A highly sensitive light-induced thermoelectric spectroscopy(LITES)sensor based on a multi-pass cell(MPC)with dense spot pattern and a novel quartz tuning fork(QTF)with low resonance frequency is reported in this manuscript.An erbi-um-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA)was employed to amplify the output optical power so that the signal level was further enhanced.The optical path length(OPL)and the ratio of optical path length to volume(RLV)of the MPC is 37.7 m and 13.8 cm^(-2),respectively.A commercial QTF and a self-designed trapezoidal-tip QTF with low frequency of 9461.83 Hz were used as the detectors of the sensor,respectively.The target gas selected to test the performance of the system was acetylene(C2H2).When the optical power was constant at 1000 mW,the minimum detection limit(MDL)of the C2H2-LITES sensor can be achieved 48.3 ppb when using the commercial QTF and 24.6 ppb when using the trapezoid-al-tip QTF.An improvement of the detection performance by a factor of 1.96 was achieved after replacing the commer-cial QTF with the trapezoidal-tip QTF.

Engineering Strategies for Suppressing the Shuttle Effect in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries are supposed to be one of the most potential next-generation batteries owing to their high theoretical capacity and low cost.Nevertheless,the shuttle effect of firm multi-step two-electron reaction between sulfur and lithium in liquid electrolyte makes the capacity much smaller than the theoretical value.Many methods were proposed for inhibiting the shuttle effect of polysulfide,improving corresponding redox kinetics and enhancing the integral performance of Li–S batteries.Here,we will comprehensively and systematically summarize the strategies for inhibiting the shuttle effect from all components of Li–S batteries.First,the electrochemical principles/mechanism and origin of the shuttle effect are described in detail.Moreover,the efficient strategies,including boosting the sulfur conversion rate of sulfur,confining sulfur or lithium polysulfides(LPS)within cathode host,confining LPS in the shield layer,and preventing LPS from contacting the anode,will be discussed to suppress the shuttle effect.Then,recent advances in inhibition of shuttle effect in cathode,electrolyte,separator,and anode with the aforementioned strategies have been summarized to direct the further design of efficient materials for Li–S batteries.Finally,we present prospects for inhibition of the LPS shuttle and potential development directions in Li–S batteries.

Two-dimensional(2D) layered materials are assembled through the intralayer covalent bonds and interlayer van der Waals(vdWs) interactions. The relatively weak interlayer vdWs interactions result in the weak interlayer mechanical coupling between layers, which strongly impacts the overall mechanical properties of multilayer 2D materials or heterostructures. Experimentally probing the interlayer mechanical coupling is of vital importance on the accumulation of fundamental parameters for their applications in flexible and stretchable devices, yet there are hardly comprehensive reviews in this research field. In this review, we firstly introduce the probing methods of interlayer mechanical coupling, including high-frequency and ultralow-frequency Raman characterizations,nanoindentation of multilayer 2D materials or heterostructures, surface indentation, pressurized blister test,characterization of spontaneously formed nanoblisters, and nano-friction tests. Based on the analysis and comparison of the existing methods and results, we also discuss the advantages and limitations of each method.Finally, the challenges and opportunities in this promising field are discussed. This review summarizes the recent progress in the probing of interlayer mechanical coupling of 2D layered materials and will provide important reference for the rational design of flexible and stretchable devices.

Metasurfaces with spin-selective transmission play an increasingly critical role in realizing optical chiral responses,especially for strong intrinsic chirality,which is limited to complex three-dimensional geometry.In this paper,we propose a planar metasurface capable of generating maximal intrinsic chirality and achieving dual-band spinselective transmission utilizing dual quasi-bound states in the continuum(quasi-BICs)caused by the structural symmetry breaking.Interestingly,the value of circular dichroism(CD)and the transmittance of two kinds of circular polarization states can be arbitrarily controlled by tuning the asymmetry parameter.Remarkable CD approaching unity with the maximum transmittance up to 0.95 is experimentally achieved in the dual band.Furthermore,assisted by chiral BICs,the application in polarization multiplexed near-field image display is also exhibited.Our work provides a new avenue to flexibly control intrinsic chirality in planar structure and offers an alternative strategy to develop chiral sensing,multiband spin-selective transmission,and high-performance circularly polarized wave detection.The basic principle and design method of our experiments in the microwave regime can be extended to other bands,such as the terahertz and infrared wavelengths.

税收是广东革命政权财政改善的基础。广东革命政权税收整理历程可分为三个阶段:两次护法运动时期受限于地方军阀,仅对少数税项尝试争夺;陆海军大元帅大本营时期,各军阀把持税收,大本营政府真正控制的税源只有部分盐税、印花税、常关税和广州及其附近县域的杂税;随着广东军政统一,广州国民政府统一税收,并进行税政改革、开征新税,税收收入不断增长。广东革命政权的税收政策具有极强的现实主义特点,并在革命进程中逐渐建立起具有中央集权属性的税收体系,税收能力极大提升,为出师北伐提供了财政支持,也为后续南京国民政府初期的财政政策提供了历史经验。

The flying foxes optimization(FFO)algorithm,as a newly introduced metaheuristic algorithm,is inspired by the survival tactics of flying foxes in heat wave environments.FFO preferentially selects the best-performing individuals.This tendency will cause the newly generated solution to remain closely tied to the candidate optimal in the search area.To address this issue,the paper introduces an opposition-based learning-based search mechanism for FFO algorithm(IFFO).Firstly,this paper introduces niching techniques to improve the survival list method,which not only focuses on the adaptability of individuals but also considers the population’s crowding degree to enhance the global search capability.Secondly,an initialization strategy of opposition-based learning is used to perturb the initial population and elevate its quality.Finally,to verify the superiority of the improved search mechanism,IFFO,FFO and the cutting-edge metaheuristic algorithms are compared and analyzed using a set of test functions.The results prove that compared with other algorithms,IFFO is characterized by its rapid convergence,precise results and robust stability.

为探究从源头抑制角区分离的流动控制方法,采用数值模拟方法,以NACA65叶栅为研究对象,利用叶栅前缘端壁吸气技术控制马蹄涡,结合拓扑分析对叶栅通道内的三维流动结构进行精确重构,以研究前缘端壁吸气控制马蹄涡进而改善叶栅通道流场结构的机理。结果表明:叶栅前缘端壁吸气技术可以有效推迟马蹄涡形成并削弱其强度,同时在吸气狭缝末端形成一对反旋流向涡对,在向下游发展过程中与通道涡相互作用;前缘端壁吸气通过控制马蹄涡,降低端壁边界层厚度,叶栅前缘通道涡发展受限,由回流组成的叶表分离被抑制;前缘及压力面侧吸气(EPS)直接作用于马蹄涡压力面分支,通道涡强度进一步被削弱,角区分离模式由闭式分离转为不完全闭式分离。最后,对比最优吸气系数下不同方案出口总压损失,发现当吸气量为进口质量流量的0.2%时,EPS方案出口截面总压损失降低5.8%;并且通过调整吸气系数,可以获得较好的变工况控制性能。

Background:Limited by difficulties in early detection and availabilities of effective treatments,pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant disease with poor prognosis.Nuclear receptors are a family of ligand‐dependent transcription factors that are highly druggable therapeutic targets playing critical roles in human physiological and pathological development,including cancer.In this study,we explored the therapeutic potential as well as the molecular mechanisms of liver X receptor(LXR)agonist GW3965 in pancreatic cancer.Methods:Soft‐agar colony formation assay,xenograft tumors,Oligonucleotide microarray,Reverse transcription real‐time polymerase chain reaction,Western immunoblotting and Immunohistochemistry were used in this study.Results:We demonstrated pleotropic in vitro activities of GW3965 in pancreatic cell lines MIA PaCa‐2 and BXPC3 including reduction of cell viability,inhibition of cell proliferation,stimulation of cell death,and suppression of colony formation,which translated to significant inhibition of xenograft tumor growth in vitro.By mapping the gene expression profiles,we identified the up‐regulations of 188 and the down‐regulations of 92 genes common to both cell lines following GW3965 treatment.Genes responsive to GW3965 represent a variety of biological pathways vital for multiple cellular functions.Specifically,we identified that the activating transcription factor 4/thioredoxin‐interacting protein/regulated in development and DNA damage responses 1/mechanistic target of rapamycin(ATF4/TXNIP/REDD1/mTOR)signaling critically controls GW3965‐mediated regulation of cell proliferation/death.The significance of the ATF4/TXNIP/REDD1/mTOR pathway was further supported by associated expressions in xenograft tumors as well as human pancreatic cancer samples.Conclusions:This study provides the pre‐clinical evidence that LXR agonist is a promising therapy for pancreatic cancer.

休谟根据语句的组成成分将事实命题与价值命题区分开来,认为两者的关系需要合理的说明。后来的哲学家沿着这一思路,将“休谟问题”深化为事实与价值的二分法。然而,理论与实践的发展不断证明事实与价值存在紧密的联系。马斯洛以当时哲学和科学领域的相关进展为基础,认为只有以科学的方式才能实现事实与价值的融通。为此,他通过一系列经验实证的方法论证了“似本能”的存在,阐述了事实的动态性、“事实创造应该”、高峰体验等理论路径,为我们描绘了一幅人在自我实现的过程中融通事实与价值的画卷。虽然马斯洛的研究存在着忽视社会历史视角等局限,但他将科学与人性相结合的思路为解决事实与价值问题以及价值论的发展提供了有益的启迪。

作为建构主义与原生主义之间的折中视角,族群象征主义的理论框架更加强调民族形成的历史性,注重从长时段的历史文化入手研究民族身份认同,因而对粤港澳大湾区语言与身份认同具有更好的解释力。香港地区语言与身份认同建构的案例,反映出语言参与当地民众集体身份认同建构是一个不断动态发展的历史过程,揭示出“香港人”的身份认同构建过程中充满复杂性、异质性与流动性的特质。在粤港澳大湾区战略视野中,应以族群象征主义为理论框架,加强粤港澳大湾区内的语言政策和语言规划,将大湾区内丰富的语言资源转化为对内建构身份认同、对外提高国际竞争力、讲好“湾区故事”的文化资本。
