A Novel Model for the Prediction of Liquid Film Thickness Distribution in Pipe Gas-Liquid Flows

A model is proposed for liquid film profile prediction in gas-liquid two-phase flow,which is able to provide the film thickness along the circumferential direction and the pressure gradient in the flow direction.A two-fluid model is used to calculate both gas and liquid phases’flow *** secondary flow occurring in the gas phase is taken into account and a sailing boat mechanism is ***,energy conservation is applied for obtaining the liquid film thickness distribution along the *** film thickness distribution is calculated accordingly for different cases;its values are compared with other models and available experimental *** a result,the newly proposed model is tested and good performances are *** liquid film thickness distribution in small pipes and inclined pipes is also studied,and regime transition is revealed by liquid film profile *** observed inflection point demonstrates that the liquid film thickness decreases steeply along the circumference,when the circle angle ranges between 30°and 50°for gas-liquid stratified flow with small superficial velocities.

To address the two critical issues of evaluating the necessity of implementing cooling techniques and achieving real-time temperature control of drilling fluids underground in the current drilling fluid cooling technology,we first established a temperature and pressure coupled downhole heat transfer model,which can be used in both water-based and oil-based drilling ***,fourteen factors,which could affect wellbore temperature,were *** on the standard deviation of the downhole temperature corresponding to each influencing factor,the influence of each factor was *** influencing factors that can be used to guide the drilling fluid's cooling technology were drilling fluid thermal conductivity,drilling fluid heat capacity,drilling fluid density,drill strings rotation speed,pump rate,viscosity,ROP,and injection *** nondominated sorting genetic algorithm was used to optimize these six parameters,but the optimization process took 182 *** these eight parameters'influence rules with the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm can reduce the optimization time to 108 ***,the downhole temperature has been demonstrated to increase with the inlet temperature increasing linearly under quasi-steady *** this law and PID,the downhole temperature can be controlled,which can reduce the energy for cooling the surface drilling fluid and can ensure the downhole temperature reaches the set value as soon as possible.

In this paper,we optimize the spectrum efficiency(sE)of uplink massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)system with imperfect channel state information(CsI)over Rayleigh fading *** sE optimization problem is formulated under the constraints of maximum power and minimum rate of each ***,we develop a near-optimal power allocation(PA)scheme by using the successive convex approximation(sCA)method,Lagrange multiplier method,and block coordinate descent(BCD)method,and it can obtain almost the same sE as the benchmark scheme with lower *** this scheme needs three-layer iteration,a suboptimal PA scheme is developed to further reduce the complexity,where the characteristic of massive MIMO(i.e.,numerous receive antennas)is utilized for convex reformulation,and the rate constraint is converted to linear *** suboptimal scheme only needs single-layer iteration,thus has lower complexity than the near-optimal ***,we joint design the pilot power and data power to further improve the performance,and propose an two-stage algorithm to obtain joint *** results verify the effectiveness of the proposed schemes,and superior sE performance is achieved.

Nowadays,there has been an increasing focus on integrated flight propulsion control and the inlet-exhaust design for the aero-propulsion *** component-level models are inadequate due to installed performance deviations and mismatches between the real engine and the model,failing to meet the accuracy requirements of supersonic *** paper establishes a quasi-one-dimensional model for the inlet-exhaust system and conducts experimental ***,a mechanism-data fusion adaptive modeling scheme using an Extreme Learning Machine based on the salp swarm Algorithm(ssA-ELM)is *** study reveals the inlet model’s efficacy in reflecting installed performance,flow matching,and mitigating pressure distortion,while the nozzle model accurately predicts flow coefficients and thrust coefficients,and identifies various operational *** model’s output closely aligns with typical experimental *** combining offline optimization and online adaptive correction,the mechanismdata fusion adaptive model substantially reduces output errors during regular flights and varying levels of degradation,and effectively handles gradual degradation within a single flight ***,the mechanism-data fusion adaptive model holistically addresses total pressure errors within the inlet-exhaust system and normal shock location *** approach significantly curbs performance deviations in supersonic *** example,at Ma=2.0,the system error impressively drops from 34.17%to merely 6.54%,while errors for other flight conditions consistently stay below the 2.95%*** findings underscore the clear superiority of the proposed method.

Arctic sea ice is broadly regarded as an indicator and amplifier of global climate *** rapid changes in Arctic sea ice have been widely ***,the spatiotemporal changes in the horizontal and vertical dimensions of Arctic sea ice and its asymmetry during the melt and freeze seasons are rarely quantified simultaneously based on multiple sources of the same long time *** this study,the spatiotemporal variation and freeze-thaw asymmetry of Arctic sea ice were investigated from both the horizontal and vertical dimensions during 1979–2020 based on remote sensing and assimilation *** results indicated that Arctic sea ice was declining at a remarkably high rate of–5.4×10^(4) km^(2)/a in sea ice area(sIA)and–2.2 cm/a in sea ice thickness(sIT)during 1979 to 2020,and the reduction of sIA and sIT was the largest in summer and the smallest in ***,compared with other sub-regions,sIA showed a sharper declining trend in the Barents sea,Kara sea,and East siberian sea,while sIT presented a larger downward trend in the northern Canadian Archipelago,northern Greenland,and the East siberian *** to the seasonal trend of sea ice on sub-region scale,the reduction rate of sIA exhibited an apparent spatial heterogeneity among seasons,especially in summer and winter,i.e.,the sub-regions linked to the open ocean exhibited a higher decline rate in winter;however,the other sub-regions blocked by the coastlines presented a greater decline rate in *** sIT,the sub-regions such as the Beaufort sea,East siberian sea,Chukchi sea,Central Arctic,and Canadian Archipelago always showed a higher downward rate in all ***,a striking freeze-thaw asymmetry of Arctic sea ice was also *** sea ice changes in different dimensions,sea ice over most regions in the Arctic showed an early retreat and rapid advance in the horizontal dimension but late melting and gradual freezing in the vertical *** amount of sea ice me
