polyolefins have the largest share in plastic waste,so it is vital to transform these end-of-life wastes into highly valued *** present here a new catalytic method to produce aromatics using pE as a carbon *** results indicate that polyethylene(pE)and cO_(2)can be converted into aromatics and cO simultaneously,achieving a high transformation rate and a 64.0%selectivity toward aromatics below 400℃ by cu-Fe_(3)O_(4)and Zn/ZSM-5 tandem ***,the established theoretical limit of 50%selectivity toward aromatics in pE aromatization is *** is attributed to the coexistence of reverse water-gas shift,which converts another feed,cO_(2),with hydrogen to produce valuable cO,confirmed by^(13)c isotope *** consumes excessive hydrogen generated during pE aromatization to produce cO and mitigates the production of light alkanes from hydrogen transfer reactions,thereby augmenting the formation of aromatic *** research offers a new approach to valorizing two prevalent waste carbon sources:waste plastic and cO_(2),which is useful for designing a new strategy for upcycling waste carbon resources.

In this study,the truncated octahedral ceO_(2)(ceO_(2)-to)with special morphology was prepared by the solvothermal method with oleic acid(OA)and oleamine(OM)as the morphology-directing ***-resolution transmission electron microsc.p.(HRTEM)results show that ceO_(2)-to exposes composite{100}and{111}facets,while ceO_(2)cubic(ceO_(2)-c)and ceO_(2)octahedral(ceO_(2)-o)only expose single crystal facets of{100}plane and{111}plane,***,this ceO_(2)-to photocatalyst exhibits remarkable photooxidation performance of gaseous acetaldehyde(cH_(3)cHO)degradation,in which cO_(2)generation value reaches 1.78 and 7.97-times greater than that of ceO_(2)-c and ceO_(2)-o,*** addition,the active species trapping experiment signifies that superoxide(·O_(2)^(-))and holes(h^(+))are the main reactive substances during the cH_(3)cHO degradation process,and the electron paramagnetic resonance(EpR)spectra indicates that the former is the major ***,the electron transfer mechanism between ceO_(2)-to{100}and{111}facets and the surface oxygen adsorption ability are revealed via density functional theory(DFT)*** is also confirmed that{100}facets are more conducive to the absorption of acetaldehyde than{111}***,a reasonable mechanism for improved photocatalytic cH_(3)cHO degradation on ceO_(2)-to is proposed based on relevant experiments and DFT *** study demonstrates that the systematic development of surface homojunction structured photocatalysts can efficiently increase the degradation activity for volatile organic compounds(VOcs).It also offers additional direction for optimizing the photocatalytic activity of other ceriumbased photocatalysts.

Dendrites growth,chemical corrosion,and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)on zinc anodes are the main barriers for the development of aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs).constructing interfacial protec-tive layer is an effective way to alleviate the side reactions on the ***,cu/Ti_(3)c_(2)cl_(2)MXene(cMX)with high zinc.p.ilic and hydrophobic.p.operty is prepared by the lewis molten salts etching method,and the cMX interface protection layer is constructed by a simple spin *** cMX coat-ing layer can provide abundant nucleation sites and uniformize the charge distribution through the zin-c.p.ilic Ti_(3)c_(2)cl_(2)MXene matrix,leading to homogenous Zn *** addition,the hydrophobic coat-ing contained anti-corrosive cu nanoparticles can prevent the Zn anode from the electrolyte,beneficial for suppressing the chemical corrosion and ***,the stable and reversible Zn plating/stripping is achieved for the Zn anode coated by the cMX,which exhibits the lifespan of over 1400 h at 0.5 mA cm^(−2),and even can steadily run for 700 h with 65 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2).Furthermore,cMX@Zn shows a high coulombic efficiency of over 100%for 3800 cycles,which indicates that the cMX@Zn electrode has excellent stability and reversibility of Zn stripping/*** full batteries assembled with ZncoMnO/c(ZcM)cathodes also exhibits higher c.p.city(450.6 mAh g^(−1)at 0.1 A g^(−1))and cycle stability(c.p.city retention of 70%after 1500 cycles).This work enhanced the lifespan of AZIBs and broaden the research of multifunctional coating layer to other secondary batteries based on metal anodes.

Glycidol is a common lipid-derived foodborne toxicant mainly presents in refined oils and related *** endothelial cells may be potential targets of the deleterious effects associated with glycidol *** human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEcs),we found that glycidol treatment promoted endothelialto-mesenchymal transition(EndMT)at a lower concentration(0.5 mmol/L),while induced apoptosis and inflammation at a higher concentration(1 mmol/L).These harmful effects were achieved by the activation of NF-κB/MApK signaling pathway and were mediated by reactive oxygen species(ROS).In addition,the protective potential of 6-c-(E-2-fluorostyryl)naringenin(6-cEFN)against glycidol was evaluated and compared with *** pre-treated with 6-cEFN,but not naringenin,displayed resistance to endothelial dysfunction caused by glycidol.

comprehensive Summary A general and convenient photoredox-catalyzed acylation and alkylcyanation of MBH acetates has been established,enabling the assembly of the c(sp2)–c(sp3)bond by a nitrogen-centered radical strategy for the synthesis of trisubstituted alkenes in moderate to excellent chemical yields(48 examples in total).The reaction of MBH acetates with acyl(indanone)oxime esters afforded trisubstituted alkenes containing 1,4-dicarbonyl ***,the use of Eosin Y as a photocatalyst in the catalytic system resulted in the formation of distal cyano group-anchored trisubstituted alkenes via deconstructive functionalization of cycloketone oxime ***,these resulting 1,4-dicarbonyl compounds could be applied to late-stage transformations,providing important methods for the synthesis of dihydropyridazin-3(2H)-one.

Type-II Dirac semimetals exhibit a unique Fermi surface topology,which allows them to host novel topological superconductivity（TSc）.We reveal a novel inter-orbital superconducting state,corresponding to the B1uand B2upairings under the D4hpoint ***,we find that both first-and second-order TSc coexist in this novel *** is induced by a dominant inter-orbital attraction and possesses surface helical Majorana cones and hinge Majorana flat bands,spanning the entire z-directed hinge Brillouin *** investigation uncovers that these higher-order hinge modes are robust against the c4zsymmetry-breaking perturbation.

The photocatalytic oxidative coupling of thiols is one of the most popular methods to synthesize the *** and its derivatives(TpAs)are promising for the above reaction,but suffer from the easy polymerization and difficult *** overcome these obstacles while controlling the photogenerated electrons transfer directly to target substrates,herein,we constructed one TpA-based metal-organic framework(MOF),(Me_(2)NH_(2))[Sr(Tc.p.)]·DMA·3H_(2)O(1),by direct self-assembly of tris(4′-carboxybiphenyl)amine(H_(3)Tc.p.)and photoredox inert strontium ion(Sr^(2+)).DFT calculations revealed that the valence band maximum(VBM)and the conduction band minimum(cBM)are mainly located on Tc.p.^(3-),successfully inhibiting the undesirable electron migration to metal *** results indicated that 1 displays superior performance than homogeneous H_(3)Tc.p.,which may result from the abundant π…π and c—H…π interactions between the well-arranged Tc.p.^(3-)and the build-in electric field between the anionic framework and the Me_(2)NH^(2+).This work highlights that immobilizing TpAs into MOFs is one promising approach to designing heterogeneous photocatalysts for the synthesis of disulfides by oxidative coupling of thiols.

As an important spice species in Rutaceae, the Sichuan pepper (Zanthoxylum armatum) can provide pungent and numbing taste, as well as aroma in its mature fruit. Here we assembled a chromosome-level genome of green prickly ash which was widely cultivated in a major production area including chongqing and Sichuan province, china. We generated 712 Gb (~112×) pacBio long reads and 511 Gb (~82×) Hi-c data, and yielded an assembly of 99 pseudochromosomes with total size of 5.32 Gb and contig N50 of 796 kb. The genomic analyses and cytogenetic experiments both indicated that the cultivarZhuye Huajiao’ was a triploid. We identified a Zanthoxylum-specific whole genome duplication event emerging about 24.8 million years ago (Mya). We also detected a transposition burst event (0.3-0.4 Mya) responsible for the large genome size of Z. armatum. Metabolomic analysis of the Zanthoxylum fruits during development stages revealed profiles of39 volatile aroma compounds and 528 secondary metabolites, from which six types of sanshools were identified. Based on metabolomic and transcriptomic network analysis, we screened candidate genes encoding long chain acyl-coA synthetase, fatty acid desaturase,branched-chain amino acid aminotransferase involved in sanshool biosynthesis and three genes encoding terpene synthase during fruit development. The multi-omics data provide insights into the evolution of Zanthoxylum and molecular basis of numbing and aroma flavor of Sichuan pepper.
