The accumulation of Cd by rice poses significant health *** fertilizationwith Zn can reduce grain Cd contents in rice grown in Cd-contaminated ***,atmospheric deposition on leaves is another vector of Cd contamination,and it remains unclear how Zn application affects the allocation of such *** conducted an experiment where the flag leaves of rice plants were treated with solutions with various Zn concentrations and a constant Cd *** 111Cd stable isotope was used to trace the flux of foliarapplied *** levels of foliar-applied Zn enhanced Cd efflux and grain *** is attributed to limited sequestration of foliar-applied Cd in the leaf cell symplasm and increased Cd desorption from leaf cell walls when a high Zn^(2+)concentration occurs in the *** Zn oxide nanoparticlesmitigated these ***,the expressions of OsLCT1 and OsZIP7 in flag leaves and OsHMA2 and OsZIP7 in the uppermost nodes were upregulated under high-Zn^(2+)treatment,which may facilitate Cd phloem loading and grain *** is advised in using foliar Zn in areas with high atmospheric Cd due to potential grain-contamination risks.

Norfloxacin is widely used owing to its strong bactericidal effect on Gram-negative ***,the residual norfloxacin in the environment can be biomagnified via food chain andmay damage the human liver and delay the bone development *** work described a reliable and sensitive smartphone colorimetric sensing system based on cobaltdoped Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanoparticles(Co-Fe_(3)O_(4) MNPs)for the visual detection of *** with Fe_(3)O_(4),Co-Fe_(3)O_(4) MNPs earned more remarkably peroxidase-like activity and TMB(colorless)was rapidly oxidized to oxTMB(blue)with the presence of H_(2)O_(2).Interestingly,the addition of low concentration of norfloxacin can accelerate the color reaction process of TMB,and blue deepening of the solution can be observed with the naked ***,after adding high concentration of norfloxacin,the activity of nanozymewas inhibited,resulting in the gradual fading of the *** on this principle,a colorimetric sensor integrated with smartphone RGB mode was *** visual sensor exhibited good linearity for norfloxacin monitoring in the range of 0.13-2.51μmol/L and 17.5-100μmol/*** limit of visual detectionwas 0.08μmol/*** the actualwater sample analysis,the spiked recoveries of norfloxacin were over the range of 95.7%-104.7%.These results demonstrated that the visual sensor was a convenient and fast method for the efficient and accurate detection of norfloxacin in water,which may have broad application prospect.

Various chemical irrigants and drugs have been employed for intra-canal disinfection in root canal therapy (RCT). However, due to the complexity of root canal anatomy, many drugs still exhibit poor penetrability and antibiotic resistance, leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes. Thus, it is challenging to remove the organic biofilms from root canals. In recent years, light-responsive therapy, with deeper tissue penetration than traditional treatments, has emerged as an effective RCT modality. Herein, this review summarizes the recent development of light-responsive nanomaterials for biofilm removal in *** light-responsive nanomaterials and the corresponding therapeutic methods in RCT, including photodynamic therapy (PDT), photothermal therapy (PTT), and laser-activated therapy, are highlighted. Finally,the challenges that light-responsive nanomaterials and treatment modalities will encounter to conquer the biofilm in future RCT are discussed. This review is believed to significantly accelerate the future development of light-responsive nanomaterials for RCT from bench to bedside.

Human fetal germ cells (FGCs), referring to the embryonic precursors of oocytes and sperm, are crucial for the transmission of genetic and epigenetic information across generations. The finely orchestrated development of FGCs is of great importance for maintaining reproductive health. In the past several years, various omics techniques have been applied to human FGCs to reveal the global epigenetic reprogramming and transcriptional resetting processes during FGC development. Single-cell RNA sequencing (RNAseq) analysis of human FGCs unraveled the dynamic transcriptome, with simultaneous expression of both pluripotency genes and germline-specific genes (Guo et al., 2015; Li et al., 2017).

Polythiocarbonates with similar structures to polycarbonates, have emerged as a group of promising sulfur-containing polymers with a range of practical applications, taking advantages of their excellent optical properties, good thermal stability and filmforming ability, and so on. However, the synthesis of polythiocarbonates generally suffered from mixed isomeric structures of repeating units, and hazardous sulfur-containing reagents. In this work, an efficient multicomponent reaction of elemental sulfur,difluoromethylene phosphobetaine（PDFA）, and aryl silyl ethers was designed with the assistance of organic base 7-methyl-1,5,7-triazabicyclo[4.4.0]dec-5-ene（MTBD） to produce 12 kinds of O,O′-monothiocarbonate compounds in up to 93% yields,taking advantages of the unique chemical property of difluorocarbene, and the deprotection of silyl group by F-generated from PDFA. Most importantly, the MTBD-assisted multicomponent polymerization of bis（aryl silyl ether）s, elemental sulfur, and PDFA was developed, affording 12 kinds of poly（O,O′-monothiocarbonate）s with well-defined structures, high Mws of up to16900 g/mol and high yields（up to 99%）. These poly（O,O′-monothiocarbonate）s possessed good film-forming properties and thermal stability, high light refractive indices and transmittance. The facile synthesis of these polymonothiocarbonates might pave the way for the development of promising sulfur-containing polymer materials.

This paper introduces a method for modeling the entire aggregated electric vehicle(EV)charging process and analyzing its dispatchable *** methodology involves developing a model for aggregated EV charging at the charging station level,estimating its physical dispatchable capability,determining its economic dispatchable capability under economic incentives,modeling its participation in the grid,and investigating the effects of different scenarios and EV penetration on the aggregated load dispatch and dispatchable *** results indicate that using economic dispatchable capability reduces charging prices by 9.7%compared to physical dispatchable capability and 9.3%compared to disorderly ***,the peak-to-valley difference is reduced by 64.6%when applying economic dispatchable capability with 20%EV penetration and residential base load,compared to disorderly charging.
