One-pot synthesis of N-doped petroleum coke-based microporous carbon for high-performance CO_(2) adsorption and supercapacitors

Waste resource utilization of petroleum coke is crucial for achieving global carbon emission ***,a series of N-doped microporous carbons were fabricated from petroleum coke using a one-pot synthesis *** as-prepared samples had a large specific surface area(up to 2512 m^(2)/g),a moderate-high N content(up to 4.82 at.%),and high population(55%)of ultra-micropores(lating the N content and ultra-microporosity led to efficient CO_(2)adsorption and *** ambient pressure,the optimal N-doped petroleum coke-based microporous carbon exhibited the highest CO_(2)uptake of 4.25 mmol/g at 25℃ and 6.57 mmol/g at 0℃.These values are comparable or even better than those of numerous previously reported adsorbents prepared by multistep synthesis,primarily due to the existence of *** sample exhibited excellent CO_(2)/N_(2)selectivity at 25℃ owing to the abundant basic pyridinic and pyrrolic N species;and showed superior CO_(2)adsorption-desorption cycl.ng performance,which was maintained at 97% after 10 cycles at 25℃.Moreover,petroleum coke-based microporous carbon,with a considerably high specific surface area and hierarchical pore structure,exhibited excellent electrochemical performance over the N-doped sample,maintaining a favorable specific capacitance of 233.25F/g at 0.5 A/g in 6 mol/l KOH aqueous *** study provides insight into the influence of N-doping on the porous properties of petroleum coke-based ***,the as-prepared carbons were found to be promising adsorbents for CO_(2)adsorption,CO_(2)/N_(2)separation and electrochemical application.

To investigate the role of co-stimulatory and co-inhibitory molecules on immune tolerance in immune thrombocytopenia(ITP),this study mapped the immune cell heterogeneity in the bone marrow of ITP at the single-cell level using Cytometry by Time of Flight(CyTOF).Thirtysix patients with ITP and nine healthy volunteers were enrolled in the *** soluble immunomodulatory molecules,more sCD25 and sGalectin-9 were detected in ITP *** the cell surface,co-stimulatory molecules like ICOS and HVEM were observed to be upregulated in mainly central memory and effector T *** contrast,co-inhibitory molecules such as CTlA-4 were significantly reduced in Th1 and Th17 cell *** a platelet count of 30×10^(9)l^(−1)as the cutoff value,ITP patients with high and low platelet counts showed different T cell immune ***-presenting cells such as monocytes and B cells may regulate the activation of T cells through CTlA-4/CD86 and HVEM/BTlA interactions,respectively,and participate in the pathogenesis of *** conclusion,the proteomic and soluble molecular profiles brought insight into the interaction and modulation of immune cells in the bone marrow of *** may offer novel targets to develop personalized immunotherapies.

[Objectives]To explore the mechanism of Huanglian detoxification soup improving pain behavior by affecting serum Il-2 levels in postherpetic neuralgia(post herpes neuralgia,PHN)model rats.[Methods]20 PHN rats were randomly divided into model group(PHN group)and detoxification decoction group(n=10).In the group,10%Huanglian detoxification soup(0.4 ml/0.1 kg)was given once in the morning and evening for 14 *** PHN group was filled with an equal volume of 0.9%sodium chloride *** vein serum inflammatory factor interleukin-2(Il-2),Il-βand Il-6 levels were measured using ElISA kits at 7 and 21 d.[Results]Il-2 increased at 14 and 21 d in Il group,while Il-βand Il-6 decreased compared with the PHN group(Plusions]Huanglian detoxification soup may raise Il-2 levels after VZV infection to promote the differentiation of cells of the immune system,so as to relieve the pain caused by Il-βand Il-6 inflammatory factors.

Combined effect of cortical superficial siderosis and cerebral microbleed on short-term and l.ng-term outcomes after intracerebral haemorrhage

Background and purpose Cortical superficial siderosis(cSS)and cerebral microbleed(CMB)have distinct effects on intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH).We aim to investigate the combined effect of cSS and CMB on outcomes after *** Based on a single-centre stroke registry database,patients with spontaneous ICH who had CT scan within 48 hours after ictus and MRI subsequently were *** patients were divided into four groups(cSS-CMB−,cSS-CMB+,cSS+CMB−,cSS+CMB+)according to cSS and CMB on susceptibility-weighted image of *** outcomes were haematoma volume on admission and unfavourable outcome defined as modified Rankin Scale scores≥3 at 3 *** outcomes were all-cause death,recurrence of stroke and ICH during follow-up(median follow-up 2.0 years,IQR 1.0-3.0 years).Results A total of 673 patients were identified from 1044 patients with spontaneous ICH.131(19.5%)had cSS and 468(69.5%)had *** with cSS+CMB+had the highest rate of poor outcome at 3 months,as well as all-cause death,recurrent stroke and ICH during *** cSS−patients,CMB was associated with smaller haematoma(β−0.13;95%CI−0.22 to−0.03;p=0.009),but it still increased risks of recurrent ICH(OR 4.6;95%CI 1.3 to 15.6;p=0.015)and stroke(OR 2.0;95%CI 1.0 to 4.0;p=0.049).These effects of CMB became unremarkable in the context of cSS+.Conclusions Patients with different combinations of cSS and CMB have distinct patterns of short-term and l.ng-term *** CMB is related to restrained haematoma,it does not improve l.ng-term outcomes.

Transforming liquid flow fuel cells to controllable reactors for highlyefficient oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2, 5-furandicarboxylic acid at low temperature

Highly-efficient oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurtural(HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA) at low temperature with air as the oxidant is still ***,inspired by the respirato ry electron transport chain(ETC) of living cells mediated by electron carriers,we constructed artificial ETCs and transformed liquid flow fuel cells(lFFCs) to flexible reactors for efficient oxidation of HMF to produce FDCA under mild *** lFFC reactor employed an electrodeposition modified nickel foam as an anode to promote HMF oxidation and(VO_(2))_(2)SO_(4) as a cathode electron carrier to facilitate the electron transfer to *** reaction rate could be easily controlled by selecting the anode catalyst,adjusting the external loading and changing the cathodic electron carrier or oxidants.A maximal power density of 44.9 mW cm^(-2) at room temperature was achieved,while for FDCA production,short-circuit condition was preferred to achieve quick transfer of *** a single batch operation with 0.1 M initial HMF,FDCA yield reached 97.1%.By fed-batch operation,FDCA concentration reached 144.5 g l^(-1) with a total yield of 96%.Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3+) redox couple was the active species mediating the electron transfer,while both experimental and DFT calculation results indicated that HMFCA pathway was the preferred reaction mechanism.

Based on the unified Hauser–Feshbach and exciton model,which can describe the particle emission processes between discrete energy levels with energy,angular momentum,and parity conservations,a statistical theory of light nucleus reaction(STlN)is developed to calculate the double-differential cross-sections of the outgoing neutron and light charged particles for the proton-induced^(6) li reaction.A significant difference is observed between the p+^(6) li and p+^(7) li reactions owing to the discrepancies in the energy-level structures of the *** reaction channels,including sequential and simultaneous emission processes,are analyzed in *** the double-differential cross-sections of the outgoing proton as an example,the influence of contaminations(such as^(1) H,^(7)li,^(12)C,and^(16)O)on the target is identified in terms of the kinetic energy of the first emitted *** optical potential parameters of the proton are obtained by fitting the elastic scattering differential *** calculated total double-differential cross-sections of the outgoing proton and deuteron at E_(p)=14 MeV agree well with the experimental data for different outgoing ***,the mixed double differential cross-sections of^(3) He andαare in good agreement with the *** agreement between the measured data and calculated results indicates that the two-body and three-body breakup reactions need to be considered,and the pre-equilibrium reaction mechanism dominates the reaction *** on the STlN model,a PlUNF code for the p+^(6) li reaction is developed to obtain an ENDF-6-formatted file of the double-differential cross-sections of the nucleon and light composite charged particles.

Modulated noble metal/2D MOF heterostructures for improved hydrogen storage of MgH_(2)

The conjugation of external species with twodimensional(2D)materials has broad application *** this study,we have explored the potential of noble metal/2D MOF heterostructures in hydrogen ***,the MgH_(2)-Ni-MOF@Pd system has shown remarkable hydrogen desorption/sorption performances,starting to liberate hydrogen at 1810C,which is 2300C lower than that of pristine *** the catalytic effect of Ni-MOF@Pd,the dehydrogenation apparent activation energy of MgH2 is noticeably decreased from(133.5±17.5)to(34.58±1.87)kJ·mol^(-1),and the hydrogenation apparent activation energy is reduced from(70.41±7.43)to(25.78±4.64)kJ·mol^(-1),which is lowered by 63.4%.The fully-dehydrogenated MgH2-NiMOF@Pd composite rapidly uptakes hydrogen,with 2.62wt%at 100℃and 6.06 wt%at 150℃within 300 s,*** mechanism analysis of MgH2 catalyzed by Ni-MOF@Pd has revealed that the transformation of Mg_2Ni and Mg_2NiH_4 could act as a"hydrogen pump",providing numerous channels for fast diffusion and transport of hydrogen ***,in the dehydrogenation process,the element Pd reacts with MgH_(2)to form the MgPd alloy phase,which makes MgH_(2)take precedence to decompose through the Mg-Pd alloy rather than self-decomposition,further reducing thermal stability and improving de/hydrogenation *** synergistic effect of Mg-Pd,Mg_2Ni,and the special ultra-thin 2D sheet structure of the additive is the main reason for the good hydrogen storage property of MgH_(2)-Ni-MOF@*** findings provide inspiration for designing efficient multifunctional additives with unique morphologies to optimize the hydrogen desorption/sorption behaviors of hydrogen storage materials.
