Background Prenatal bisphenol exposure has been reported to be associated with lower birth weight and obesity-related indicators in early *** findings warrant an investigation of the relationship between prenatal bisphenol exposure and the dynamic growth of *** study aimed to evaluate the relationship of maternal bisphenol concentration in urine with the body mass index(BMI)growth trajectory of children aged up to two years and to identify the critical exposure *** A total of 826 mother–offspring pairs were recruited from Wuhan Children’s Hospital between November 2013 and March *** urine samples collected during the first,second,and third trimesters were analyzed for bisphenol A(BPA),bisphenol S,and bisphenol F(BPF)*** of length and weight were taken at 0,1,3,6,8,12,18,and 24 ***'s BMI was standardized using the World Health Organization reference,and group-based trajectory modeling was used to identify BMI growth *** associations between prenatal bisphenol exposure and BMI growth trajectory patterns were assessed using multinomial logistic regression *** The BMI growth trajectories of the 826 children were categorized into four patterns:low-stable(n=134,16.2%),low-increasing(n=142,17.2%),moderate-stable(n=350,42.4%),and moderate-increasing(n=200,24.2%).After adjusting for potential confounders,we observed that prenatal exposure to BPA during the second trimester[odds ratio(OR)=2.20,95%confidence interval(CI)=1.09–4.43]and BPF during the third trimester(OR=3.28,95%CI=1.55–6.95)at the highest quartile concentration were associated with an increased likelihood of the low-increasing BMI ***,in the subgroup analysis by infant sex,the positive association between the highest quartile of prenatal average urinary BPF concentration during the whole pregnancy and the low-increasing BMI trajectory was found only in girls(OR=2.82,95%CI=1.04–7.68).Conclus

Gut microbiota and circulating metabolite dysbiosis predate important pathological changes in glucose metabolic disorders;however,comprehensive studies on impaired glucose tolerance(IGT),a diabetes mellitus(DM)precursor,are ***,we perform metagenomic sequencing and metabolomics on 47 pairs of individuals with IGT and newly diagnosed DM and 46 controls with normal glucose tolerance(NGT);patients with IGT are followed up after 4 years for progression to *** of baseline data reveals significant differences in gut microbiota and serum metabolites among the IGT,DM,and NGT *** addition,13 types of gut microbiota and 17 types of circulating metabolites showed significant differences at baseline before IGT progressed to DM,including higher levels of Eggerthella unclassified,Coprobacillus unclassified,Clostridium ramosum,L-valine,L-norleucine,and L-isoleucine,and lower levels of Eubacterium eligens,Bacteroides faecis,Lachnospiraceae bacterium 3_1_46FAA,Alistipes senegalensis,Megaspaera elsdenii,Clostridium perfringens,α-linolenic acid,10E,12Z-octadecadienoic acid,and dodecanoic acid.A random forest model based on differential intestinal microbiota and circulating metabolites can predict the progression from IGT to DM(AUC=0.87).These results suggest that microbiome and metabolome dysbiosis occur in individuals with IGT and have important predictive values and potential for intervention in preventing IGT from progressing to DM.

Two-dimensional materials represent a major frontier for research into exotic many-body quantum phenomena. In the extreme two-dimensional limit, electron-electron interaction often dominates over other electronic energy scales, leading to strongly correlated effects such as quantum spin liquid and unconventional *** dominance is conventionally attributed to the lack of electron screening in the third dimension. Here, we discover an intriguing metal to Mott insulator transition in 1T-TaSe2that defies conventional wisdom. Specifically, we find that dimensionality crossover, instead of reduced screening, drives the transition in atomically thin 1T-TaSe2. A dispersive band crossing the Fermi level is found to be responsible for the bulk metallicity in the material. Reducing the dimensionality,however, effectively quenches the kinetic energy of these initially itinerant electrons, and drives the material into a Mott insulating *** dimensionality-driven metal to Mott insulator transition resolves the long-standing dichotomy between metallic bulk and insulating surface of 1T-TaSe2. Our work further reveals a new pathway for modulating two-dimensional materials that enables exploring strongly correlated systems across uncharted parameter space.

*** The Fankou giant zinc(Zn)-lead(Pb)deposit in Guangdong Province is well-known for its huge reserves of over 10 Mt(million ton)Zn+Pb metals and high ore-grade with Zn+Pb exceeding 15%(Guangdong Fankou Deposit Investigation Group,1980;Zhu XY et al.,2017).After 60 years of exploration and exploitation,the deposit has accumulated millions of tons of *** interesting question is that what components are hosted in these tailings,and whether some key and critical metals such as gallium and germanium are extremely enriched and worth further comprehensive *** motivated us to conduct an integrated set of field investigation,sampling,major-trace element analyses and reserve assessments about the Fankou *** this contribution,we discover that the tailings contain a variety of metal elements such as zinc,lead and gallium with comprehensive utilization *** data can act as a scientific guidance for further exploration and utilization of the Fankou tailings,and aid to enhance the utilization efficiency of the key mineral resource in *** study also provide demonstration for future green mine construction in China.

Panax notoginseng saponins(PNS)are a class of effective ingredients in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma,a well-known herbal medicine called San-Qi in *** oral administration,PNS inevitably interacts with gut microbiota,and thus affect the pharmacokinetic profiles and pharmacological *** date,studies concering gut microbiota-mediated metabolism of PNS have not been reviewed ***,we outline the metabolic profiles of Panax notoginseng saponins mediated by gut microbiota,as well as its role in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics on the basis of reported *** metabolic pathways of primary saponins are proposed,and step-by-step deglycosylation is found to be the primary degradation pathways of PNS mediated by gut *** microorganisms and enzymes involved in the metabolic processes were *** microbiota is deeply involved in the metabolism of PNS,affects the pharmacokinetic profiles,and produces a series of active *** metabolites were documented to play an essential role in the efficacy of the parent *** studies should focus on strengthening the real-world evidence,defining the interaction between gut microbiota and PNS,and developing the strategy for modulating gut microbiota to enhance the bioavailability and efficacy of *** information would be useful for further research and clinical application of PNS.

基于半导体变形微腔的定向激射效应,在各向同性薄膜中制备变形微腔,将为多功能、高集成光子有源芯片提供新的解决方案.利用二维波动光学理论,以Z切向掺饵铌酸锂薄膜蚶线形微盘中的TE20,1模式为例,分析了不同变形因子ε微盘的模式分布、品质因子Q、定向激射效果D以及庞加莱截面图.理论模拟结果显示,微盘变形过程中微盘周长与谐振波长的比值近似为一定值.当ε大于0.24时,微盘具有较好的单向激射性,Q值大于10^(5);当ε变形因子大于0.4时,庞加莱截面图几乎被混沌海区域占据,Q值低于10^(3).因此,薄膜蚶线形微盘变形因子ε在0.24—0.4之间时,微盘不仅具有高的品质因子(Q值为10^(3)—10^(5)),激射方向性也较高(D值为6.45—8.32).
