic variations and real viral ***:To explore the possible relationship between transmission chains and viral genetic variations,we combined both epidemiological data and viral genomes of COVID-19 virus collected from Sichuan Province.A phylogenetic approach was used to infer the transmission chain,which was then compared to the transmission chain that came from epidemiological ***:We found that the putative transmission chains were highly concordant to the true transmission chains from epidemiological data,suggesting a strong correlation between viral genetic variations and the viral transmission ***:Our results showed advantages of viral genomic sequencing in tracking and perceiving pathogen transmission,which allowed for potential improvements in the design and implementation of population-level public health interventions.
