In situ resource utilization of lunar soil for highly efficient extraterrestrial fuel and oxygen supply

Building up a lunar settlement is the ultimate aim of lunar exploitation.Yet, limited fuel and oxygen supplies restrict human survival on the Moon.Herein,we demonstrate the in situ resource utilization of lunar soil for extraterrestrial fuel and oxygen production,which may power up our solely natural satellite and supply respiratory gas.Specifically,the lunar soil is loaded with Cu species and employed for electro catalytic CO2conversion,demonstrating significant production of methane.In addition,the selected component in lunar soil(i.e.MgSiO3) loaded with Cu can reach a CH4F aradaic efficiency of 72.05% with a CH4production rate of 0.8 mL/min at 600 mA/cm2.Simultaneously,an O2production rate of 2.3 mL/min can be achieved.Furthermore,we demonstrate that our developed process starting from catalyst preparation to electrocatalytic CO2conversion is so accessible that it can be operated in an unmmaned manner via a robotic system.Such a highly efficient extraterrestrial fuel and oxygen production system is expected to push forward the development of mankind’s civilization toward an extraterrestrial settlement.

Mott physics plays a critical role in materials with strong ele ctronic correlations.Mott insulator-to-metal transition can be driven by chemical doping,external pressure,temperature and gate voltage,which is often seen in transition metal oxides with 3d electrons near the Fermi energy(e.***.cuprate superconductor).In4f-electron systems,however,the insulator-to-metal transition is mostly driven by Kondo hybridization and the Mott physics has rarely been explored in experiments.Here,by combining the angle-resolved photo emission spectroscopy and strongly correlated band structure calculations,we show that an unusual Mott instability exists in YbInCu4accompanying its mysterious first-order valence transition.This contrasts with the prevalent Kondo picture and demonstrates that YbInCu4is a unique platform to explore the Mott physics in Kondo lattice systems.Our work provides important insight for the understanding and manipulation of correlated quantum phenomena in the f-electron system.

High-temperature ultra-strength of dual-phase Re_(0.5)MoNbW(TaC)_(0.5) high-entropy alloy matrix composite

The dual-phase Re_(0.5)MoNbW(TaC)_(0.5) composite,consisting of refractory body-centered cubic(BCC)highentropy alloy and carbide with many fine eutectic structures,was successfully synthesized by arc melting.The phase stability,high-temperature mechanical properties and strengthening mechanism of the ascast composite were studied.The microstructure of the composite remained stable after annealing at 1300℃for 168 h.It exhibited remarkably high-temperature strength,yield strength~901 MPa,and true ultimate compressive strength~1186 MPa at 1200℃.The BCC phase and carbide exhibited a semi-coherent interface with good bonding after severe deformation at 1200℃.The dipolar dislocation walls in BCC phase,restricted dynamic interaction between defects in carbide,and the pinning effect of semi-coherent interface offered effective strengthening effects.

Volume and Surface Distribution Heterogeneity of Nano-pore in Coal Samples by CO2 and N2 Adsorption Experiments

In this paper,the heterogeneity of adsorption pores in middle and high rank coal samples were analyzed by using low temperature N2 and CO2 adsorption technology and fractal theory.The following results were achieved.1)According to the results of volume and surface fractal dimension,meso-pores can be classified into Mep-1,Mep-2,and Mep-3,respectively.Micro-pore can be classified into Mip-1,Mip-2,and Mip-3,respectively.2)Pore types play an important role in affecting the heterogeneity of meso-pores.The volume heterogeneity(VHY)of Mep-1 is simpler than that of Mep-2 and Mep-3 in type A samples.However,the VHY of Mep-1 becomes gradually larger than that of Mep-2 and Mep-3 from type A to type B and C.The VHY of open pore in the same diameter is higher than that of semi-open or closed pore.Meanwhile,the surface heterogeneity(SHY)of types A and B samples is significantly larger than that of type C,the SHY of semi-open or closed pores is more complicated than that of open pores.3)Coal rank mainly affects the heterogeneity of micro-pores.The heterogeneity of type A is always smaller than that of type B and C.The VHY of Mip-1 is more complicated than that of Mip-2 and Mip-3 in the same samples,and the sensitivity of the VHY of Mip-1 and Mip-2 to the degree of coal rank is smaller than that of Mip-3.Meanwhile,the SHY of Mip-1 and Mip-2 is simpler than that of Mip-3 in the same sample,the SHY of micro-pores remains stable as the pore size decreases,and the affect of coalification level on SHY decreases with the decrease in pore diameter.Full-scale fractal characterization has enabled quantitative characterization of adsorption pore properties and provided useful information with regards to the similarity of pore features in different coal reservoirs.

Carbon emissions from land use(ELUC)are an important part of anthropogenic CO_(2) emissions,but its size and location remain uncertain,and our knowledge of the relationship between ELUC and GDP remains partial.We showed that the carbon emissions directly caused by land use change(direct ELUC)during 1992-2015 was 26.54 Pg C(1.15 Pg C yr^(-1)),with a decreased trend and a net reduction rate of0.15 Pg C yr^(-1).The areas that exhibited reductions were concentrated in South America,Central Africa,and Southeast Asia,and those with increments were scattered in Northwestern North America,Eastern South America,Central Africa,East Asia,and parts of Southeast Asia.For the indirect carbon emissions from the utilization of built-up land(indirect ELUC),it manifested an upward trend with a total emission of 27.51 Pg C(1.2 Pg C yr^(-1)).The total value resulted by global ELUC was $136.3×10^(9) US,and the value of annual was equivalent to 3.7 times the GDP of the Central African Republic in 2015($5.93×10^(9) US yr^(-1)).Among the 79 countries and regions considered in this study,54 represented the upward GDP with increased emissions,and only 25 experienced GDP growth with emission reductions.These findings highlight the pivotal role of land use change in the carbon cycle and the significance of coordinated development between GDP and carbon emissions.

Accelerated discovery of novel high-performance zinc-ion battery cathode materials by combining high-throughput screening and experiments

Aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have attracted much attention in recent years due to their high safety,low cost,and decent electrochemical performance.However,the traditional electrodes development process requires tedious synthesis and testing procedures,which reduces the efficiency of developing highperformance battery devices.Here,we proposed a high-throughput screening strategy based on firstprinciples calculations to aid the experimental development of high-performance spinel cathode materials for AZIBs.We obtained 14 spinel materials from 12,047 Mn/Zn-O based materials by examining their structures and whether they satisfy the basic properties of electrodes.Then their band structures and density of states,open circuit voltage and volume expansion rate,ionic diffusion coefficient and energy barrier were further evaluated by first-principles calculations,resulting in five potential candidates.One of the promising candidates identified,Mg_(2)MnO_(4),was experimentally synthesized,characterized and integrated into an AZIB based cell to verify its performance as a cathode.The Mg_(2)MnO_(4)cathode exhibits excellent cycling stability,which is consistent with the theoretically predicted low volume expansion.Moreover,at high current density,the Mg_(2)MnO_(4)cathode still exhibits high reversible capacity and excellent rate performance,indicating that it is an excellent cathode material for AZIBs.Our work provides a new approach to accelerate the development of high-performance cathodes for AZIBs and other ion batteries.

课堂视频镜头边界检测对教学评价具有重要意义。针对教学视频视觉信息变化不明显、镜头边界信息不足、检测结果不利于教学评价等问题,引入注意力机制,提出了基于视觉和文本特征描述学习的课堂视频镜头边界检测方法。首先,提出了层次视觉Transformer模型学习教学评价关注的屏幕、教师和学生等感兴趣区域的视觉特征。其次,提出了层次文本Transformer模型从屏幕和语音文本中学习教学评价关注的文本特征。最后,构建基于二值交叉熵的镜头分类和边界检测损失函数。在数据集CLShots上的实验结果表明,本文方法在准确率、召回率、F1分数和平均交并比等指标比当前先进的教学镜头检测方法SBLV分别提高了23.3%、22.4%、22%和35.7%,比通用领域深度学习方法TransNet V2分别提高了13.8%、14.5%、14.3%和21.3%。

深交所“互动易”和上交所“上证e互动”平台的上线,为上市公司与投资者之间的信息沟通提供了更加直接和快捷的渠道,但也可能会加剧信息传播的不平衡性,在互联网信息爆炸的现实背景下产生大量“噪音”信息。文章利用投资者与上市公司的互动问答数据,检验了网络平台互动对上市公司股票异质性风险的影响及其机制。研究发现,网络平台互动会放大投资者意见分歧,加剧上市公司的股票异质性风险。而卖空限制的放松、公司信息透明度的提高以及金融机构投资者持股,能够显著抑制网络平台互动加剧股票异质性风险的作用。文章丰富了股票异质性风险驱动因素和网络平台互动影响效应的研究,而且对于投资者、上市公司和监管层都具有重要的启示。
