Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. The inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHSDT) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of green-Lagrange nonlinearity. The problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MATLAB environment to solve it numerically. various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(HR), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(HS), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. The model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. These studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. The results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

Nanofiber networks are effective structural forms to utilize the excellent nanoscale properties of nanofibers in macro *** tuning the anisotropic degree of fiber orientation distribution can maximize the macroscopic mechanical properties of random nanofiber networks in a specific ***,the reinforcing mechanism of the anisotropic orientation distribution to the elastic behavior has not been fully *** this paper,the effect of anisotropic orientation distribution of nanofibers on the elastic behavior of network is studied based on the modulus-density scaling relation and stiffness *** uniaxial modulus of network is determined by both the orientation angle of each fiber and interconnectivity of the random fiber *** the increase of anisotropic degree,the contribution of fiber orientation angle to the network modulus of the preferential direction increases and gradually tends to a constant,while the interconnectivity of the networks decreases,which may reduce the loadability of ***,at a given network density,the uniaxial modulus along the preferential direction first increases to a maximum value and then decreases with the increase of the anisotropic ***,an expression to predict the optimal anisotropic degrees corresponding to the maximum uniaxial moduli at different network densities is established.

AIM: Despite the presence of lymphocyte infiltration, human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is typically a rapidly progressive disease. The mechanism of regulation of lymphocyte migration is poorly understood. In this study,we investigated various factors regulating T cell migration in HCC patients. We examined serum CXC chemokine levels in HCC patients and demonstrated the production of CXC chemokines by HCC cell lines. We determined the effect of both HCC patient serum and tumor cell conditioned supernatant upon lymphocyte expression of chemokine receptor CXCR3 as well as lymphocyte migration. Lastly,we examined the chemotactic responses of lymphocytes derived from HCC ***: The serum chemokines IP-10 (CXCL10) and Mig (CXCL9) levels were measured by cytometric bead array (CBA) and the tumor tissue IP-10 concentration was measured by ELISA. The surface expression of CXCR3 on lymphocytes was determined by flow cytometry. The migratory function of lymphocytes to the corresponding chemokines was assessed using an in vitro chemotactic assay. Phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) was determined by Western blot ***: Increased levels of IP-10 and Mig were detected in HCC patient serum and culture supernatants of HCC cell lines. The IP-10 concentration in the tumor was significantly higher than that in the non-involved adjacent liver *** cell lines secreted functional chemokines that induced a CXCR3-specific chemotactic response of ***, tumor-cell-derived chemokines induced initial rapid phosphorylation of lymphocyte ERK followed by later inhibition of ERK phosphorylation. The culture of normal lymphocytes with HCC cell line supernatants or medium containing serum from HCC patients resulted in a significant reduction in the proportion of lymphocytes exhibiting surface expression of CXCR3. Purpose:To report an unusual case of retinal hernia in the central macula in an adult after *** report:.We report a case of a 46-year-old male who presented with blurred vision 2 weeks after complete resolution of acute iridocyclitis. Anterior segment and vitreous body examinations were unremarkable. Yellowish spots in the macular area were observed. Spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT) imaging of the macula showed loss of the inner segment / outer segment(IS / OS) photoreceptor junction,.with irregularity of the retinal pigment epithelium(RPE),.and a v-shaped hernia of the retina into the *** macular lesions emerged as mild window defects on fluorescein angiography and were visualized as hypofluorescent patches on all-phase indocyanine green angiography. At a one month follow-up, the best-corrected visual acuity improved to20 / 20,.which was followed by partial restoration of the IS / OS line,.but a v-shaped hernia of the retina remained unchanged on ***:.Ophthalmologists should be alert to the changes in OCT of the macula in patients after iridocyclitis and further research on the cause and possible predisposing factors for retinal herniation is warranted.

Crack problems for isotropic/orthotropic two-layered strips have been inves-tigated. A system of two singular integral equations can be derived by using Fourier integraltransformation and boundary conditions of crack problems. After stress singularities at crack tips orother special points are determined for internal and edge cracks, and for cracks terminating at andgoing through the interface, the system of singular integral equations is solved numerically by gauss-Jacobi or gauss-Chebyshev integration formulas for stress intensity factors at the tips and othersingular points of cracks. Finally, possible crack growth behavior for cracks approaching and goingthrough the interface is discussed.

Zonal Metamorphic Complex in the Tongulack Mountain Ridge, Altai, Russia, and Explanation ofIts Origin with the Help of Thermal Modelling

A moderate pressure/high temperature zonal metamorphic complex in the Tongulack Mountain Ridge, Altai, Russia, is described, and the applicability of the models of magmatic intrusion and fluid flow to explanation of its origin discussed. The Precambrian complex was formed at 500–700°C and 3.0–5.5 kbars; it is a linear, 25–30 km wide, thermal anticline with a curved axis showing symmetric metamorphic zoning. The metamorphism was isochemical by its nature, as is corroborated by the chemical compositions of the rocks. Four zones can be recognized within the metamorphic complex: chloritic (on the peripheries), cordieritic, sillimanitic and staurolite-out (in the centre). The zones are separated by successive isograds: cordierite, staurolite-in or sillimanite and staurolite-out. It is argued that the origin of the metamorphic zoning can be explained best by a combined fluid-magmatic model; conductive heat flow from the intrusion predominated considerably over the fluid flux in heat transfer: the fluid flow rate was estimated as about 3 ? 10?9 g/cm2, ? s. The modern position of the axial region of the metamorphic belt is predicted to be lying roughly about 1.5 km above the roof of the intrusive body.

MeRIP-PF:An Easy-to-use Pipeline for High-resolution Peak-finding in MeRIP-Seq Data

RNA modifications, especially methylation of the N6 position of adenosine （A）--m6A, rep- resent an emerging research frontier in RNA biology. With the rapid development of high-throughput sequencing technology, in-depth study of m6A distribution and function relevance becomes feasible. However, a robust method to effectively identify m6A-modified regions has not been available yet. Here, we present a novel high-efficiency and user-friendly analysis pipeline called MeRIP-PF for the signal identification of MeRIP-Seq data in reference to controls. MeRIP-PF provides a statistical P-value for each identified m6A region based on the difference of read distribution when compared to the con- trols and also calculates false discovery rate （FDR） as a cut offto differentiate reliable m6A regions from the background. Furthermore, MeRIP-PF also achieves gene annotation ofm6A signals or peaks and produce outputs in both XLS and graphical format, which are useful for further study. MeRIP-PF is implemented in Perl and is freely available at http：//***/***.
