The enhancement of radio frequency identification(RFID) technology to track and trace objects has attracted a lot of attention from the healthcare and the supply chain ***,RFID systems do not always function reliably under complex and variable deployment *** many cases,RFID systems provide only probabilistic observations of object ***,an approach to predict,record and track real world object states based upon probabilistic RFID observations is *** Markov model(HMM) has been used in the field of probabilistic location *** the inherent duration probability density of a state in HMM is exponential,which may be inappropriate for modeling of object location ***,in this paper,we put forward a hidden semi-Markov model(HSMM) based approach for probabilistic location determination. We evaluated its performance comparing with that of the HMM-based *** results show that the HSMM-based approach provides a more accurate determination of real world object states based on observation data.

By extending the usual Wigner operator to the s-parameterized one as 1/4π2 integral （dyduexp [iu（q-Q）＋iy（p-P）＋is/2yu]） from n=- ∞ to ∞ with s beng a,real parameter,we propose a generalized Weyl quantization scheme which accompanies a new generalized s-parameterized ordering *** rule recovers P-Q ordering,Q-P ordering,and Weyl ordering of operators in s = 1,1,0 *** it differs from the Cahill-Glaubers’ ordering rule which unifies normal ordering,antinormal ordering,and Weyl *** also show that in this scheme the s-parameter plays the role of correlation between two quadratures Q and *** formula that can rearrange a given operator into its new s-parameterized ordering is presented.

To investigate the fire endurance of wood beams exposed to three-side fire, we conducted bearing capacity tests of two wood beams and experiments of five wood beams exposed to three-side fire. The finite element software ANSYS was also used to predict the fire endurance of those beams with the indirect order coupling method. It was found that the fire endurance decreases as the load level increases, and the reduction ratio tends to decrease. In the case of a certain load level, the fire endurance is improved if the section size is increased or covered by the fire protection coating. The central deformation increases as the fire duration increases, and the ratio of increase tends to rise. On another note, an increase in the density of wood leads to a rise in the fire endurance of a given beam. From the finite element method (FEM) calculation results, the fire endurance decreases as the load level increases, and the reduction ratio tends to decrease. When the load level is greater than 0.5, the fire endurance is significantly reduced, and it does not change significantly when the load level changes. Lastly, for a load level magnitude below 0.5, the fire endurance and load level are proportional to one another.

The semicircular canals, composed of lateral, anterior and posterior canals in the inner ear, are the sensors of equilibrium during head rotation movements in the three-dimensional space. Semicircular canals are filled with endolymph confined by the cupula. The study of the relationship between endolymph flow and cupular deformation is important in revealing the semicircular canals biomechanical behavior. To date, there are few studies focusing on the transient endolymph flow and cupular deformation in response to a head rotation motion. The lateral semicircular canal is mainly responsible for the sense of the horizontal rotation movement. In order to figure out the intricate dynamics in the lateral semicircular canal during the head rotation motion, the time evolutions of both endolymph flow and cupular deformation are analyzed in this article by using a fully coupled fluid-structure interaction model. It is shown that the cupular deformation provides cues for understanding the physiology of sensing the head rotation.

AIM: To examine the effects of opioid receptor antagonists and norepinephrine on intracellular free Ca2+ concentra- tion ([Ca2+]i) in mesenteric arterial (MA) smooth muscle cells (SMC) isolated from normal and hemorrhagic shocked rats in the vascular hyporesponse stage. METHODS: The rat model of hemorrhagic shock was made by withdrawing blood to decrease the artery mean blood pressure to 3.73.4.26 kPa and keeping at the level for 3.h. [Ca2+]i of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) were detected by the laser scan confocal microscopy. RESULTS: In the hyporesponse VMSC of rats in hemorrhagic shock, selective δ-, κ-, and μ-opioid receptor antagonists (naltrindole, nor-binaltorphimine, and β-funaltrexamine, 100 nmol/L) as well as norepinephrine 5 μmol/L significantly increased [Ca2+]i by 47 %±13.%, 3. %±14 %, 3. %±10 %, and 54 %±17 %, respectively, although their effects were lower than those in the normal rat cells (the increased values were 148 %±54 %, 13. %±44 %, 63.%±17 % and 110 %±3. %, respectively); and the norepinephrine-induced increase in [Ca2+]i was further augmented by three δ-, κ-, and μ-opioid receptor antagonists (50 nmol/L, respectively) application (from 52 %±16 % to 99 %±29 %, 146 %±54 % and 13. %±47 %, respectively). CONCLUSION: The disorder of [Ca2+]i regulation induced by hemorrhagic shock was mediated by opioid receptor and α-adrenoceptor, which may be partly responsible for the vascular hyporesponse, and the opioid receptor antagonists improved the response of resistance arteries to vascu- lar stimulants in decompensatory stage of hemorrhagic shock.

A metallurgical model concerning the co-effect of the Nb solute drag and the complex carbonitride precipitates pinning is proposed to predict the recrystallization austenite grain growth of low carbon Nb-containing microalloyed *** analysis,both predicted and experimental,reveals the precipitate pinning plays a dominate role in suppressing the austenite grain growth with less Nb solute drag effect in high temperature region whereas the Nb solute drag predominates in relatively low temperature region.A factor p is suggested to assess the effectiveness of drag and *** pinning and the drag are more effective in restraining grain growth as p>0 and p<0,respectively.A low carbon Nb microalloyed steel and a kind of Ti-modified low carbon Nb steel by Ti substituting for part of Nb are employed to validate the modeling *** theoretical calculations show a good agreement with experimental results.

A high resolution finite volume numerical method for solving the shallow water equations is developed in this paper. In order to extend finite difference TVD scheme to finite volume method, a new geometry and topology of control bodies is defined by considering the corresponding relationships between nodes and elements. This solver is implemented on arbitrary quadrilateral meshes and their satellite elements, and based on a second order hybrid type of TVD scheme in space discretization and a two step Runge Kutta method in time discretization. Then it is used to deal with two typical dam break problems and very satisfactory results are obtained comparied with other numerical solutions. It can be considered as an efficient implement for the computation of shallow water problems, especially concerning those having discontinuities, subcritical and supercritical flows and complex geometries.
