Olefin polymerization is one of the most im portant chemical reactions in *** work presents a strategy that emphasizes the synergistic meta/poro-steric hindrance of N-aryl groups and electronic effects in newly synthesized neutral salicylaldiminato nickel *** nickel(Ⅱ)catalysts exhibit exceptional thermostability,ranging from 30℃to 130℃,demonstrating enhanced catalytic activities and broadly regulated polyethylene molecular weights(3-341 kg·mol^(-1))and controlled polymer branch density(2-102 brs/1000C).The preferred catalyst Ni3 with concerted steric and electronic effects enables the production of solid-state semi-crystalline polyethylene materials at temperatures below 90℃.Notably,Ni3 exhibits an impressive tolerance of 110℃and can withstand even the challenging polymerization temperature of 130℃,leading to the production of polyethylene wax and ***,functionalized polyethylene is produced.

Numerical simulation study on the hygrothermal performance of building exterior walls under dynamic wind-driven rain condition

Wind-driven rain(WDR)has a significant influence on the hygrothermal performance,durability,and energy consumption of building *** calculation of WDR loads using semi-empirical models has been incorporated into the boundary conditions of coupled heat and moisture transfer ***,prior research often relied on fixed WDR absorption ratio,which fail to accurately capture the water absorption characteristics of porous building materials under rainfall ***,this study aims to investigate the coupled heat and moisture transfer of exterior walls under dynamic WDR boundary conditions,utilizing an empirically obtained WDR absorption ratio model based on field *** developed coupled heat and moisture transfer model is validated against the HAMSTAD *** findings reveal that the total WDR flux calculated with the dynamic WDR boundary is lower than that obtained with the fixed WDR boundary,with greater disparities observed in orientations experiencing higher WDR *** variations in moisture flow significantly impact the surface temperature and relative humidity of the walls,influencing the calculation of cooling and heating loads by different *** to the transient heat transfer model,the coupled heat and moisture transfer model incorporating dynamic WDR boundary exhibits maximum increases of 17.6%and 16.2%in cooling and heating loads,*** dynamic WDR boundary conditions provide more precise numerical values for surface moisture flux,offering valuable insights for the thermal design of building enclosures and load calculations for HVAC systems.

Magnetic skyrmions emerge when the energy of ferromagnetic exchange interaction promoting parallel alignment of spins enters in competition with energies favoring non-collinear alignment of spins such as Dzy aloshinskii-Moriya interaction(DMI),long-rang dipole-dipole interaction(DDI),or higher-order exchange *** perform an unbiased Monte Carlo simulation to study the DMI-based skyrmion nucleation and stabilization on the surface of magnetic nanotubular monolayer controlled by tuning constants of DDI(g) and next-nearest-neighbor antiferromagnetic exchange interaction(j') with appropriate *** g and j',the loosely distributed skyrmions initially nucleate on the surface of nanotube approaching to the magnetic field(h) direction with increasing h in the intermediate ***,the skyrmion size,shape,density,distribution and crystal structure,as well as its driven field range,are tailored by g and j'.This work demonstrates the skyrmion nucleation mechanisms in three-dimensional magnetic nanostructures with curvature effect and multiple interactions,serving as a benchmark for a guide to experimentalists for preparation of samples in magnetic skyrmion states.

Although lithium metal is considered a promising anode for advanced Li-S and Li-air batteries,the uncontrolled dendrite growth and infinite volume change impede its practical ***,we report an ideal framework composed of carbonized bacterial cellulose(CBC)nanofibers,which shows intrinsic lithiophilicity to molten lithium without any lithiophilic surface *** wetting behavior of molten lithium can be significantly improved because its surface functional groups provide thermodynamical driving force,and the high surface roughness derived from nanocracks leads to rapid infusion in *** hybrid anode exhibits long cycle life up to 2000 h and excellent deep stripping-platting capacity up to 20 mAh·cm^(-2).When the anode is assembled with LiFePO_(4) cathode,the full cell delivers a good cycling stability up to 700 *** is attributed to the intrinsic lithiophilic scaffold,which can not only lower the nucleation barrier of Li and provide uniform nucleation sites for stable Li stripping/plating,but also offer interspace to accommodate volume fluctuation of lithium during long *** work provides a new manner to achieve a series of intrinsic lithiophilic carbon skeletons based on the large family of biomass materials and organic materials.

Considering the challenge of aerodynamic heating,the development of high-performance insulating ce-ramic materials with lightweight and low thermal conductivity is crucially important for aerospace vehi-cles to achieve flight at high speed for a long *** this work,macro-porous silicon oxycarbide(SiOC)ceramics with directional pores(DP-SiOC)(mean pore size of 88.1μm)were prepared using polysiloxane precursors via freeze casting and photocrosslinking,followed by *** DP-SiOC samples were lightweight(density∼0.135 g cm^(-3))with a porosity of 90.4%,which showed good shapability through the molding of polysiloxane *** DP-SiOC samples also exhibited an ultra-low thermal con-ductivity of 0.048 W(m K)^(-1)at room temperature,which can also withstand heat treatment at 1200°C for 1 *** addition,scaffolds with triply periodic minimal surfaces(TPMS)were fabricated using digital light processing(DLP)printing,which was further filled with polysiloxane precursors for increasing the strength of *** TPMS scaffolds filled with macro-porous SiOC ceramics(TPMS-DP-SiOC)showed good integration between TPMS and macro-pore structures,which had a porosity∼75%and high specific strength of 9.73×10^(3)N m kg^(-1).The thermal conductivity of TPMS-DP-SiOC samples was 0.255 W(m K)^(-1)at room *** biomimetic TPMS-DP-SiOC ceramics developed in this study are likely used for thermal protection systems.

U-Net has achieved good performance with the small-scale datasets through skip connections to merge the features of the low-level layers and high-level layers and has been widely utilized in biomedical image segmentation as well as recent microstructure image segregation of the *** representative visual attention mechanism modules,named as squeeze-and-excitation networks,convolutional block attention module,and extended calibration algorithm,were intro-duced into the traditional U-Net architecture to further improve the prediction *** is found that compared with the original U-Net architecture,the evaluation index of the improved U-Net architecture has been significantly improved for the microstructure segmentation of the steels with the ferrite/martensite composite microstructure and pearlite/ferrite composite microstructure and the complex martensite/austenite island/bainite microstructure,which demonstrates the advantages of the utilization of the visual attention mechanism in the microstructure *** reasons for the accuracy improvement were discussed based on the feature maps analysis.

Improving flangeability of multiphase steel by increasing microstructural homogeneity

Multiphase microstructure significantly increases the strength,usually at the expense of flangeability because of lacking microstructure *** further improve the strength-flangeability of multiphase steel,the microstructural homogeneity was advanced by adjusting the hard martensite/austenite(M/A)*** strength-flangeability was measured via uniaxial tensile tests and hole expansion *** microstructures were characterized using a scanning electron microscope equipped with an electron backscatter diffraction detector and a transmission electron *** tests were supplementally used to quantitatively reveal the microstructural homogeneity of the *** show that the adjusted multiphase steel achieves an excellent ultimate tensile strength(~800 MPa)and flangeability(~135%hole expansion ratio).A promising homogeneous multiphase microstructure was obtained by controlling undercooled austenite transformed at about 600℃.This microstructure consists of soft polygonal ferrite,blocky bainitic ferrite,and hard M/A *** volume fraction of M/A islands is around 5%,and the average size is less than l *** nanoindentation analysis indicated that the participation of M/A islands impressively influenced the microstructural *** strain partition and better mechanical compatibility were present in the adjusted multiphase steel since the plasticity initiation started late,which resulted in a positive ***,avoiding M/A islands distributed in the chain along the rolling direction on the matrix hindered the possibility of voids coalescing into cracks and stabilized the flanging performance.

Water decoupling charge blasting excels in rock breaking,relying on its uniform pressure transmission and low energy *** water decoupling coefficients can adjust the contributions of the stress wave and quasi-static ***,the quantitative relationship between the two contributions is unclear,and it is difficult to provide reasonable theoretical support for the design of water decoupling *** this study,a theoretical model of blasting fracturing partitioning is *** mechanical mechanism and determination method of the optimal decoupling coefficient are *** reliability is verified through model experiments and a field *** results show that with the increasing of decoupling coefficient,the rock breaking ability of blasting dynamic action decreases,while quasi-static action increases and then *** ability of quasi-static action to wedge into cracks changes due to the spatial adjustment of the blast hole and crushed *** quasi-static action plays a leading role in the fracturing range,determining an optimal decoupling *** optimal water decoupling coefficient is not a fixed value,which can be obtained by the proposed theoretical *** with the theoretical results,the maximum error in the model experiment results is 8.03%,and the error in the field test result is 3.04%.

Polarization-sensitive photodetection and imaging have great application value in fields such as polarization division multiplexing optical communication,remote sensing,near-field imaging and military *** a high polarization ratio has always been the research hotspot in polarization-sensitive *** this paper,we report a compression strain enhanced polarization ratio inβ-gallium oxide(β-Ga_(2)O_(3))single crystal flake.A rigorous crystallographic analysis confirmed its high crystalline quality and ***-resolved polarization Raman spectroscopy(ARPRS)was adopted to study the anisotropy of its optical *** ARPRS measurements and theoretical calculation consistently demonstrate the strong optical anisotropy in the high-qualityβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)flake.A polarization ratio of 0.96 was obtained in the flatβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)***,mechanical strain of±0.7%was introduced intoβ-Ga_(2)O_(3).An increased polarization ratio of 0.98 was achieved in the case of 0.7%compression strain,which is,to the best of our knowledge,the highest value for UVC polarization-sensitive *** corresponds to an improved polarization rejection ratio of *** work proposed a new path towards improving polarization sensitivity by applying strain engineering in the active material.
