A residual denoising and multiscale attention-based weighted domain adaptation network for tunnel boring machine main bearing fault diagnosis

As a critical component of a tunnel boring machine(TBM), the precise condition monitoring and fault analysis of the main bearing is essential to guarantee the safety and efficiency of the TBM cutter drive. Currently, under conditions of strong noise and complex working environments, traditional signal decomposition and machine learning methods struggle to extract weak fault features and achieve high fault classification accuracy. To address these issues, we propose a novel residual denoising and multiscale attention-based weighted domain adaptation network(RDMA-WDAN) for TBM main bearing fault diagnosis. Our approach skillfully designs a deep feature extractor incorporating residual denoising and multiscale attention modules, achieving better domain adaptation despite significant domain interference. The residual denoising component utilizes a convolutional block to extract noise features, removing them via residual connections. Meanwhile, the multiscale attention module uses a 4-branch convolution and 3 pooling strategy-based channel–spatial attention mechanism to extract multiscale features, concentrating on deep fault features. During training, a weighting mechanism is introduced to prioritize domain samples with clear fault features. This optimizes the deep feature extractor to obtain common features, enhancing domain adaptation. A low-speed and heavy-loaded bearing testbed was built, and fault data sets were established to validate the proposed method. Comparative experiments show that in noise domain adaptation tasks, proposed the RDMA–WDAN significantly improves target domain classification accuracy by 42.544%, 23.088%, 43.133%, 16.344%, 5.022%, and 9.233% over dense connection network(DenseNet), squeeze–excitation residual network(SE-ResNet), antinoise multiscale convolutional neural network(ANMSCNN), multiscale attention module-based convolutional neural network(MSAMCNN), domain adaptation network, and hybrid weighted domain adaptation(HWDA). Correlation of preoperative inflammatory factors and emotional disorders with postoperative delirium in patients with craniocerebral trauma

硅基调制器具有体积小、功耗低、易集成等优势,但相较于铌酸锂调制器,线性度通常较差,从而限制了其在光载无线等通信系统中的性能。提出一种增强型最大比例混合接收机(EMRC-Rx),用以补偿硅基调制器对无源光接入网络带来的性能下降缺点。EMRC-Rx综合利用直接检测机(DD-Rx)和轻相干检测机(Lite CO-Rx)的优势,借助两种接收方式的最大信噪比占比,可以显著提升接收机的灵敏度,进而解决硅基调制器低线性度导致的系统性能下降问题。实验结果表明,当误码率高于KP4-FEC阈值1.0×10^(-4)时,相较于DD-Rx和Lite CO-Rx,EMRC-Rx的接收灵敏度分别提升5.5 dB和8.8 dB,误差矢量幅度(EVM)分别提升32.5%和41.1%,系统性能明显得到改善。通过进一步与铌酸锂调制器进行对比发现,相比采用铌酸锂调制器的Lite CO-Rx和DD-Rx,基于硅基调制器的EMRC-Rx的接收灵敏度分别提升3.5 dB和7.9 dB,且可取得与铌酸锂调制器中MRC-Rx接近的系统性能,验证了EMRC-Rx对硅基调制器低线性度带入的性能劣化的补偿效果。本工作对在5G时代利用硅基调制器构建高可靠、低成本的光子集成接入网具有指导意义。

Chirality enables thermal magnon transistors

We report a theory of thermal spin pumping into proximity magnets under a transverse-bias-driven heat flow of magnons in magnetic films when the dipolar coupling to the magnetic gate is tuned to be “chiral”. While there is no rectification of the magnon current in the film, we predict that chirality diverts a large percentage(50% for perfect chirality) of it into the gate. This transverse thermal spin pumping effect can be controlled by rotating the film magnetization and may help manage the heat flow in future magnonic circuits.

Recently,China’s State Council issued the Continuous Improvement of Air Quality Action Plan(hereafter,the third action plan),which follows the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan(2013–2017)(hereafter,the first action plan)and the Three-Year Action Plan for Winning the Blue Sky Defense Battle(2018–2020)(hereafter the second action plan).The first two action plans yielded nationwide health benefits[1–3],from improving lung function[4]to saving medical expenditures[5].Based on our previous estimates[6],due to reductions in the fine particulate matter(PM2.5)level,implementation of the first and second action plans was expected to increase life expectancy by 2.11 and 3.68 months.

Icariin attenuates vascular endothelial dysfunction by inhibiting inflammation through GPER/Sirt1/HMGB1 signaling pathway in type 1 diabetic rats

Icariin, a flavonoid glycoside, is extracted from Epimedium. This study aimed to investigate the vascular protective effects of icariin in type 1 diabetic rats by inhibiting high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1)-related inflammation and exploring its potential mechanisms. The impact of icariin on vascular dysfunction was assessed in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats through vascular reactivity studies. Western blotting and immunofluorescence assays were performed to measure the expressions of target proteins. The release of HMGB1 and pro-inflammation cytokines were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results revealed that icariin administration enhanced acetylcholine-induced vasodilation in the aortas of diabetic rats. It also notably reduced the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-8 (IL-8), IL-6, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) in diabetic rats and high glucose (HG)-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). The results also unveiled that the pro-inflammatory cytokines in the culture medium of HUVECs could be increased by rHMGB1. The increased release of HMGB1 and upregulated expressions of HMGB1-related inflammatory factors, including advanced glycation end products (RAGE), Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), and phosphorylated p65 (p-p65) in diabetic rats and HG-induced HUVECs, were remarkably suppressed by icariin. Notably, HMGB1 translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm in HUVECs under HG was inhibited by icariin. Meanwhile, icariin could activate G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) and sirt1. To explore the role of GPER and Sirt1 in the inhibitory effect of icariin on HMGB1 release and HMGB-induced inflammation, GPER inhibitor and Sirt1 inhibitor were used in this study. These inhibitors diminished the effects of icariin on HMGB1 release and HMGB1-induced inflammation. Specifically, the GPER inhibitor also negated the activation of Sirt1 by icariin.
