In order to prepare monolayer brazed superabrasive wheels, the polycrystalline cubic boron nitride（PCBN）grains were brazed to AISI 1045 steel matrix with Ag–Cu–Ti filler alloy using the high-frequency induction heating technique. The compressive strengths of brazed grains were measured. Morphology, chemical composition and phase component of the brazing resultant around PCBN grain were also characterized. The results show that the maximum compressive strength of brazed grains is obtained in the case of brazing temperature of 965 °C, which does not decrease the original grain strength. Strong joining between Ag–Cu–Ti alloy and PCBN grains is dependent on the brazing resultants,such as TiB_2, TiN and AlTi_3, the formation mechanism of which is also discussed. Under the given experimental conditions, the optimum heating parameters were determined to be current magnitude of 24 A and scanning speed of0.5 mm/s. Finally, the brazing-induced residual tensile stress, which has a great influence on the grain fracture behavior in grinding, was determined through finite element analysis.

Herein,by optimizing nano-ZnO template,N-doped hollow carbon microtubules with controllable thickness are synthesized deriving from ZnO@zeolitic lmidazolate framework(ZIF-8)nanorod by template self-consumption method,and a superior structure with graphene-like layers of an average length of 5μm and diameter of 200 nm are proposed to be used as the cathode carries for Li-S *** electrochemical testing,we found that the prepared hollow carbon microtubules have higher discharge capacity and better rate performance than the ZIF-8 derived carbon,showing potential application *** work provides a feasible way for the preparation of monodisperse graphene-like hollow materials.

To explore the nest survival rate of Reeves＇ s pheasant（Syrmaticus reevesii） and the nest-site factors that affect it, we conducted artificial nest experiments with reference to natural nests at Dongzhai National Nature Reserve（DNNR）, Henan Province and Pingjingguan, Hubei Province from April to June 2014 simulating the situation in its early and later breeding season. We also determined distance characteristics of the nest sites by Arc GIS 10.0. Nest survival models were constructed in Program MARK for data analysis. Results indicated that in the early breeding season, the apparent survival rate（ASR） in DNNR（52.4%） was significantly greater than that in Pingjingguan（13.5%）, and the ASR in the later breeding season in DNNR（26.7%） was not indistinctively correlated with Pingjingguan（3.2%）. The daily survival rate（DSR） in the later breeding season was 93.8% in DNNR and 92.0% in Pingjingguan, respectively. The DSRs were both negatively correlated with nest distance to forest edges and settlements. The DSR in Pingjingguan was positively correlated with nest distance to paths and negatively correlated with nest distance to water sources. However, the DSR in DNNR was negatively correlated with nest distance to paths but positively correlated with nest distance to water sources.

Hydrogel-based triboelectric nanoge nerator(TENG)has a promising applied prospect in wearable electronic ***,its low performance,poor stability,insufficient recyclability and inferior self-healing seriously hinder its ***,we report a robust route to a liquid metal(LM)/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)hydrogel-based TENG(LP-TENG).Owing to the intrinsically liquid feature of conductive LM within the flexible PVA hydrogel,the as-prepared LP-TENG exhibited comprehensiye advantages of adaptability,biocompatibility,outstanding electrical performance,superior stability,recyclability and diverse applications,which were unattainable by traditional ***,the LP-TENG delivered appealing open circuit voltage of 250 V,short circuit current of 4μA and transferred charge of 120 nC with high stability,outperforming most advanced TENG *** LP-TENG was successfully employed for versatile applications with multifunctionality,including human motion detection,handwriting recognition,energy collection,message transmission and human-machine *** work presents significant prospects for crafting advanced materials and devices in the fields of wearable electronics,flexible skin and smart robots.

AIM:To observe the effects of N-acetylserotonin(NAS)administration on retinal ischemia-reperfusion(RIR)injury in rats and explore the underlying mechanisms involving the high mobility group box 1(HMGB1)/receptor for advanced glycation end-products(RAGE)/nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling ***:A rat model of RIR was developed by increasing the pressure of the anterior chamber of the *** male Sprague Dawley were randomly divided into five groups:sham group(n=8),RIR group(n=28),RIR+NAS group(n=28),RIR+FPS-ZM1 group(n=8)and RIR+NAS+FPS-ZM1 group(n=8).The therapeutic effects of NAS were examined by hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining,and retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)*** expression of interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β),HMGB1,RAGE,and nod-like receptor 3(NLRP3)proteins and the phosphorylation of nuclear factorkappa B(p-NF-κB)were analyzed by immunohistochemistry staining and Western blot *** expression of HMGB1 protein was also detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).RESULTS:H&E staining results showed that NAS significantly reduced retinal edema and increased the number of RGCs in RIR *** NAS therapy,the HMGB1 and RAGE expression decreased significantly,and the activation of the NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway was antagonized along with the inhibition of p-NF-κB and NLRP3 protein ***,NAS exhibited an anti-inflammatory effect by reducing IL-1β*** inhibitory of RAGE binding to HMGB1 by RAGE inhibitor FPS-ZM1 led to a significant decrease of p-NF-κB and NLRP3 expression,so as to the IL-1βexpression and retinal edema,accompanied by an increase of RGCs in RIR ***:NAS may exhibit a neuroprotective effect against RIR via the HMGB1/RAGE/NF-κB signaling pathway,which may be a useful therapeutic target for retinal disease.

Two lindenane-type sesquiterpene (LDS) trimers with unprecedented carbon skeletons,holotrichones A(1) and B (2),were obtained from the whole plant of Chloranthus holostegius *** by a ultra performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array detector-mass spectrometry (UPLC-PDA-MS)-guided isolation *** 1 represents the first LDS trimer incorporating a unique 3/5/6/6-fused framework,in which a lindenane-type monomer and the 2-methylbutyryl substituent of an LDS dimer is bridged by a six-membered ring *** 2 is the first hetero-trimer fused by an LDS dimer with a p-benzoquinone-meroterpenoid,featuring an unusual 3/5/6/6/3/5/6/6/6 nonacyclic system fused by the sesquiterpenoid unit and a 2-geranyl-6-methyl-2,5-cyclohexadien-1,4-dione *** compound 2,the dimeric LDS moiety is equipped with a rare oxaspiro[4.5]decane *** structures,including absolute configurations,were established by spectroscopic methods,GIAO NMR calculations and DP4+probability analyses,electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations,and single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** plausible biogenetic pathway speculation indicated that hetero-and homo-DielsAlder additions may dominate the formation of these highly fused polycyclic *** compounds 1 and 2 induced the human acute myeloid leukemia MV-4–11 cell death via apoptosis induction,which deserves further investigation on this new chemical class of LDS oligomers for their anti-leukemic potential.
