Application of surfactant for improving leaching process of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WREOs)in China are the main source of medium and heavy rare earths in the *** order to improve the seepage and the mass transfer of traditional ammonium salt leaching process of WREOs,surfactants were added in the ammonium sulfate leaching solution and the ammonium chloride leaching *** leaching kinetics,the mass transfer process,and the adhesion work reduction factor calculated from the interfacial properties were studied to reveal the strengthening mechanism of *** the presence of the tested five surfactants,cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(DTAB),sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),sodium oleate and oleic acid,the permeability of WREOs is improved,the rare earth(RE)leaching efficiency increase and the impurity aluminum(Al)leaching efficiency decrease,indicating its promotional effect on the leaching process of ***,CTAB shows a better leaching enhancement,and the optimal addition dosage is 0.4 g/L for the two ammonium salt leaching agent *** kinetics analysis shows the internal diffusion controls model of RE and Al leaching process,and the leaching kinetics equations of RE and Al related to CTAB concentration were obtained for the two ammonium salt leaching *** to the chromatographic plate theory,the mass transfer efficiency of RE increases with the CTAB concentration increasing until 0.4 g/L,which confirms that the optimal CTAB addition is 0.4 g/*** adhesion work and adhesion work reduction factor indicate more favorable permeation as well as the leaching process.

Experimental Study on the Molten Salt at Micron Scale during the Melting Process

The investigation of the melting behaviors of the molten salt at micron scale during the melting process is critical for explaining the solid-liquid phase transition *** this paper,a novel experimental system and analysis method were proposed to study the melting process with three heating rates in the range of1-10℃/min of the solar salt at micron *** solid-liquid boundary morphology and phase transition kinetics of molten salt particles were focused ***,the correlations between liquid fraction,temperature and time under different heating rates were *** solid-liquid boundary morphology was depicted by the visualized experimental set-up,and the instantaneous liquid volume fraction during the non-isothermal phase transition was ***,the correlation between temperature and liquid volume fraction was proposed to reveal the evolution of the solid-liquid boundary with temperature at different heating ***,the non-isothermal phase transition kinetic equation was established by introducing a constant parameter(V_(a,b)),and more kinetic parameters such as 1g V_(a,b) and-lg V_(a,b)/b were *** results showed that the exponent b is not sensitive to the heating rate with a range of 3-5 for solar salt ***,the heating rate influences the value of V_(a,b) and presents a positive ***,the non-isothermal phase transition kinetic equations at different heating rates in the range of 1-10℃/min can be quickly predicted by the proposed improved experimental test *** study could fill the research insufficiency and provide significant guidance for future research on the solid-liquid transition mechanism of molten salts at micron scale.

The crossmodal interaction of different senses,which is an important basis for learning and memory in the human brain,is highly desired to be mimicked at the device level for developing neuromorphic crossmodal perception,but related researches are ***,we demonstrate an optoelectronic synapse for vision-olfactory crossmodal perception based on MXene/violet phosphorus(VP)van der Waals *** from the efficient separation and transport of photogenerated carriers facilitated by conductive MXene,the photoelectric responsivity of VP is dramatically enhanced by 7 orders of magnitude,reaching up to 7.7 A W^(−1).Excited by ultraviolet light,multiple synaptic functions,including excitatory postsynaptic currents,pairedpulse facilitation,short/long-term plasticity and“learning-experience”behavior,were demonstrated with a low power ***,the proposed optoelectronic synapse exhibits distinct synaptic behaviors in different gas environments,enabling it to simulate the interaction of visual and olfactory information for crossmodal *** work demonstrates the great potential of VP in optoelectronics and provides a promising platform for applications such as virtual reality and neurorobotics.

The response of structure and nitrogen removal function of the biofilm on submerged macrophytes to high ammonium in constructed wetlands

The ammonium exceedance discharge from sewage treatment plants has a great risk to the stable operation of subsequent constructed wetlands(CWs).The effects of high ammonium shocks on submerged macrophytes and epiphytic biofilms on the leaves of submerged macrophytes in CWs were rarely mentioned in previous *** this paper,the 16S rRNA sequencing method was used to investigate the variation of the microbial communities in biofilms on the leaves of Vallisneria natans plants while the growth characteristics of *** plants were measured at different initial ammonium *** results demonstrated that the total chlorophyll and soluble sugar synthesis of *** plants decreased by 51.45%and 57.16%,respectively,and malondialdehyde content increased threefold after8 days if the initial NH_(4)^(+)-N concentration was more than 5 mg/*** density,bacterial quantity,dissolved oxygen,and pH increased with high ammonium *** average removal efficiencies of total nitrogen and NH_(4)^(+)-N reached 73.26%and 83.94%,*** heat map and relative abundance analysis represented that the relative abundances of phyla Proteobacteria,Cyanobacteria,and Bacteroidetes *** numbers of autotrophic nitrifiers and heterotrophic nitrification aerobic denitrification(HNAD)bacteria expanded in *** particular,HNAD bacteria of Flavobacterium,Hydrogenophaga,Acidovorax,Acinetobacter,Pseudomonas,Aeromonas,and Azospira had higher abundances than autotrophic nitrifiers because there were organic matters secreted from declining leaves of *** *** analysis of the nitrogen metabolic pathway showed aerobic denitrification was the main nitrogen removal ***,the nitrification and denitrification bacterial communities increased in epiphytic biofilms on submerged macrophytes in constructed wetlands while submerged macrophytes declined under ammonium shock loading.

Study on the flow structure in curved open channels with suspended vegetation using multi relaxation time lattice Boltzmann method

Suspended vegetation in rivers,lakes,reservoirs and canals can change flow structure,which will in turn affect the sediment transport and cause the variation of water ecological *** order to study the characteristics of bend flow through suspended vegetation,three-dimensional numerical simulations are carried out by using the multi-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann method(MRT-LBM).The drag force induced by vegetation is added in the velocity correction in the equilibrium distribution and a hybrid format combined bounce and specular reflection scheme is applied in the solid-fluid *** the validation of this model,six cases are designed to conduct the numerical simulations according to the root depth and the arrangement of *** simulated results show that the suspended vegetation can redistribute the flow structure in curved open *** the arrangement of suspended vegetation,the main flow moves to the side without vegetation,and the distribution of velocity tends to be balanced when vegetation is arranged on the entire cross section,the range of circulating current is reduced from the whole cross section to the local position without vegetation,however,the circulating current can still exist in the curve where the suspended vegetation enters less than half of the water *** addition,it can also be concluded that the suspended vegetation can affect the lateral gradient of flow velocity,and the bed shear stress in the curved channel.

Effect of Low-Temperature Thermal Oxidation on the Capillary Performance of Sintered Copper Powder Wicks

In this study,a composite powder capillary wick is prepared,manufactured by sintering copper powder and surface treated by low-temperature thermal *** is used to improve the performance of the capillary *** forced flow method and infrared imaging method are used to test the permeability and capillary performance of the *** effects of different oxidation temperatures on the performance of capillary wick are *** experimental results show that the wetting performance of the oxidized samples is significantly *** the increase of oxidation temperature,the permeability *** capillary height and velocity of the thermally oxidized samples are significantly higher than those of the untreated capillary ***,the oxidation temperature needs to be adjusted to obtain the best capillary *** highest capillary performance is found at oxidation temperature of 300℃,with an increase of 46% compared to the untreated *** with other composite wicks show that the sample with an oxidation temperature of 300℃ has competitive capillary performance,making it a favorable alternative to two-phase heat transfer *** study shows that combining low-temperature thermal oxidation technology with powder sintering is a convenient and effective method to improve the capillary performance of powder wicks.

Study on trifluoromethanesulfonic acid-promoted synthesis of daidzein: Process optimization and reaction mechanism

Daidzein has been widely used in pharmaceuticals,nutraceuticals,cosmetics,feed additives,*** preparation process and related reaction mechanism need to be further investigated.A cost-effective process for synthesizing daidzein was developed in this *** this article,a two-step synthesis of daidzein(Friedel–Crafts acylation and[5+1]cyclization)was developed via the employment of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid(TfOH)as an effective promoting *** effect of reaction conditions such as solvent,the amount of TfOH,reaction temperature,and reactant ratio on the conversion rate and the yield of the reaction,respectively,was systematically investigated,and daidzein was obtained in 74.0%isolated yield under optimal *** to the facilitating effect of TfOH,the Friedel–Crafts acylation was completed within 10 min at 90℃ and the[5+1]cyclization was completed within 180 min at 25℃.In addition,a possible reaction mechanism for this process was *** results of the study may provide useful guidance for industrial production of daidzein on a large scale.

What can we learn from recent 2νββexperiments?

Recent measurements of the two neutrino double beta decay high precision electron spectra,combined with charge exchange orβ-decay experimental data,have revealed severe constraints across current nuclear many body *** calculations show that the quasi-particle random phase approximation(QRPA)approach can adequately reproduce the measured spectra for the two open shell nuclei,^(82)Se and ^(100)*** the closed shell nucleus ^(136)Xe,QRPA can also reproduce the spectra with proper *** the high-lying state reduction,we also find that the nuclear shell model can also adequately reproduce the spectra and Gamow-Teller transition strength under a unique quenched axial-vector coupling constant *** ^(136)Xe,we find that flipping the sign for the decay strength causes the spectra to go beyond the so-called high-lying state dominance *** results call for future high precision measurements of charge-exchange reactions.

This paper considers stock halts to study the impact of stock liquidity loss on the managerial learning effect based on stock *** examine stock halts’impact on corporate innovation and find that discretionary halts hinder *** also find that discretionary halts reduce information quality and increase financial constraints and agent ***-sectional tests show that this negative impact is more pronounced in samples with high shareholding ratios by large shareholders,institutional investors and private *** results indicate that the loss of non-institutional stock trading rights,represented by discretionary stock halts,affects revelatory price efficiency in the secondary market,hinders managers’learning effect and affects enterprises’production and operation *** findings have policy implications for stock circulation-right protection and Chinese capital-market reform.

Efficient charge relay steering in Pd nanoparticles coupled with the heterojunction for boosting CO_(2)photoreduction to C_(2)H_(6)

Solar-driven CO_(2)conversion to prepare value-added products is highly desirable but *** to the achievement of multi-carbon products via CO_(2)photoconversion is to break the bottlenecks of C-C coupling and multi-electron ***,a charge relay system consisting of Pd-decorated BiOCl-wrapped CuBi_(2)O_(4)is reported by taking advantage of the synergy of Pd nanoparticles(PdNPs)and heterojunction for efficient CO_(2)-to-C_(2)H_(6)*** C_(2)H_(6)production rate reached 167.1µmol g^(-1)h^(-1)with the electron selectivity of 81.1%in the absence of any sacrificial *** spectroscopic characterizations indicated that BiOCl nanosheets,acting as the charge relay,directionally transferred the photogenerated electrons from itself and CuBi2O4 nanorods to PdNPs for C-C *** coordinated ensemble of PdNPs and heterojunction significantly elevated the charge separation and transfer ***,the in-situ spectroscopic analysis supported by theoretical simulations demonstrated that the electron-rich PdNPs generated by the charge relay of PdNPs and heterojunction optimized the CO_(2)-to-C_(2)H_(6)reaction pathway and reduced the energy barrier of the key*CHOCO *** work develops an innovative strategy to design the multifunctional catalysts for the photoconversion of CO_(2)to value-added carbon products.
