Nano-silicon(nano-Si)and its composites have been regarded as the most promising negative electrode materials for producing the next-generation Li-ion batteries(LIBs),due to their ultrahigh theoretical ***,the commercial applications of nano Si-based negative electrode materials are constrained by the low cycling stability and high *** molten salt electrolysis of SiO_(2)is proven to be suitable to produce nano-Si with the advantages of in-situ microstructure control possibilities,cheap affordability and scale-up process ***,an economical approach for electrolysis,with a SiO_(2)/graphite porous electrode as cathode,is adopted to produce nano-Si/graphite composite negative electrode materials(SGNM)in this *** electrolytic product of the optimized porous electrode is taken as the negative electrode materials for LIBs,and it offers a capacity of 733.2 mAh·g^(-1)and an initial coulombic efficiency of 86.8%in a coin-type ***,the capacity of the SGNM retained 74.1%of the initial discharging capacity after 50 cycles at 0.2C,which is significantly higher than that of the simple mixture of silicon and graphite obtained from the formation of silicon carbide(SiC)between nano-Si and graphite ***,this new approach can be applied to a large-scale production.

Directed energy deposition-arc(DED-Arc)technology has the advantages of simple equipment,low manufacturing cost and high deposition rate,while the use of DED-Arc has problems of microstructure inhomogeneity,position dependence of macroscopic mechanical properties and ***,it is necessary to carry out a subsequent heat treatment to improve its microstructure uniformity,mechanical properties and *** this investigation,the DED-Arc 15-layer NiTi alloy thin-walled parts with the solution treatment at different process parameters were studied to analyze the effects of solution heat treatment on microstructure,phase composition,phase transformation,microhardness,tensile and *** temperature range of solution treatment is 800-1050℃,and the treatment time range is 1-5.5 *** results show that after solution treatment at 800℃/1 h,the content of precipitated phase decreases,the grain is refined,the microhardness increases,and the mechanical properties in the 0°direction are *** strain recovery rate after 10 tensile cycles has increased from 37.13%(as-built)to 49.25%(solid solution treatment).This research provides an effective post treatment method for high-performance DED-Arc NiTi shape memory alloys.

Electrolytic water splitting(EWS)is an attractive and promising technique for the production of hydrogen ***,the sluggish kinetic rate of hydrogen/oxygen evolution reactions leads to a high overpotential and low energy *** to date,Pt/Ir-based nanocatalysts have become the state-of-the-art EWS catalysts,but disadvantages such as high cost and low earth abundance greatly limit their applications in EWS *** an attractive candidate for the Pt/Ir catalysts,series of Ru-based nanomaterials have aroused much attention for their low price,Pt-like hydrogen bond strength,and high EWS *** particular,Ru-doped functional porous materials have been becoming one of the most representative EWS catalysts,which can not only achieve the dispersion and adjustment for active Ru sites,but also simultaneously solve the problems of mass transfer and catalytic conversion in *** this review,the design and preparation strategies of Ru-doped functional porous materials toward EWS in recent years are summarized,including Ru-doped metal organic frameworks(MOFs),Ru-doped porous organic polymers(POPs),and their ***,detailed structure–activity relationships induced by the tuned geometric/electronic structures of Ru-doped functional porous materials are further depicted in this *** but not least,the challenges and perspectives of Ru-doped functional porous materials catalysts are reasonably proposed to provide fresh ideas for the design of Ru-based EWS catalysts.

The Chinese Bayan Obo deposit is a world-class rare earth element(REE) deposit with considerable niobium(Nb) and iron(Fe) resources. A complete genetic understanding on all metals is fundamental for establishing genetic models at Bayan Obo. With extensive research being focused on REE enrichment, the timing and controls of Nb enrichment remain unresolved at Bayan Obo, which is mainly due to the challenges in dating, i.e. multistage thermal events, fine-grained minerals with complex textures and the rare occurrence of uranium-enriched minerals with mature dating methods. Based on robust geological and petrographic frameworks, here we conducted ion probe uranium-lead(U-Pb) dating of ferrocolumbite to unravel the timing, hence the genesis of Nb mineralization. Three types of hydrothermal ferrocolumbites—key Nb-bearing minerals—are identified based on their textures and mineral assemblages. They yield U-Pb ages of 1312 ± 47 Ma(n = 99), 438 ± 7 Ma(n = 93), and 268 ± 5 Ma(n = 19), respectively. In line with deposit geology, we tentatively link the first, second and third stage Nb mineralization to Mesoproterozoic carbonatite magmatism, ubiquitous early Paleozoic hydrothermal activity, and Permian granitic magmatism, respectively. While quantifying the contribution of metal endowment from each stage requires further investigation, our new dates highlight that multi-stage mineralization is critical for Nb enrichment at Bayan Obo, which may also have implications for the enrichment mechanism of Nb in REE deposits in general.

With the completion of the Chinese space station,an increasing number of extravehicular activities will be executed by astronauts,which is regarded as one of the most dangerous activities in human space *** guarantee the safety of astronauts and the successful accomplishment of missions,it is vital to determine the pose of astronauts during extravehicular *** article presents a monocular vision-based pose estimation method of astronauts during extravehicular activities,making full use of the available observation ***,the camera is calibrated using objects of known structures,such as the spacesuit backpack or the circular handrail outside the space ***,the pose estimation is performed utilizing the feature points on the *** proposed methods are validated both on synthetic and semi-physical simulation experiments,demonstrating the high precision of the camera calibration and pose *** further evaluate the performance of the methods in real-world scenarios,we utilize image sequences of Shenzhou-13 astronauts during extravehicular *** experiments validate that camera calibration and pose estimation can be accomplished solely with the existing observation resources,without requiring additional complicated *** motion parameters of astronauts lay the technological foundation for subsequent applications such as mechanical analysis,task planning,and ground training of astronauts.

Damaged structures on coral islands have been spalling and cracking due to the dual corrosion of tides and *** ensure easy access to aggregate materials,magnesium potassium phosphate cement(MKPC)and coral sand(CS)are mixed to repair damaged structures on coral ***,CS is significantly different from land-sourced sand in mineral composition,particle morphology,and *** has a substantial impact on the hydration characteristics and macroscopic properties of MKPC ***,in this study we investigated the compressive strength,interfacial mechanical properties,and corrosion resistance of MKPC CS *** in the morphology,microstructure,and relative contents of hydration products were revealed by scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer(SEM-EDS)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results indicated that the compressive strength increased linearly with the interfacial micro-hardness,and then stabilized after long-term immersion in pure water and Na2SO4 solution,showing excellent corrosion *** with MKPC river sand(RS)mortar,the hydration products of CS mortar were an intermediate product 6KPO2·8H2O with a relative content of 3.9%at 1 h and 4.1%at 12 *** hydration product MgKPO_(4)·6H_(2)O increased rapidly after 7-d curing,with an increased growth rate of 1100%.Our results showed that CS promoted the nucleation and formation of hydration products of MKPC,resulting in better crystallinity,tighter overlapping,and a denser interfacial transition *** results of this study provide technical support for applying MKPC mortar as a rapid repair material for damaged structures on coral islands.

Sirtuins(SIRTs)are nicotine adenine dinucleotide(+)-dependent histone deacetylases regulating critical signaling pathways in prokaryotes and eukaryotes,and are involved in numerous biological ***,seven mammalian homologs of yeast Sir2 named SIRT1 to SIRT7 have been *** evidence has suggested the vital roles of seven members of the SIRT family in health and disease ***,this protein family plays a variety of important roles in cellular biology such as inflammation,metabolism,oxidative stress,and apoptosis,etc.,thus,it is considered a potential therapeutic target for different kinds of pathologies including cancer,cardiovascular disease,respiratory disease,and other ***,identification of SIRT modulators and exploring the functions of these different modulators have prompted increased efforts to discover new small molecules,which can modify SIRT ***,several randomized controlled trials have indicated that different interventions might affect the expression of SIRT protein in human samples,and supplementation of SIRT modulators might have diverse impact on physiological function in different *** this review,we introduce the history and structure of the SIRT protein family,discuss the molecular mechanisms and biological functions of seven members of the SIRT protein family,elaborate on the regulatory roles of SIRTs in human disease,summarize SIRT inhibitors and activators,and review related clinical studies.
