In order to measure the thermophysical properties of ammoniated salt (***3: m = 4, 8) as an energy storage system utilizing natural resources, the measurement unit was developed, and the thermophysical properties (effective thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity) of ***3 and ***3 with heat transfer media (Ti: titanium) were measured by the any heating method. The effective thermal conductivities of CaCl2.4NH3 + Ti and CaCl2.8NH3 + Ti were 0.14 - 0.17 and 0.18 - 0.20 W/(m.K) in the measuring temperature range of 290 - 350 K, respectively, and these values were approximately 1.5 - 2.2 times larger than those of CaCl2.4NH3 and CaCl2.8NH3. The effective thermal diffusivities were 0.22 - 0.24 × 10-6 and 0.18 - 0.19 × 10-6 m2/sin the measuring temperature range of 290 - 350 K, respectively, and these values were approximately 1.3 - 1.5 times larger than those of CaCl2.4NH3 and CaCl2.8NH3. The obtained results show that the thermophysical properties have a dependence on the bulk densities and specific heats of ***3 and ***3 + Ti. It reveals that the thermophysical properties in this measurement would be the valuable design factors to develop energy and H2 storage systems utilizing natural resources such as solar energy.

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a significant cause of cancer morbidity and mortality worldwide, with an incidence of up to 166 cases per 100 000 population. It arises in the skin, upper aerodigestive tract, lung, and cervix and affects more than 200 000 Americans each year. We report here that a microarray experiment comparing 41 SCC and 13 normal tissue specimens showed that Id2, a gene that controls the cell cycle, was significantly up-regulated in SCC. Enforced expression of Id2 in vitro stimulated the proliferation of SCC cells and up-regulated the transcription of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and cyclin D1. Enhancement of the NF-κB activity with p65 significantly increased the cell proliferation and the transcription of cyclin D1, whereas inhibition of the NF-κB activity with I kappa B alpha mutant (IκBα m) and pyrroline dithiocarbamate (PDTC) abrogated cell proliferation and transcription of cyclin D1. Furthermore, a mutated NF-κB binding site in the cyclin D1 promoter fully abrogated the Id2-induced transcription of cyclin D1. Taken together, these data indicate that Id2 induces SCC tumor growth and proliferation through the NF-κB/cyclin D1 pathway.

Dried kelp is one of the most important Japanese foods mainly used as base ingredient. Holdfasts, or rhizoids, of kelp are usually discarded, as rocks, shells, ropes and other contaminants are entangled among them. The purpose of the present study was to examine whether the preparation of activated carbon from holdfasts of m>Saccharina japonicam>, a popular kelp harvested in Japan, is possible by a chemical activation technique utilizing zinc chloride, and to study the influence of the process parameters, such as carbonization temperature and the composition of the activator. Under the examined experimental conditions, maximum specific surface area of 1.7 × 103 m2/g, larger than that of a commercial activated carbon, was observed at 600℃ and the zinc chloride composition of 75 mass%.

Astrapterocarpan(AP) is a bioactive constituent of Astragali Radix and was selected as a model compound for investigating the in vitro metabolism of pterocarpans in this study. Its in vitro metabolism was conducted by incubation with rat hepatic 9000 g supernatant(S9) in the presence of an NADPH-generating system. At first, four compounds were isolated and their structures were elucidated as 6 a-hydroxy-AP(m1), astrametabolin I [m2, 1 a-hydroxy-9, 10-dimethoxy-pterocarp-1(2), 4-diene-3-one], 9-demethyl-AP(m3, nissolin) and 4-methoxy-astraisoflavan(m4, 7, 2’-dihydroxy-4, 3’, 4’-trimethoxy-isoflavan) on the basis of NmR data, respectively. Among them, m1, m2 and m4 were new compounds. Next, the metabolite profile of AP in rat hepatic S9 was obtained via HPLC-DAD-ESI-IT-TOF-mSn, and 40 new metabolites were tentatively identified. These newly identified metabolites included 9 monohydroxylated metabolites, 1 demethylated metabolite, 7 demethylated and monohydroxylated metabolites, 4 dihydroxylated metabolites, 1 hydration metabolite, 1 didemethylated metabolite, 2 glucosylated metabolites, 1 monohydroxylated and dehydrogenated metabolite, 2 monohydroxylated and demethylated and dehydrogenated metabolites, 2 dimerized metabolites, 3 dimerized and monohydroxylated metabolites, 2 dimerized and didemethylated metabolites, and 5 dimerized and demethylated metabolites. Finally, the major metabolic reactions of AP in rat hepatic S9 were summarized and found to be hydroxylation, demethylation, dimerization, hydration, and dehydrogenation. more importantly, the biotransformation from AP to m2 and the dimerization of AP by incubation with hepatic S9 were reported for the first time. In conclusion, this is the first report on the metabolism of a pure pterocarpan in animal tissues, and these findings will provide a solid basis for further studies on the metabolism of other pterocarpans.

近年来,海洋可燃冰的开发利用已经成为国际能源研究领域的重要新兴课题.本文介绍了一种利用海洋可燃冰系统的低碳排放的开采,并进行了经济性论证和开采策略的数值分析工作.以日本南部海域海槽和中国神狐海域的开采情景为例,着重针对近年中日两国的开采活动及其开采策略进行了分析.研究表明:单一的降压开采和注热开采会遇到复杂的井口效应和能效问题,策略性组合设计能够获得较好的开采效率.研究确证了地层热管理和注热水、地层热流对可燃冰储层分解过程的影响.总结了当前海洋可燃冰开采方式的利弊,提出了低碳排放的开采方法,以期为未来进一步的海洋可燃冰试采工作和规模化利用提供有益的参考.

The Yo-Yo tests and twelve-minute run test performance in young Japanese cross-country skiers

Purpose: The aim of the present study is to examine the performance of young Japanese cross-country skiers of different competitive levels with the use of Yo-Yo tests and the 12-minute run test (12mRT) that have been demonstrated to be related to each level, and to know which test is suitable for different competitive performance. methods: Elite group (N = 9) was 16.9 ± 0.3 years and moderate trained group (N = 22) was 16.1 ± 0.9 years. The testing sessions consisted of the following: 1) Vertical jump and 50m sprint;2) the Yo-Yo tests level 1 and 2 (intermittent recovery);3) 12mRT. Results: Results showed the vertical jump heights and 50m sprint that no significant both performances differences were found among the two groups. Significant the Yo-Yo tests and 12mRT performances differences were found between the two groups (p mance test (%) showed the ratio of moderate trained group towards elite group. The Yo-Yo tests performance was low enough compared with the result of 12mRT in moderate trained group. Conclusions: It is therefore valid to assume that low Yo-Yo tests performance due to immature anaerobic in cross-country skiers was a new limiting factor in the competitive level.

BACKGROUND An ectopic hepatocellular carcinoma(EHCC)arises from the ectopic liver which is defined as a hepatic organ or tissue not connected to surrounding *** is a rare disease and it is difficult to diagnose ***,the clinical features are not fully *** SUmmARY A retroperitoneal tumor(6 cm)was located at the dorsal side of the pancreas head on abdominal ultrasonography in an 81-year old woman positive for hepatitis C virus *** enhanced-computed tomography and gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging showed viable HCC patterns with early enhancement and delayed *** tumor markers-serum alphafetoprotein and alpha-fetoprotein-L3%-were increased to 30.1 ng/m L and83.1%,*** induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-Ⅱwas within normal levels(17 m AU/m L).Positron emission tomography-computed tomography showed strong accumulation into the tumor(Standardized Uptake Value max:13.8),and the tumor cytology following endoscopic ultrasoundguided fine needle aspiration showed poorly differentiated *** extirpation was performed,and operative findings showed that the retroperitoneal tumor was disconnected from the pancreas and the *** lymph nodes near the tumor were histologically *** histological examination,the tumor was finally diagnosed as EHCC with Arginase-1 positive *** We report our experience of a rare EHCC which was difficult to diagnose,and we present a review of the literature.

The vanishing point detection technology helps automatic driving. In this paper, the straight lines on the road associated with the vanishing point are extracted efficiently by using the regional division and angle limitation. And, the vanishing point is detected robustly by using the fast m-estimation method. Proposed method could detect straight-line features associated with vanishing point detection efficient on the road. And the vanishing point was detected exactly by the effect of the fast m-estimation method when the straight-line features not associated with vanishing point detection were detected. The processing time of the proposed method was faster than the camera frame rate (30 fps). Thus, the proposed method is capable of real-time processing.

We present a systematic study of the crystal-orientation dependence of high-harmonic generation in monolayer transition-metal dichalcogenides,WS2 and moSe2,subjected to intense linearly polarized midinfrared laser *** measured spectra consist of both odd-and even-order harmonics,with a high-energy cutoff extending beyond the 15th order for a laser-field strength around~1 V/*** WS2,we find that the polarization direction of the odd-order harmonics smoothly follows that of the laser field irrespective of the crystal orientation,whereas the direction of the even-order harmonics is fixed by the crystal mirror ***,the polarization of the even-order harmonics shows a flip in the course of crystal rotation when the laser field lies between two of the crystal mirror *** numerically solving the semiconductor Bloch equations for a gapped-graphene model,we qualitatively reproduce these experimental features and find the polarization flipping to be associated with a significant contribution from interband *** contrast,high-harmonic signals from moSe2 exhibit deviations from the laser-field following of oddorder harmonics and crystal-mirror-plane following of even-order *** attribute these differences to the competing roles of the intraband and interband contributions,including the deflection of the electron-hole trajectories by nonparabolic crystal bands.
