Visible-light communication(VLC)stands as a promising component of the future communication network by providing high-capacity,low-latency,and high-security wireless *** diode(SLD)is proposed as a new light emitter in the VLC system due to its properties of droop-free emission,high optical power density,and low *** this paper,we analyze a VLC system based on SLD,demonstrating effective implementation of carrierless amplitude and phase modulation(CAP).We create a low-complexity memory-polynomial-aided neural network(MPANN)to replace the traditional finite impulse response(FIR)post-equalization filters of CAP,leading to significant mitigation of the linear and nonlinear distortion of the VLC *** MPANN shows a gain in Q factor of up to 2.7 dB higher than other equalizers,and more than four times lower complexity than a standard deep neural network(DNN),hence,the proposed MPANN opens a pathway for the next generation of robust and efficient neural network equalizers in *** experimentally demonstrate a proof-of-concept 2.95-Gbit/s transmission using MPANN-aided CAP with 16-quadrature amplitude modulation(16-QAM)through a 30-cm channel based on the 442-nm blue SLD emitter.

A series of N-base appended corroles and their manganese complexes were synthesized and their binding constants with three different nitrogenous ligands, triethylamine, N-methylimidazole and pyridine, were evaluated by spectroscopy. Kinetic studies indicated that the presence of appended N- donor ligands may cause a significant enhancement of the rate of oxygen atom transfers （OAT） from （oxo）manganese（V） corrole to alkene, and the stronger axial ligand binding has impact on the rate of the oxidation reaction. Turnover frequency （TOF） for the catalytic oxidation of alkenes by appended manganese corroles varies with the following ligand order： acetamido 〈 pyridyl 〈 imidazolyl. The influence of the external axial ligands on the catalytic epoxidation was investigated by using appended acetamido manganese corrole as catalyst, with the results revealing that N-methylimidazole gave the best enhancement on the yields of total oxidation products among the investigated nitrogenous ligands.

目的建立测定明目上清片中5种元素含量的电感耦合等离子体质谱(ICP-MS)法。方法使用微波消解仪对样品进行预处理,等离子体射频功率为1550 W,采样深度为8.0 mm,等离子气体流速为15 L/min,雾化气流速为1.0 L/min,辅助气流速为0.9 L/min,蠕动泵转速为0.1 r/s。结果铅、镉、砷、汞、铜元素质量浓度分别在4~100 ng/m L、0.2~5 ng/m L、2~50 ng/m L、0.2~5 ng/m L、20~500 ng/m L范围内与仪器响应值线性关系良好(R^(2)>0.9995,n=6);精密度、重复性试验结果的RSD均小于4.0%;平均加样回收率分别91.97%,104.12%,107.05%,92.74%,103.46%,RSD均小于4.0%(n=6)。4家生产企业34批样品检出5种元素含量分别为0.21~2.64,0.03~0.16,0.20~12.14,0.00~1.14,2.33~6.21 mg/kg。按拟订的限度(分别为1.6,1.0,3.8,0.7,625 mg/kg),共有2批样品(涉及2家生产企业)存在超标现象,不合格率为5.88%。结论所建立的方法操作简单、快速、灵敏,结果准确,适用于明目上清片中5种元素的含量测定。

Threatened miscarriage is the commonest complication of early pregnancy and affects about 20% of pregnancies. It presents with vaginal bleeding with or without abdominal cramps. Increasing age of women, smoking, obesity or polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) and a previous history of miscarriage are risk factors for threatened miscarriage. The pathophysiology has been associated with changes in levels of cytokines or maternal immune dysfunction. Clinical history and examination, maternal serum biochemistry and ultrasound findings are important to determine the treatment options and provide valuable information for the prognosis. Bed rest is the commonest advice, but there is little evidence of its value. Other options include progesterone, human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG) and muscle relaxants. The complementary and alternative medicine(CAM) therapies such as acupuncture and chinese herbs have also been tried. There is some evidence from clinical studies indicating that CAM therapies may reduce the rate of miscarriage, but the quality of studies is poor. Thus, further double-blind,randomized-controlled trials are necessary to confirm its effectiveness, especially acupuncture and chinese herbs.

Stomach pain in chinese medicine（CM） is a very common disorder in clinical practice and it has been listed as one of the pilot three conditions in Hong Kong to develop evidence-based CM clinical practice guidelines（CM CPGs）. The aim of this stomach Pain CPG is to summarize the treatment methods of stomach pain with CM and evaluate reasonably, then to guide local licensed CM practitioners and provide beneficial reference for social medical decision makers and patients. In this manuscript, we defined stomach pain in CM and the category of chronic gastritis in Western medicine. The clinical manifestation, CM pattern classification, and CM intervention including herbal medicine treatment based on pattern differentiation, symptomatic treatment, acupuncture treatment, regulation and nursing were illustrated.

Risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events after surgical castration versus gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists in chinese men with prostate cancer

We investigated the cardiovascular thrombotic risk after surgical castration （SC） versus genadotmpin-releasing hormone agonists （GnRHa） in chinese men with prostate cancer. All chinese prostate cancer patients who were treated with SC or GnRHa from year 2000 to 2009 were reviewed and compared. The primary outcome was any new-onset of cardiovascular thrombotic events after SC or GnRHa, which was defined as any event of acute myocardial infarction or ischemic stroke. The risk of new-onset cardiovascular thrombotic event was compared between the SC group and the GnRHa group using Kaplan-Meier method. Multivariate Cox regression analysis was performed to adjust for other potential confounding factors. A total of 684 chinese patients was included in our study, including 387 patients in the SC group and 297 patients in the GnRHa group. The mean age in the SC group （75.3 ~ 7.5 years） was significantly higher than the GnRHa group （71.8 ~ 8.3 years）（P 〈 0.001）. There was increased risk of new cardiovascular thrombotic events in the SC group when compared to the GnRHa group upon Kaplan-Meier analysis （P= 0.014）. Upon multivariate Cox regression analysis, age （hazard ratio [HR] 1.072, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.04-1.11, P 〈 0.001）, hyperlipidemia （HR 2.455, 95% Cl 1.53-3.93, P 〈 0.001）, and SC （HR 1.648, 95% CI 1.05-2.59, P = 0.031） were significant risk factors of cardiovascular thrombotic events. In conclusion, SC was associated with increased risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events when compared to GnRHa. This is an important aspect to consider while deciding on the method of androgen deprivation therapy, especially in elderly men with known history of hyperlipidemia.

Long-term survival after intraluminal brachytherapy for inoperable hilar cholangiocarcinoma: A case report

Surgical resection with a tumor-free margin is the onlycurative treatment for hilar cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin tumor). However, over half of the patients present late with unresectable tumors. Radiotherapy using external beamirradiation or intraluminal brachytherapy (ILBT) has been used to treat unresectable hilar cholangiocarcinoma with satisfactory outcome. We reported a patient with unresectable hilar cholangiocarcinoma surviving more than 6 years after combined external beam irradiation and ILBT.
