AIM:To observe the therapeutic effect of conbercept on diabetic macular edema(DME)complicated with diabetic nephropathy(DN).METHODS:In this retrospective study,54 patients(54 eyes)that diagnosed as DME from January 2017 to October 2021 were *** patients were divided into two groups:DME patients with DN(25 eyes),and DME patients without DN(29 eyes).General conditions were collected before treatment,laboratory tests include fasting blood glucose,HbA1c,microalbumin/creatinine,serum *** coherence tomography(OCT)was used to check the ellipsoidal zone(EZ)and external limiting membrane(ELM)*** macular thickness(CMT),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),and retinal hyperreflective foci(HF)as well as numbers of injections were ***:There were significant differences between fasting blood glucose,HbA1c,serum creatinine,urinary microalbumin/creatinine,and estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)between the two groups(all P<0.05).EZ and ELM continuity in the DME+DN group was worse than that in the DME group(P<0.05).BCVA(logMAR)in the DME group was significantly better than that in the DME+DN group at the same time points during treatment(all P<0.05).CMT and HF values were significantly higher in the DME+DN group than that in the DME group at the all time points(all P<0.05)and significantly decreased in both groups with time during *** 6mo after treatment,the mean number of injections in the DME+DN and DME group was 4.84±0.94 and 3.79±0.86,***:Conbercept has a significant effect in short-term treatment of DME patients with or without DN,and can significantly ameliorate BCVA,CMT and the number of HF,treatment efficacy of DME patients without DN is better than that of DME patients with DN.

Seventeen undescribed lindenane-related sesquiterpenoid dimers,chlorajaponins A—Q(1—17),and 13 reported analogs(18—30)were isolated from Chloranthus japonicus *** 1 possesses an unprecedented 3/5/7/5/5/6/5/3 fused octacyclic scaffold,featuring a 6(5→4)-abeo-lindenane monomer,while 2 exhibits a 3/5/6/6/5/6/5/3 fused octacyclic *** structures were determined through a combination of spectroscopic analyses and X-ray *** 1,2,and 18 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation and effectively reduced the levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol,as well as the levels of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in a HepG2 cell *** addition,compounds 1,2,and 18 significantly suppressed the protein expression of the fatty acid synthase(FASN)and the sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBP1).Moreover,the anti-inflammatory assay showed that compounds 19—22 and 25 inhibited the NO production induced by lipopolysaccharide in RAW 264.7 macrophages with IC50 values of 7.89±0.44,6.25±0.46,2.98±0.29,10.77±0.60,and 3.60±0.28μmol/L.

BACKGROUND Cardioneuroablation(CNA)has shown encouraging results in patients with vasovagal syncope(VVS).However,data on different subtypes was *** This observational study retrospectively enrolled 141 patients[mean age:40±18 years,51 males(36.2%)]with the diagnosis of *** characteristics among different types of VVS and the outcomes after CNA were *** After a mean follow-up of 4.3±1.5 years,41 patients(29.1%)experienced syncope/pre-syncope events after ***/pre-syncope recurrence significantly differed in each subtype(P=0.04).The cardioinhibitory type of VVS had the lowest recurrence rate after the procedure(n=6,16.7%),followed by mixed(n=26,30.6%)and vasodepressive(n=9,45.0%).Additionally,a significant difference was observed in the analyses of the Kaplan-Meier survival curve(P=0.02).Syncope/pre-syncope burden was significantly reduced after CNA in the vasodepressive type(P<0.01).Vasodepressive types with recurrent syncope/pre-syncope after CNA have a lower baseline deceleration capacity(DC)level than those without(7.4±1.0 ms vs.9.0±1.6 ms,P=0.01).Patients with DC<8.4 ms had an 8.1(HR=8.1,95%CI:2.2-30.0,P=0.02)times risk of syncope/pre-syncope recurrence after CNA compared to patients with DC≥8.4 ms,and this association still existed after adjusting for age and sex(HR=8.1,95%CI:2.2-30.1,P=0.02).CONCLUSIONS Different subtypes exhibit different event-free *** vasodepressive type exhibited the lowest event-free rate,but those patients with DC≥8.4 ms might benefit from CNA.

Cobalt-based phosphides show excellent hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)performance,however,improving the intrinsic activity and stability of it in alkaline electrolyte still remains a ***,CoRuOH/Co_(2)P/CF with heterojunction structure was developed by means of molten salt and rapid hydrolysis(30 s).The OH-from rapid surface hydrolysis of Co_(2)P as a hydrogen adsorption site can facilitate the formation of thin CoRuOH layer as a water dissociation site,which may bring out better synergistic effect for alkaline ***,the covering of CoRuOH can improve the stability of Co_(2)P for *** drives at 100 mA/cm^(2),it only requires overpotential of 81 mV in 1.0 mol/L KOH(25℃).Even at higher current density(1000 mA/cm^(2)),CoRuOH/Co_(2)P/CF can also operate stability for at least 100 *** coupling with NiFe-LDH/IF in a two-electrode system,the voltage of NiFe-LDH/IF(+)||CoRuOH/Co_(2)P/CF(-)at 1000 mA/cm^(2)is merely 1.77 V with 100 h,demonstrating great potential for water *** implementation of this work provides a new strategy and reference for the further improvement of transition metal phosphides as HER electrocatalysts.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome （PCOS） is the most principal reason for infertility in reproductive women， but no versatile treatment is feasible. Although trans-10-Hydroxy-2-decenoic acid （10H2DA） exhibits the anti-inflammatory， anti-cancerous and immunomodulatory properties， its role in improving PCOS remains elusive. This present study examined the effects of 10H2DA on the estrous cycle， ovarian morphology， reproductive hormone， glucose and insulin tolerances of PCOS mice， analyzed the binding between 10H2DA and free fatty acid receptor 4 （FFAR4）， and explored the regulation of 10H2DA on the c-Jun N-terminal kinase （JNK）/JUN （Jun proto-oncogene） signaling， cytosolic calcium ion (Ca2+)， endoplasmic reticulum （ER） Ca2+release， mitochondrial Ca2+， mitochondrial function， autophagy， lysosomal acidification， mitochondrial fission， secretion function and apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells （GCs） using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay， flow cytometry. western blotting， molecular docking， various fluorescent probes or plasmid， etc. The results found that 10H2DA alleviated the symptom of PCOS mice through improving the secretion dysfunction of GCs and protecting GCs against apoptosis. After binding to FFAR4 and inactivation of JNK/JUN signaling， 10H2DA restricted the release of ER Ca2+through targeting ryanodine receptors （RYRs） which had been identified as the downstream targets of JUN， diminished cytosolic Ca2+accumulation and prevented Ca2+influx into mitochondria via adjusting the mitochondrial calcium uptake 1 （MICU1） and mitochondrial calcium uniporter （MCU）. Concurrently， 10H2DA kept the integrity of mitochondrial function through maintaining mitochondrial Ca2+homeostasis and suppressed the discharge of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species （mtROS） into the cytosol through blocking the mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening to avoid the lipid peroxidation and ameliorate the secretory function and apoptosis of GCs.
