Overexpression of NK2 inhibits liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy in mice

AIM： To investigate the in vivo effects of NK2 on liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy （PH）. METHODs： survival after PH was observed with 21 NK2 transgenic mice and 23 wild-type （WT） mice over 10 d. Liver regeneration was analyzed using histology and immunohistochemistry. Expressions of genes were analyzed using Northern blot analysis, immunoprecipitation and immunoblotting, and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction assay. Kaplan Meier method and the log-rank test were used for analyzing the survival after PH. Differences in the results of immunohistochemistry and percentage of liver regeneration was determined by the student＇s t-test. REsULTs： More than half of NK2 transgenic mice died within 48 h after PH. After PH, increased deposition of small lipid droplets in hepatocytes was evident and hepatic proliferation was inhibited in NK2 transgenic mice. The hepatic expression and kinase activity of HGF receptor, c-Met, were unchanged among WT mice and NK2 transgenic mice after PH. The expression of tumor necrosis factor-co （TNF-c0 and interleukin-6 （IL-6） in liver tissues were prolonged in NK2 transgenic mice that died after PH. CONCLUsION： Our findings indicate that overexpression of NK2 inhibits liver regeneration after PH.

This paper describes the orbit design of the deployable payload Rover 2 of MINERVA-II,installed on the Hayabusa2 *** Rover 2 did not have surface exploration capabilities,the operation team decided to experiment with a new strategy for its deployment to the *** rover was ejected at a high altitude and made a semi-hard landing on the surface of the asteroid Ryugu after several *** on the orbital analysis around Ryugu,the expected collision speed was tolerable for the rover to function *** the rover could not control its position,its motion was entirely governed by the initial ***,the largest challenge was to insert the rover into a stable orbit(despite its large release uncertainty),and avoid its escape from Ryugu due to an environment strongly perturbed by solar radiation pressure and gravitational *** study investigates the solution space of the orbit around Ryugu and evaluates the orbit’s robustness by utilizing Monte Carlo simulations to determine the orbit insertion *** analyzing the flight data of the rover operation,we verified that the rover orbited Ryugu for more than one period and established the possibility of a novel method for estimating the gravity of an asteroid.

Field measurements of absolute gravity in East Antarctica

This paper reports the results of field-based absolute gravity measurements aimed at detecting gravity change and crustal displacement caused by glacial isostatic adjustment. The project was initiated within the framework of the 53rd Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition （JARE53）. Absolute gravity measurements, together with GPs measurements, were planned at several outcrops along the Prince Olav Coast and s6ya Coast of East Antarctica, including at syowa station. since the icebreaker shirase （AGB 5003） was unable to moor alongside syowa station, operations were somewhat restricted during JARE53. However, despite this setback, we were able to complete measurements at two sites： syowa station and Langhovde. The absolute gravity value at the syowa station IAGBN （A） site, observed using an FG-5 absolute gravimeter （serial number 210; FG-5 #210）, was 982 524 322.7＋0.1 ktGal, and the gravity change rate at the beginning of 2012 was -0.26 gGal.a-1. An absolute gravity value of 982 535 584.2~0.7 ktGal was obtained using a portable A-10 absolute gravimeter （serial number 017; A-10 #017） at the newly located site AGs01 in Langhovde.

本文主要基于日方史料,对近代日中关系恶化过程中,自认为"和平旗手"的日本基督徒的言行变化加以考察。近代日中两国的基督教都源起于欧美传教士的传播,进入20世纪,两国基督教开始共同面对"独立"的课题,并在"爱""和平"等信仰之下,逐渐展开多方面的交流。不过,随着九一八事变、卢沟桥事变的爆发,两国基督教的交流变质为日本基督徒对中国的"教化",现实中日本对中国的政治、经济统治也被解释为"神的意志"。与此同时,"本土化"的"日本式基督教"日益形成,并强调自身的优越性,使得作为世界性、普遍性宗教的基督教在日本急剧"民族化"。在日本侵略中国乃至全亚洲的过程中,"日本式基督教"最终发展为"兴亚神学""大东亚神学"。主导这一过程的并非少数极端分子而是日本基督教的主流派,因此这可以被视为一场信仰层面的、心灵层面的侵略战争。

BACKGROUND We recently reported on a hereditary enteropathy associated with a gene encoding a prostaglandin transporter and referred to as chronic enteropathy associated with sLCO2 A1 gene(CEAs). Crohn's disease(CD) is a major differential diagnosis of CEAs, because these diseases share some clinical features. Therefore, there is a need to develop a convenient screening test to distinguish CEAs from *** To examine whether prostaglandin E major urinary metabolites(PGE-MUM) can serve as a biomarker to distinguish CEAs from *** This was a transactional study of 20 patients with CEAs and 98 patients with *** was diagnosed by the confirmation of homozygous or compound heterozygous mutation of sLCO2 A1. We measured the concentration of PGEMUM in spot urine by radioimmunoassay, and the concentration was compared between the two groups of patients. We also determined the optimal cut-off value of PGE-MUM to distinguish CEAs from CD by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve *** Twenty Japanese patients with CEAs and 98 patients with CD were ***-MUM concentration in patients with CEAs was significantly higher than that in patients with CD(median 102.7 vs 27.9 μg/g × Cre, P se in PGE-MUM contributed to 7.3 increase in the likelihood for the diagnosis of CEAs [95% confidence interval(CI) 3.2-16.7]. A logistic regression analysis revealed that the association was significant even after adjusting confounding factors(adjusted odds ratio 29.6, 95%CI 4.7-185.7). ROC curve analysis revealed the optimal PGE-MUM cut-off value for the distinction of CEAs from CD to be 48.9 μg/g × Cre with 95.0% sensitivity and 79.6% *** PGE-MUM measurement is a convenient, non-invasive and useful test for the distinction of CEAs from CD.
