BACKGROUND Cholesterol crystal embolization(CCE)is a multisystemic and fatal disease with multiple clinical manifestations;however,there are few cases of idiopathic *** we report a patient with idiopathic CCE accompanied by atheroembolic renal disease and blue toes who had a relatively good prognosis in the short-term due to early treatment with corticosteroids and *** SUMMARY A 76-year-old man complained of coldness,numbness and purple color change in his left foot for 7 *** had a feeling of fatigue,constipation,foamy urine,poor appetite and *** had a lacunar infarction for 5 years and hypertension for 9 *** results showed elevated eosinophils,cholesterol,uric acid,serum creatinine,urea and 24 h urine analysis revealed proteinuria.A renal biopsy revealed atheroembolic renal *** together,these findings strongly supported the diagnosis of idiopathic CCE and atheroembolic renal *** Atheroembolic renal disease and blue toes syndrome can be caused by idiopathic CCE,and early treatment with corticosteroids is effective but requires further investigation.

BACKGROUND Globally,although the jellyfish population has increased in recent years,ocular jellyfish stings remain an uncommon ophthalmic emergency,and have been rarely *** to a few previous reports,ocular jellyfish stings may cause anterior segment disorders,and most of these injuries were self-limited and spontaneously resolved within 24 to 48 *** SUMMARY A brother and sister both presented with severe fundus complications several years after ocular jellyfish stings and both had prolonged blurred *** our knowledge,such fundus lesions induced by jellyfish stings have not been reported *** The fundus status of patients following ocular jellyfish stings should be carefully monitored in cases of irreversible ocular damage.

Urine-derived stem cells(USCs)are derived from urine and harbor the potential of proliferation and multidirectional ***,USCs could be reprogrammed into pluripotent stem cells[namely urine-derived induced pluripotent stem cells(UiPSCs)]through transcription factors,such as octamer binding transcription factor 4,sex determining region Y-box 2,kruppel-like factor 4,myelocytomatosis oncogene,and Nanog homeobox and protein lin-28,in which the first four are known as Yamanaka *** evidence supports that USCs and UiPSCs possess high potential of neurogenic,myogenic,and osteogenic differentiation,indicating that they may play a crucial role in the treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal ***,we summarized the origin and physiological characteristics of USCs and UiPSCs and their therapeutic application in neurological and musculoskeletal disorders in this review,which not only contributes to deepen our understanding of hallmarks of USCs and UiPSCs but also provides the theoretical basis for the treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal disorders with USCs and UiPSCs.

This paper introduces a method for modeling the entire aggregated electric vehicle(EV)charging process and analyzing its dispatchable *** methodology involves developing a model for aggregated EV charging at the charging station level,estimating its physical dispatchable capability,determining its economic dispatchable capability under economic incentives,modeling its participation in the grid,and investigating the effects of different scenarios and EV penetration on the aggregated load dispatch and dispatchable *** results indicate that using economic dispatchable capability reduces charging prices by 9.7%compared to physical dispatchable capability and 9.3%compared to disorderly ***,the peak-to-valley difference is reduced by 64.6%when applying economic dispatchable capability with 20%EV penetration and residential base load,compared to disorderly charging.

Endoplasmic reticulum(ER) viscosity has emerged as a new potential biomarker for hepatic fibrosis(HF). Herein, we report the first ER-targeting viscosity-responsive near-infrared(NIR) fluorescent probe HBT-PP for investigations of HF *** twisted intramolecular charge transfer(TICT) and the excited state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT) are combined to endow HBT-PP with the selective response towards viscosity(～62-fold) and a super large stokes shift(～320 nm). HBT-PP mainly targets organelle ER and is able to image the drug-or alcohol-induced viscosity elevation in living cells. Significantly,HBT-PP was successfully applied to visualize the gender difference in HF and the protective role of estrogen in restraining HF progression. Of note, after 10 min of stain with HBT-PP, HF lesions showed a stage-based response, indicating the potential of this probe in fast and early diagnosis of HF. These results clearly demonstrated the promising application of HBT-PP as a new tool for exploring ER viscosity-involved physiological and pathological processes.

Molten salts is a promising medium for heat storage and heat transfer due to their advantages of low cost, low steam pressure, high energy storage density and wide temperature range. In this paper, a new phase change mixture of molten salts with KNO3, NaNO3, ZnCl2, NaF, Na2CO3, NaCl, and MgO as materials has been prepared through a plenty of experiments. The experimental results show that the melting point of some molten salts can be reduced to 202.9°C, and the decomposition temperature can reach 701.3°C. In addition, its thermophysical properties, including specific heat, viscosity and thermal stability, were measured and analyzed. The average specific heat of some molten salts is as high as 2.53 J/（g K）, and the average thermal conductivity is as high as 0.77 W/（m K）. In the 4-day short-term thermal stability test, the fluctuation of each parameter is minimal, and the overall thermal physical property is relatively stable. Compared with the traditional phase change molten salt, the new hybrid molten salt has a significantly lower melting point, a further improvement in the decomposition temperature, specific heat and other comprehensive thermophysical properties, and a better overall economy, which has important application value in heat transfer and energy storage.

为了揭示气膜孔内不同"喷射现象"对气膜冷却流动传热的影响,在相同射流角基础上选取7种不同进气角的冷气腔以改变气膜孔内的"射流效应",并对7种冷气腔在不同吹风比条件下进行了对比研究。结果表明:当进气角不为0°时,不同进气角会在气膜孔内产生不同的"喷射现象"。低吹风比时不同进气角的气膜冷却效率相差不大。随着吹风比的增加,不同进气角时的冷却效率存在很大差别。在吹风比为1.5,进气角不大于0°时冷气在孔外形成了强肾形涡;而当进气角大于0°时冷气在与高温主流相互作用后,上游低动量区的冷气会绕开下游高动量区冷气后贴附壁面,增大涡对之间的距离从而减弱相互增强的效应。相对于原始冷气腔,在吹风比为1.5,进气角为15°和30°时的平均气膜效率分别提高了约130%和70%。

The growth of dendrites and the side reactions occurring at the Zn anode pose significant challenges to the commercialization of aqueous Zn-ion batteries（AZIBs）. These challenges arise from the inherent conflict between mass transfer and electrochemical kinetics. In this study, we propose the use of a multifunctional electrolyte additive based on the xylose（Xylo） molecule to address these issues by modulating the solvation structure and electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby stabilizing the Zn anode. The introduction of the additive alters the solvation structure, creating steric hindrance that impedes charge transfer and then reduces electrochemical kinetics. Furthermore, in-situ analyses demonstrate that the reconstructed electrode/electrolyte interface facilitates stable and rapid Zn2+ion migration and suppresses corrosion and hydrogen evolution reactions. As a result, symmetric cells incorporating the Xylo additive exhibit significantly enhanced reversibility during the Zn plating/stripping process, with an impressively long lifespan of up to 1986 h, compared to cells using pure ZnSO4electrolyte. When combined with a polyaniline cathode, the full cells demonstrate improved capacity and long-term cyclic stability. This work offers an effective direction for improving the stability of Zn anode via electrolyte design, as well as highperformance AZIBs.
