Event-Triggered Bipartite Consensus Tracking and Vibration Control of Flexible Timoshenko Manipulators Under Time-Varying Actuator Faults

For bipartite angle consensus tracking and vibration suppression of multiple Timoshenko manipulator systems with time-varying actuator faults,parameter and modeling uncertainties,and unknown disturbances,a novel distributed boundary event-triggered control strategy is proposed in this work.In contrast to the earlier findings,time-varying consensus tracking and actuator defects are taken into account simultaneously.In addition,the constructed event-triggered control mechanism can achieve a more flexible design because it is not required to satisfy the input-to-state condition.To achieve the control objectives,some new integral control variables are given by using back-stepping technique and boundary control.Moreover,adaptive neural networks are applied to estimate system uncertainties.With the proposed event-triggered scheme,control inputs can reduce unnecessary updates.Besides,tracking errors and vibration states of the closed-looped network can be exponentially convergent into some small fields,and Zeno behaviors can be excluded.At last,some simulation examples are given to state the effectiveness of the control algorithms.

The deep-sea clam Calyptogena marissinica is widely distributed in the Haima cold seep ecosystem on the northwes-tern slope of the South China Sea with low pH values,low temperature and high pressure.Limited information is available on the biomineralization of this species.In this research,we generated a comprehensive transcript dataset of C.marissinica’s mantle tissue,and a total of 19821 unigenes were assembled.Fourteen shell matrix proteins(SMP)-related genes were identified.The qPCR results showed that four out of six prismatic matrix genes(MSP2,MSP5,prisilkin-39,and shematrin),four out of the six nacreous matrix genes(perlucin,pif,pif97,and papilin),and two extrapallial fluid proteins(SPARC and calmodulin)were significantly expressed in the mantle.Both the nacreous and the prismatic layers are chrysanthemum-shaped,which are stacked on the top of each other to form a laminated nacreous structure.The alignment and phylogenetic analysis of MSP-5,Prisilkin-39,Perlucin,and Pif homologues showed that some amino acids of C.marissinica that differed from those detected in other molluscs may cause the different shape of the nacreous and prismatic layers,but do not lead to a change in the species’evolutionary status.These results indicated the conservation of the functions of SMP-related genes in C.marissinica,and the specific shape of the prismatic and nacreous layers of this deep-sea mollusc,which will contribute to the research on the molecular regulation mechanisms of biomineralization in C.marissinica and provide a new perspective to investigate biomineralization in deep-sea clams in general.

To the Editor:Probiotics are a promising treatment modality for functional constipation(FC);however,the factors affecting individual responses to probiotics remain unclear.Growing evidence has identified that there is a strong relationship among the gut microbiota and constipation and related gut-brain axis.[1]The gut microbiota may modulate the gut functions via gut metabolites or trigger the release of gut hormones,such as peptide YY,gastric inhibitory polypeptide,and 5-hydroxytryptamine.[2]In turn,gut hormones affect gut secretion,motility,and sensation through their receptors located on epithelial,enteric,and smooth muscle cells.[2]Based on these findings,exogenous probiotics have been used in patients with constipation;however,few have produced consistent results.[3]In this study,we investigated the efficacy and safety of several specific probiotics strains for constipation,and also examined the potential reasons for the individualized effects of probiotics,which may facilitate interventional decisionmaking for FC patients.

tWe proposed a facile synthesis of single-Ni-atom catalysts on low-cost porous carbon using a calcina-tion method at the temperatures of 850-1000°C,which were used for CO_(2)electrochemical reduction to CO.The porous carbon was prepared by carbonizing cheap and abundant humic acid.The structural characterizations of the as-synthesized catalysts and their electrocatalytic performances were analyzed.The results showed that the single-Ni-atom catalyst activated at 950°C showed an optimum catalytic performance,and it reached a CO Faradaic efficiency of 91.9%with a CO partial current density of 6.9 mAcm^(-2)at-0.9 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).Additionally,the CO Faradaic efficiency and current density of the optimum catalyst changed slightly after 8 h of continuous operation,suggesting that it possessed an excellent stability.The structure-activity relations indicate that the variation in the CO_(2)electroche-mical reduction performance for the as-synthesized cataly-sts is ascribed to the combined effects of the increase in the content of pyrrolic N,the evaporation of Ni and N,the decrease in pore volume,and the change in graphitization degree.

Gas therapy is emerging as a highly promising therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment.However,there are limitations,including the lack of targeted subcellular organelle accuracy and spatiotemporal release precision,associated with gas therapy.In this study,we developed a series of photoactivatable nitric oxide(NO)donors NRh-R-NO(R=Me,Et,Bn,iPr,and Ph)based on an N-nitrosated upconversion luminescent rhodamine scaffold.Under the irradiation of 808 nm light,only NRh-Ph-NO could effectively release NO and NRh-Ph with a significant turn-on frequency upconversion luminescence(FUCL)signal at 740 nm,ascribed to lower N-N bond dissociation energy.We also investigated the involved multistage near-infrared-controlled cascade release of gas therapy,including the NO released from NRh-Ph-NO along with one NRh-Ph molecule generation,the superoxide anion O_(2)^(⋅−)produced by the photodynamic therapy(PDT)effect of NRh-Ph,and highly toxic peroxynitrite anion(ONOO‒)generated from the co-existence of NO and O_(2)^(⋅−).After mild nano-modification,the nanogenerator(NRh-Ph-NO NPs)empowered with superior biocompatibility could target mitochondria.Under an 808 nm laser irradiation,NRh-Ph-NO NPs could induce NO/ROS to generate RNS,causing a decrease in the mitochondrial membrane potential and initiating apoptosis by caspase-3 activation,which further induced tumor immunogenic cell death(ICD).In vivo therapeutic results of NRh-Ph-NO NPs showed augmented RNS-potentiated gas therapy,demonstrating excellent biocompatibility and effective tumor inhibition guided by real-time FUCL imaging.Collectively,this versatile strategy defines the targeted RNS-mediated cancer therapy.

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer has a high incidence and fatality rate,and surgery is the preferred course of treatment.Nonetheless,patient survival rates are still low,and the incidence of major postoperative complications cannot be disregarded.The systemic inflammatory response,nutritional level,and coagulation status are key factors affecting the postoperative recovery and prognosis of gastric cancer patients.The systemic inflammatory response index(SIRI)and the albumin fibrinogen ratio(AFR)are two valuable comprehensive indicators of the severity and prognosis of systemic inflammation in various medical conditions.AIM To assess the clinical importance and prognostic significance of the SIRI scores and the AFR on early postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing radical gastric cancer surgery.METHODS We conducted a retrospective analysis of the clinicopathological characteristics and relevant laboratory indices of 568 gastric cancer patients from January 2018 to December 2019.We calculated and compared two indicators of inflammation and then examined the diagnostic ability of combined SIRI and AFR values for serious early postoperative complications.We scored the patients and categorized them into three groups based on their SIRI and AFR levels.COX analysis was used to compare the three groups of patients the prognostic value of various preoperative SIRI-AFR scores for 5-year overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS).RESULTS SIRI-AFR scores were an independent risk factor for prognosis[OS:P=0.004;hazards ratio(HR)=3.134;DFS:P<0.001;HR=3.543]and had the highest diagnostic power(area under the curve:0.779;95%confidence interval:0.737-0.820)for early serious complications in patients with gastric cancer.The tumor-node-metastasis stage(P=0.001),perioperative transfusion(P=0.044),positive carcinoembryonic antigen(P=0.014)findings,and major postoperative complications(P=0.011)were factors associated with prognosis.CONCLUSION Preoperative SIRI and AFR values were significantly associated with early postoperative

Optical communication is a particularly compelling technology for tackling the speed and capacity bottlenecks in data communication in modern society. Currently, the silicon photodetector plays a dominant role in high-speed optical communication across the visible-near-infrared spectrum. However, its intrinsic rigid structure, high working bias and low responsivity essentially limit its application in next-generation flexible optoelectronic devices. Herein, we report a narrow-bandgap non-fullerene acceptor（NFA） with a remarkable π-extension in the direction of both central and end units（CH17） with respect to the Y6 series, which demonstrates a more effective and compact 3D molecular packing, leading to lower trap states and energetic disorders in the photoactive film. Consequently, the optimized solution-processed organic photodetector（OPD） with CH17 exhibits a remarkable response time of 91 ns（λ = 880 nm） due to the high charge mobility and low parasitic capacitance, exceeding the values of most commercial Si photodiodes and all NFA-based OPDs operating in self-powered mode. More significantly, the flexible OPD exhibits negligible performance attenuation（<1%） after bending for 500 cycles, and maintains 96% of its initial performance even after 550 h of indoor exposure. Furthermore, the high-speed OPD demonstrates a high data transmission rate of 80 MHz with a bit error rate of 3.5 × 10-4, meaning it has great potential in next-generation high-speed flexible optical communication systems.

Spinel cobalt oxide(Co_(3)O_(4)),consisting of tetrahedral Co^(2+)(CoTd)and octahedral Co^(3+)(CoOh),is considered as promising earth-abundant electrocatalyst for chlorine evolution reaction(CER).Identifying the catalytic contribution of geometric Co site in the electrocatalytic CER plays a pivotal role to precisely modulate electronic configuration of active Co sites to boost CER.Herein,combining density functional theory calculations and experiment results assisted with operando analysis,we found that the Co_(Oh) site acts as the main active site for CER in spinel Co_(3)O_(4),which shows better Cl^(-)adsorption and more moderate intermediate adsorption toward CER than CoTd site,and does not undergo redox transition under CER condition at applied potentials.Guided by above findings,the oxygen vacancies were further introduced into the Co_(3)O_(4) to precisely manipulate the electronic configuration of Co_(Oh) to boost Cl^(-)adsorption and optimize the reaction path of CER and thus to enhance the intrinsic CER activity significantly.Our work figures out the importance of geometric configuration dependent CER activity,shedding light on the rational design of advanced electrocatalysts from geometric configuration optimization at the atomic level.

Macrocycle confinement induced guest near-infrared(NIR)luminescence was research hotspot currently.Here in,we reported a cucurbit[7]uril(CB[7])confined 3,7-bis((E)-2-(pyridin-4-yl)vinyl)-10-Hphenothiazine bridged bis(4-(4-bromophenyl)pyridine)(G),which not only boosted its NIR luminescence but also realized detection of HClO/ClO^(-)in living cells and lysosome imaging.Fluorescence spectroscopy experiments were performed to calculate the detection ability of probe G to HClO/ClO^(-)up to 147 nmol/L.As compared with G,supramolecular probe G■CB[7]formed after encapsulated by CB[7],the detection ability towards HClO/ClO^(-)was improved to 24 nmol/L which was ascribe to the macrocycle CB[7]confinement increasing the fluorescence intensity to 103 folds.Accompanying the excitation wavelength changing,the fluorescence red-shifted to 820 nm when excited by 570 nm light,which was used to NIR lysosome imaging.Meanwhile,the supramolecular assembly G■CB[7]was also successfully used to highly sense to exogenous HClO/ClO^(-)in RAW 264.7 cells and live animal.
