Buildings with large open spaces in which chemicals are handled are often exposed to the risk of explosions.Computational fluid dynamics is a useful and convenient way to investigate contaminant dispersion in such large spaces.The turbulent Schmidt number(Sc_(t))concept has typically been used in this regard,and most studies have adopted a default value.We studied the concentration distribution for sulfur hexafluoride(SF_(6))assuming different emission rates and considering the effect of Sc_(t).Then we examined the same problem for a light gas by assuming hydrogen gas(H_(2))as the contaminant.When SF_(6) was considered as the contaminant gas,a variation in the emission rate completely changed the concentration distribution.When the emission rate was low,the gravitational effect did not take place.For both low and high emission rates,an increase in S_(ct) accelerated the transport rate of SF_(6).In contrast,for H_(2) as the contaminant gas,a larger S_(ct) could induce a decrease in the H_(2) transport rate.

Mechanics of Aquitard Drainage by Aquifer-System Compaction and Its Implications for Water-Management in the North China Plain

The deformation of aquitard is the main contribution to land subsidence in the North China Plain, and the water released from aquitard compaction may be a large portion of the exploited groundwater. In this study, the consolidation test was employed to understand the mechanics on the drainage and deformation of aquitard. The results suggested the strain of aquitard mainly resulted from the difference of hydraulic head between aquifers. And it was decreased with depth of aquitard at the same hydrodynamic pressure. In contrast with the interbed within aquifers, the aquitard was deformable when it was compressed. The weakly bound water was significantly released when the void ratio was about 0.44–0.45, and the EC of water released from the aquitard was decreased with the compacting process. The data from the consolidation test suggested that the pumping of groundwater from aquifer III might be less contribution to the land subsidence with respect to other aquifers in the future.

For the increasingly serious soil and groundwater pollution by volatile organic compounds, tetrachloroethylene（PCE） was selected as the research object in this study. With the in-situ soil column physical simulation experiments, migration law of PCE in soil under rain conditions was studied by monitoring precipitation and soil parameter as well as sampling and analyzing soil and soil gas, and influence of rain on the multiphase migration process of PCE was preliminarily discussed. Research shows that migrations of PCE and soil moisture were not synchronous, and the rate of the former was speeded up by the latter caused by rain. Preliminary analysis indicates that migration of volatile chlorohydrocarbon in soil was not only driven by soil moisture, but also controlled by the nature of volatility of their own, that is to say, volatilization into gas phase was an important way of migrating and diffusing in pore medium, and the rate of migration and diffusion of gaseous PCE was faster than that of solid, resulting in more abroad distribution of gas phase than that in solid phase.

Spatiotemporal Evolution Characteristics Study on the Precipitation Infiltration Recharge over the Past 50 Years in the North China Plain

The spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of precipitation infiltration recharge during the past 50 years are discussed in this paper. This research is significant for groundwater resource rational utilization. The distribution of precipitation infiltration recharge coefficients in the 1960 s, 1980 s, and 2000 s can be obtained using unsaturated zone lithology and depth to water table at different times. The amount of precipitation infiltration recharge in the 1960 s, 1980 s, and 2000 s can be calculated using precipitation infiltration recharge coefficients and precipitation data from the Ministry of Water Resources of China. Results show that the change in the precipitation infiltration recharge coefficient is closely related to the water table decrease. From the 1960 s to the 1980 s, the precipitation infiltration recharge coefficient clearly increased in all units. From the 1980 s to the 2000 s, the value slightly increased in the ancient Yellow River alluvial-proluvial and eastern alluvial-marine plains and slightly decreased in the piedmont alluvial-proluvial and central alluvial-lacustrine plains. The piedmont alluvial-proluvial and ancient Yellow River alluvial-proluvial plains exhibited a large precipitation infiltration recharge coefficient for the coarse lithology. The amounts of precipitation infiltration recharges were 16.23×109（1960s）, 19.11×109（1980s）, and 19.42×109 m3/a（2000s）. The amount of precipitation infiltration recharge increased from the 1960 s to the 1980 s then decreased from the 1980 s to the 2000 s in the piedmont alluvial-proluvial and the central alluvial-lacustrine plains. However, this value increased from the 1960 s to the 2000 s in the ancient Yellow River alluvial-proluvial and eastern alluvial-marine plains.

微藻能源是最具潜力的第三代生物质能源,将废物处理的微藻用于制氢,能够在增强废物资源化利用的同时提升生物制氢的经济效益与环境效益。为优化微藻生物制氢的方式并提升生产效益,基于光伏供能情境,采用光—暗发酵相结合的方式进行了微藻生物氢的制取,并分析了不同光—暗联合下微藻的制氢效果和固碳减排效果,最后核算了废物处理产生的经济效益和生物制氢的生产潜力。研究结果表明:①微藻光发酵制氢具有较好的固碳减排效果,每生产1 kg氢气,光发酵的固碳减排量为0.89 kgCO_(2),相较于暗发酵高0.46 kgCO_(2);②暗发酵制氢具有较好的经济效益,每生产1 kg氢气,暗发酵制氢的经济效益为61.56元,相较于光发酵高61.01元;③将光—暗发酵相结合,单个周期可生产41.23 kg氢气,实现固碳减排54.61 kgCO_(2),产生经济效益为2560.52元。结论认为:①采用TP5类(自养时间7 d、异养时间9 d,微藻最终浓度为54 g/L)周期下微藻增殖量进行的光—暗发酵制氢,实现了固碳减排与经济效益并存,相比于其他组合具有更好的生产效果,更适合用于规模化扩大生产;②光—暗发酵联合制氢是基于微藻增殖所进行的,应依据藻种特性优化制氢环境,对制氢比例与制氢方式做出调整,以加强微藻生物质能源开发,不断扩展微藻生物制氢的发展前景。

Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are vital regulators in tumorigenesis and metastasis.However,the pathological role of lncRNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is still unclear.In this study,we filtered out three lncRNAs from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)data that were screened for basic expression and clinical research.We selected lncRNA-NEAT1 for further study to explore its function in HCC progression and its regulatory mechanism.We identified three differentially expressed lncRNAs(DElncRNAs)in tumor and adjacent normal tissues from the TCGA library using data mining methods:lncRNA-NEAT1,lncRNA-MAGI2-AS3 and lncRNA-HCG11.Their basic expression levels were detected by qPCR.Then,we selected lncRNA-NEAT1 as a potentially important lncRNA to verity its biological function and mechanism in HCC cell lines.lncRNA-NEAT1,lncRNA-MAGI2-AS3 and lncRNA-HCG11 were overexpressed in liver cancer tissues and cell lines.We found that silencing NEAT1 in vitro can inhibit the proliferation of HuH-7 and Li-7 cells,inhibit cell migration,and induce apoptosis as well as significantly increase the level of miR-16-5p.We also confirmed that miR-16-5p has a significant correlation with Bcl-2.When NEAT1 is silenced,the expression of Bcl-2 decreases.Inhibiting miR-16-5p can restore Bcl-2 to its original level.We conclude that miR-16-5p1/lncRNA NEAT1 plays a crucial role in regulating the delivery of Bcl-2 in HCC.Overall,the miR-16-5p/lncRNA-NEAT1/Bcl-2 signaling axis may be a promising target for HCC treatment.

Organic Contamination of Soil and Goundwater in the Piedimont Plain of the Taihang Mountains

The risk of groundwater contamination following the infiltration of waste surface water, is of great interest, particularly in areas experiencing water shortage. In this study, the distribution characteristics of contaminants along the Cihe River, in the piedimont plain of the Taihang Mountains, China, was investigated by measuring the soil and water samples. The main organic contaminants detected in different media include hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and pesticides. The main contaminants found in different media are mostly derived from the river water, which can be seen from the results of waste water from the river and groundwater, from the soil samples from different depth and distance of the profiles along the river. The distribution characteristics showed that there has been a natural attenuation of the contaminants from the river during their transportation through the soils and groundwater. The sorption of organic compounds to soil organic matter is thought to be a main mechanism of natural attenuation.
