Synthesis of Chlorogenic Acid Imprinted Chromatographic Packing by Surface-initiated Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization and Its Application

A novel chromatographic packing of chlorogenic acid（CGA） molecularly imprinted polymer（MIP） based on the 5.0 ~tm silica was prepared by surface initiated atom transfer radical polymerization（SI-ATRP） with 4-vinylpyridine（4-VP） as functional monomer, ethyl glycol dimethacrylate（EDMA） as cross-linker in the mixture of methanol and water（7：3, volume ratio） under mild reaction conditions. The characteristics of CGA MIP were investi- gated by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis（TGA）, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry（FTIR） and atomic force microscopy（AFM）. The effects of some chromatographic conditions such as mobile phase composition and temperature on the retention time were investigated. The adsorption capacity of the stationary phase for com- pounds was determined by frontal chromatographic technique. The results show that Freundlich isotherm fits the ex- perimental adsorption isotherm data better than Langmuir model does. The relatively high heterogeneity index values regressed with the Freundlich isotherm suggest the formation of fairly homogeneous MIP. Thermodynamic data（AAH and AAS） obtained by van＇t Hoff plots reveal an entropy-controlled separation. The CGA MIP column was shown to be successful for the separation and purification of chlorogenic acid from the extract of Honeysuckle.

XN901 is a K-type three-line hybrid wheat with a high yield potential, and its leaves and stem remaining green during grain maturation, suggesting much assimilate stay in leaves and stem. The grain water content, grain volume, carbohydrate content, and enzyme activity of sucose metabolism in the grain, as well as source-sink relationship were studied in order to investigate the physiological reason of the assimilate remaining in leaves and stem at the late stage. The results showed that the hybrid grains had more water and soluble sugar, higher activities of acid invertase and sucrose synthase at the early stage that led to a faster expansion growth, greater grain volume and faster starch synthesis at the early to mid stage of grain development. Also it had a longer period for actively filling. As a result, the grain weight and yield of the hybrid were increased by 14 and 15% respectively compared to that of Shaan 229. Additionally, the biomass of XN901 was 41.7% more than that of control, but its harvest index was 9% lower than Shaan 229. However, its lower activity of sucrose synthase indicated a lower sink activity at the late stage, resulting in a slow rate of filling and starch synthesis. Also, the hybrid wheat XN901 had a large source-sink ratio. It is the main reason for much assimilate remaining in the straw at the late stage and lower harvest index. Strengthening the sink activity and raising the harvest index should be the key means of improving the yield of hybrid wheat.

Human beings have experienced a serious public health event as the new pneumonia(COVID-19), caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus has killed more than 3000 people in China, most of them elderly or people with underlying chronic diseases or immunosuppressed states. Rapid assessment and early warning are essential for outbreak analysis in response to serious public health events. This paper reviews the current model analysis methods and conclusions from both micro and macro perspectives. The establishment of a comprehensive assessment model, and the use of model analysis prediction, is very efficient for the early warning of infectious diseases. This would significantly improve global surveillance capacity, particularly in developing regions, and improve basic training in infectious diseases and molecular epidemiology.

A three-dimensional finite element model for phase change random access memory is established to simulate electric, thermal and phase state distribution during （SET） operation. The model is applied to simulate the SET behaviors of the heater addition structure （HS） and the ring-type contact in the bottom electrode （RIB） structure. The simulation results indicate that the small bottom electrode contactor （BEC） is beneficial for heat efficiency and reliability in the HS cell, and the bottom electrode contactor with size Fx=80 nm is a good choice for the RIB cell. Also shown is that the appropriate SET pulse time is lOOns for the low power consumption and fast operation.

The use of TiO2 as an anode in rechargeable sodium-ion batteries(NIBs)is hampered by intrinsic low electronic conductivity of TiO2 and in ferior electrode ***,a high-performa nee T1O2 electrode for NIBs is prese nted by desig ning a multicha rinel porous T1O2 nano fibers with well-dispersed Cu nan odots and Cu^2+-doping derived oxyge n vaca ncies(Cu-MPTO).The in-situ grow n well-dispersed copper nano dots of about 3 nm on TiO2 surface could significantly enhance electronic conductivity of the TiO2 *** one-dimensional multichannel porous structure could facilitate the electrolyte to soak in,leadi ng to short tran sport path of Na^+through carb on toward the TiO2 nano *** Cu^2+-doping induced oxygen vacancies could decrease the bandgap of T1O2,resulting in easy electron *** this strategy,the Cu-MPTO electrodes render an outstanding rate performance for NIBs(120 mAh·g^-1 at 20 C)and a superior cycling stability for ultralong cycle life(120 mAh·g^-1 at 20 C and 96.5%retention over 2,000 cycles).Density functional theory(DFT)calculations also suggest that Cu^2+doping can enhance the conductivity and electron transfer of T1O2 and lower the sodiation energy *** strategy is confirmed to be a general process and could be extended to improve the performance of other materials with low electronic conductivity applied in energy storage systems.
