The impact of perioperative blood transfusions on short-term outcomes following hepatectomy

Phosphorus is one of the most important nutrients required for plant growth and development. While substantial amounts of total phosphorus are present in many soil types, plants are unable to utilize some organic phosphorus sources. The main goal of this study was to characterize the spectrum of secreted plant proteins, organic acids and other metabolites that can potentially contribute to utilization of various phosphorus compounds. Our data indicate that the composition of extracellular proteins secreted by plant roots varies depending on the specific source of P in the growth medium. Furthermore, some root-secreted metabolites, such as citrate, appear to be specific to a subset of ecotypes, while tartrate, succinate and oxalate are secreted by a number of A. thaliana ecotypes. We observed secretion of phenolic compounds, such as tannins, and deoxycytidine derivatives. Taken together, while no single secreted polypeptide, organic acid or secondary metabolite can be pinpointed as specific to plant growth in particular phosphorus conditions, our data indicate that A. thaliana ecotypes differ in their physiological responses to the source of phosphorus in the growth medium. Overall, these results suggest that physiological changes in plant responses to nutrient limitation are modulated by interactions between soil phosphorus source and the specific genotype of Arabidopsis plants.

Manifestation of Key Molecular Genetic Markers in Pharmacocorrection of Endogenous Iron Metabolism in MCF-7 and MCF-7/DDP Human Breast Cancer Cells

Effects of the nanocomposite and its components (magnetic fluid, cisplatin) on the level of endogenous iron exchange and the key links of genetic and epigenetic regulation of apoptotic program of sensitive and resistant MCF-7 cells were examined. We showed genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of action of nanocomposite of magnetic fluid and cisplatin. nanocomposite caused elevation of number of cells in apoptosis in sensitive and especially resistant MCF-7 cells compared to cisplatin alone. It was proved that impact of nanocomposite on MCF-7/S and MCF-7/DDP cells caused more significant changes in expression of apoptosis regulators p53, Bcl-2 and Bax. We also suggested that changes in endogenous iron homeostasis and activation of free radical processes caused significant impact on apoptosis. Those changes included changes in methylation and expression of transferrin, its receptors, ferritin heavy and light chains (predominantly in resistant cell line), which caused activation of free radical synthesis and development of oxidative stress. We also showed that nanocomposite impact resulted into significant changes in expression of miRnA-34a and miRnA-200b, which regulated apoptosis, cell adhesion, invasion and activity of ferritin heavy chains gene. Thus, use of nanocomposite containing cisplatin and ferromagnetic as exogenous source of Fe ions caused changes of endogenous iron levels in sensitive and resistant cells allowing to increase specific activity of cytostatics and overcome factors, which promoted MDR development. Pharmacocorrection of endogenous iron metabolism allowed increasing antitumor activity of cisplatin and overcoming drug resistance.

本文通过细读金庸小说原版《射雕英雄传》及印尼译本《Pendekar Pemanah Rajawali》,运用文献法、分析法、对比法,在前人研究的基础上对译本做进一步研究,多角度地分析和对比两个版本之间的语言特点,从而对文化差异性进行思考。为此,本人做了如下工作:介绍金庸武侠作品在印尼接受及其翻译情况;了解翻译方法的理论、定义和分类;阐述金庸武侠小说对印尼文化的影响(中文学习、武侠小说创作、侠义精神、印尼语构词方面);分析《射雕英雄传》印尼语翻译(人物名称、地方名称、武功招式、成语和专用名词)。通过这一系列的研究,本人得出如下结论:《射雕英雄传》的翻译主要包括归化翻译(意译、释译、仿译、改译)和异化翻译(音译、直译)。异化翻译(音译和直译)使用频率最多,但效果最好的却是归化结合异化“和而不同”。本人亦在此文撰写过程中提出了自己对印尼语翻译作品的看法和建议。

The adipocytokine apelin is capable to reduce myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rodents. Cardioprotective activity of apelin may be attributed to upregulation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (enOS). This study was designed to examine metabolic and functional effects of a synthesized 12 C-terminal residue of apelin (A-12) and nG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-nAME), a non-selective enOS inhibitor, in isolated working rat hearts subjected to global ischemia. Preischemic infusion of A-12 increased recovery of cardiac function during reperfusion compared with control and resulted in enhanced restoration of myocardial ATP, adenine nucleotide pool, phosphocreatine and reduction of myocardial lactate and lactate/pyruvate ratio. Coadministration of A-12 and L-nAME aggravated recovery of coronary flow and cardiac function compared with these indices after A-12 treatment. Cardiac dysfunction was associated with increase in lactate dehydrogenase release in myocardial effluent, reduction of glucose oxidation and abolishment of augmented restoration of high energy phosphates. The results clearly demonstrate involvement of nOS-dependent mechanisms in cardioprotection afforded by apelin.
