Cryptocurrency, as a typical application scene of blockchain, has attracted broad interests from both industrial and academic communities. With its rapid development, the cryptocurrency transaction network embedding(CTNE) has become a hot topic. It embeds transaction nodes into low-dimensional feature space while effectively maintaining a network structure,thereby discovering desired patterns demonstrating involved users' normal and abnormal behaviors. Based on a wide investigation into the state-of-the-art CTNE, this survey has made the following efforts: 1) categorizing recent progress of CTNE methods, 2) summarizing the publicly available cryptocurrency transaction network datasets, 3) evaluating several widely-adopted methods to show their performance in several typical evaluation protocols, and 4) discussing the future trends of CTNE. By doing so, it strives to provide a systematic and comprehensive overview of existing CTNE methods from static to dynamic perspectives,thereby promoting further research into this emerging and important field.

Molecular epigenetic mechanisms for the memory of temperature stresses in plants

The sessile plants encounter various stresses;some are prolonged,whereas some others are recurrent.Temperature is crucial for plant growth and development,and plants often encounter adverse high temperature fluctuations(heat stresses)as well as prolonged cold exposure such as seasonal temperature drops in winter when grown in temperate regions.Many plants can remember past temperature stresses to get adapted to adverse local temperature changes to ensure survival and/or reproductive success.Here,we summarize chromatin-based mechanisms underlying acquired thermotolerance or thermomemory in plants and review recent progresses on molecular epigenetic understanding of‘remembering of prolonged cold in winter’or vernalization,a process critical for various over-wintering plants to acquire competence to flower in the coming spring.In addition,perspectives on future study in temperature stress memories of economically-important crops are discussed.

P2P energy trading via public power networks:Practical challenges,emerging solutions,and the way forward

Peer-to-peer(P2P)energy trading is an emerging energy supply paradigm where customers with distributed energy resources(DERs)are allowed to directly trade and share electricity with each other.P2P energy trading can facilitate local power and energy balance,thus being a potential way to manage the rapidly increasing number of DERs in net zero transition.It is of great importance to explore P2P energy trading via public power networks,to which most DERs are connected.Despite the extensive research on P2P energy trading,there has been little large-scale commercial deployment in practice across the world.In this paper,the practical challenges of conducting P2P energy trading via public power networks are identified and presented,based on the analysis of a practical Local Virtual Private Networks(LVPNs)case in North Wales,UK.The ongoing efforts and emerging solutions to tackling the challenges are then summarized and critically reviewed.Finally,the way forward for facilitating P2P energy trading via public power networks is proposed.

Smart Local Energy Systems Towards Net Zero:Practice and Implications from the UK

In transition towards net-zero carbon emissions,a high penetration of renewable power generation and electrification of heat and transport at the grid edge will increase total and peak power consumption significantly with greater uncertainties,thus posing serious challenges to electric power systems.Smart local energy systems,which manage distributed energy resources locally with various smart technologies and commercial arrangements,are one of the promising solutions to this problem.This paper provides a comprehensive review and analysis of the practice of local energy systems in the UK in the context of net-zero transition.At the macro level,local conditions,local businesses,profitability,investment and whole electricity system impacts of local energy systems are reviewed.Then,a practical case in North Wales,UK,is analyzed for demonstrating technical,commercial and regulatory arrangements available and needed for setting up a local energy system practice.Implications are summarized for providing a useful reference for developing smart local energy systems within and beyond the UK.

A Novel Wavelet-Homotopy Galerkin Method for Unsteady Nonlinear Wave Equations

The Coiflet wavelet-homotopy Galerkin method is extended to solve unsteady nonlinear wave equations for the first time.The Korteweg-de Vries(KdV)equation,the Burgers equation and the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers(KdVB)equation are examined as illustrative examples.Validity and accuracy of the proposed method are assessed in terms of relative variance and the maximum error norm.Our results are found in good agreement with exact solutions and numerical solutions reported in previous studies.Furthermore,it is found that the solution accuracy is closely related to the resolution level and the convergence-control parameter.It is also found that our proposed method is superior to the traditional homotopy analysis method when dealing with unsteady nonlinear problems.It is expected that this approach can be further used to solve complicated unsteady problems in the fields of science and engineering.

On the Nonexistence of Partial Difference Sets by Projections to Finite Fields

In the study of(partial)difference sets and their generalizations in groups G,the most widely used method is to translate their definition into an equation over group ring Z[G]and to investigate this equation by applying complex representations of G.In this paper,we investigate the existence of(partial)difference sets in a different way.We project the group ring equations in Z[G]to Z[N]where N is a quotient group of G isomorphic to the additive group of a finite field,and then use polynomials over this finite field to derive some existence conditions.

Effects of Wall Emissivity on Aerodynamic Heating in Scramjets

The effects of the wall emissivity on aerodynamic heating in a scramjet are analyzed.The supersonic turbulent combustion flow including radiation is solved in the framework of a decoupled strategy where the flow field is determined first and the radiation field next.In particular,a finite difference method is used for solving the flow while a DOM(iscrete ordinates method)approach combined with a WSGGM(weighted sum of gray gases)model is implemented for radiative transfer.Supersonic nonreactive turbulent channel flows are examined for a DLR hydrogen fueled scramjet changing parametrically the wall emissivity.The results indicate that the wall radiative heating rises greatly with increasing the wall emissivity.As the wall emissivity rises,the radiative source and total absorption increase,while the incident radiation decreases apparently.Notably,although the radiative heating can reach a significant level,its contribution to the total aerodynamic heating is relatively limited.

Peripheral and central control of obesity by primary cilia

Primary cilia are hair-like structures that protrude from the cell surface.They are capable of sensing external cues and conveying a vast array of signals into cells to regulate a variety of physiological activities.Mutations in cilium-associated genes are linked to a group of diseases with overlapping clinical manifestations,collectively known as ciliopathies.A significant proportion of human ciliopathy cases are accompanied by metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.Nevertheless,the mechanisms through which dysfunction of primary cilia contributes to obesity are complex.In this review,we present an overview of primary cilia and highlight obesity-related ciliopathies.We also discuss the potential role of primary cilia in peripheral organs,with a focus on adipose tissues.In addition,we emphasize the significance of primary cilia in the central regulation of obesity,especially the involvement of ciliary signaling in the hypothalamic control of feeding behavior.This review therefore proposes a framework of both peripheral and central regulation of obesity by primary cilia,which may benefit further exploration of the ciliary role in metabolic regulation.

Let l be a Krull-Schmidt n-exangulated category and A be an n-extension closed subcategory of l.Then A inherits the n-exangulated structure from the given n-exangulated category in a natural way.This construction gives n-exangulated categories which are neither n-exact categories in the sense of Jasso nor(n+2)-angulated categories in the sense of Geiss-Keller-Oppermann in general.Furthermore,we also give a sufficient condition on when an n-exangulated category A is an n-exact category.These results generalize work by Klapproth and zhou.
