Graphene-doped polymer nanofibers are fabricated by taper drawing of solvated polyvinyl alcohol doped with liquid-phase exfoliated graphene *** drawn this way typically have diameters measured in hundreds of nanometers and lengths in tens of millimeters;they show excellent uniformity and surface smoothness for optical *** to their tightly confined waveguiding behavior,light–matter interaction in these subwavelength-diameter nanofibers is significantly *** approximately 1350-nm-wavelength femto-second pulses,we demonstrate saturable absorption behavior in these nanofibers with a saturation threshold down to 0.25 pJ pulse^(-1)(peak power,1.3 W).Additionally,using 1064-nm-wavelength nanosecond pulses as switching light,we show all-optical modulation of a 1550-nm-wavelength signal light guided along a single nanofiber with a switching peak power of,3.2 W.

Consider the optimal dividend problem for an insurance company whose uncontrolled surplus precess evolves as a spectrally negative Levy process. We assume that dividends are paid to the shareholders according to admissible strategies whose dividend rate is bounded by a constant. The objective is to find a dividend policy so as to maximize the expected discounted value of dividends which are paid to the shareholders until the company is ruined. In this paper, we show that a threshold strategy （also called refraction strategy） forms an optimal strategy under the condition that the Levy measure has a completely monotone density.

This article focuses on three probability-based road network reliability indexes: connectivity reliability, travel time reliability and capacity reliability. Based on introducing the indexes respectively, the relationship of them is presented in detail. Then the problems exited in current research and the application prospects of future transportation are analyzed carefully. In addition, according to the inherent informational characteristics of future transportation, the essay reveals the shortcomings of the existing indexes and methods and points out that the comprehensive assessment of road network reliability should transform from a single index evaluation to a comprehensive evaluation with many influential factors in the future, and then refines a people-oriented research idea under the integrated assessment framework. Consequently, these notes provide some theoretical and technical support for reliability evaluation method of road network traffic under information model.

Ultrashort energetic terahertz(THz)pulses have created an exciting new area of research on light interactions with *** material studies in small laboratories,widely tunable femtosecond THz pulses with peak field strength close to MV cm-1 are ***,they can be largely acquired by optical rectification and difference frequency generation in crystals without inversion *** describe in this paper a novel scheme of THz pulse generation with no frequency tuning gap based on Raman-resonance-enhanced four-wave mixing in centrosymmetric media,particularly *** show that we could generate highly stable,few-cycle pulses with near-Gaussian spatial and temporal profiles and carrier frequency tunable from 5 to>2o *** had a stable and controllable carrier-envelop phase and carried~15 nJ energy per pulse at 10 THz(with a peak field strength of~1 MV cm^(-1)at focus)from a O.5-mm-thick *** measured THz pulse characteristics agreed well with theoretical *** merits of the scheme are discussed,including the possibility of improving the THz output energy to a much higher level.

An optimized silicon carbide(SiC)trench metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET)structure with side-wall p-type pillar(p-pillar)and wrap n-type pillar(n-pillar)in the n-drain was investigated by utilizing Silvaco TCAD *** optimized structure mainly includes a p+buried region,a light n-type current spreading layer(CSL),a p-type pillar region,and a wrapping n-type pillar region at the right and bottom of the *** improved structure is named as *** side-wall p-pillar region could better relieve the high electric field around the p+shielding region and the gate oxide in the off-state *** wrapping n-pillar region and CSL can also effectively reduce the specific on-resistance(ron,sp).As a result,the SNPPT-MOS structure exhibits that the figure of merit(Fo M)related to the breakdown voltage(V_(BR))and ron,sp(V_(BR)^2R_(on,sp))of the SNPPT-MOS is improved by 44.5%,in comparison to that of the conventional trench gate SJ MOSFET(full-SJ-MOS).In addition,the SNPPT-MOS structure achieves a much fasterwitching speed than the full-SJ-MOS,and the result indicates an appreciable reduction in the switching energy loss.
