3D reconstruction was adopted to characterize the microstructural morphologies of Mg-3.0Nd-0.3Zn-0.6Zr alloy castings produced by high pressure die casting(HPDC)processes with different parameters,including low slow-shot speed,solidification pressurization and fast slow-shot *** low slow-shot speeds of 0.1 m·s^(-1),0.2 m·s^(-1) and 0.3 m·s^(-1),the porosity is concentrated in the center of the castings with one spiral staggered shape along the liquid flow *** porosity volume simultaneously decreases with the reduction of quantity and size of externally solidified crystals(ESCs),while the shrinkage pores become more and more dispersed with the increasing low slow-shot *** not only reduces the porosity volume due to the improvement of feeding ability,but also transformes the center gathered porosity into one layer-by-layer distribution *** with the increasing fast slow-shot speed,the central porosity dramatically decreases and transforms into a large-scale spiral staggered shape along the liquid flow ***,the porosity is much more dispersed when the speed is increased from 2 m·s^(-1) to 3 m·s^(-1).

Assembly of the top-down graphene units mostly results in 3D porous structure with randomly organized *** direct bottom-up synthesis of macroscopic 2D graphene sheets with organized pores are long sought in materials chemistry field,but rarely ***,we present a self-catalysisassisted bottom-up route usingL-glutamic acid and iron chloride as starting materials for the fabrication of the millimeter-sized few-layer graphene sheets with aligned porous channels parallel to the 2D *** amino-and carboxyl-functional groups inL-glutamic acid can coordinate with iron cations,thus allowing an atomic dispersion of iron *** pyrolysis thus initiated the growth of graphene catalyzed by in-situ generated iron nanoparticles,and a dynamic flow of iron nanoparticles eventually led to the formation of millimeter-sized few-layer graphene sheets with aligned channels(60-85 nm in diameter).Used as anodes in lithium-ion batteries,these graphene sheets showed a good rate capability(142 m A h g^(-1) at 2 A g^(-1))and high capacity retention of 93%at 2 A g^(-1) after 1200 *** analysis revealed that lithium ions storage was dominated by diffusion behavior and capacitive behavior together,in that graphene sheets with aligned channels could accelerate electron transfer and shorten lithium ions transport *** work provides a novel approach to prepare unique porous graphene materials with specific structure for energy storage.

OBJECTIVE To study the clinical pathologic characteristics and differential diagnosis of ureteral fibroepithelial polyps. METHODS One case of ureteral fibroepithelial polyps was studied by clinical data analysis and light microscopy. RESULTS The tumor was located in the lower ureter. Histologically, the polyp was composed of expanded blood vessels and fibrous connective tissue under normal or proliferous transitional epithelium. CONCLUSION Benign ureteral fibroepithelial polyps are extremely rare, recognition of it's precise histological features can facilitate its correct diagnosis.

Landscape Changes from 1974 to 1995 in the Upper Minjiang River Basin, China

Landscape changes were traced over the 20 years from 1974 to 1995 in the upper Minjiang River basin, one of the most important forest regions in China, based on satellite image interpretation to provide basic data for local decision-making as well as sustainable landscape use and management. Results revealed that landscape from 1974 to 1995 changed at the regional scale as the area of forestland decreased, while cropland, shrubland, economic forest, grassland, and built-up land increased. Landscape changes mainly occurred in forestland, shrubland, grassland, economic forest, and built-up land. Moreover, the changes among forestland, shrubland, and grassland were the largest, influencing the whole characteristics of the changes in the basin. Analysis of the changes between 1974 and 1995 in the study area indicated that landscape heterogeneity and fragmentation increased, whereas landscape connectivity decreased. There were multiple reasons for landscape changes. A principal component analysis (PCA) was used to quantitatively study driving forces of landscape changes. The PCA results showed that economic and population factors were the principal driving forces of landscape changes from 1974 to 1995 in the upper Minjiang River basin, and that PCA was a suitable method for investigating driving forces of landscape changes.

Objective: The purpose of this research was to examine the potential anticancer properties of Xiao Tan San Jie Fang(XTSJF) and its potential mechanism of action against colorectal cancer. Materials and Methods: HCT116 cells were induced into HCT116 spheres in DMEM/F12 medium by treatment with epidermal growth factor + fibroblast growth factor + leukemia inhibitory factor + B27. The proliferation ability and stemness of HCT116 spheres was examined. Various concentrations of XTSJF were used to treat HCT116 spheres to observe the impact on proliferation, apoptosis, and expression of stem cell markers. Next, Wnt/β-catenin pathway-related factor proteins were detected. Results: The findings revealed that XTSJF suppressed cell growth and induced cell death in HCT116 cells in a dosage-dependent manner. Similarly, XTSJF promotes apoptosis, inhibits cell proliferation, prolongs survival, and maintains the expression of stem cells through the Wnt/-catenin/TCF4 axis. XTSJF also inhibits AKT activity and subsequently activates glycogen synthesis kinase-3β expression, inhibiting Wnt/beta-catenin pathway activity and downstream target gene transcript expression. The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is inhibited by the XTSJF, leading to the suppression of colon cancer stem cell proliferation. Conclusion: Xiaotan Sanjie Prescription inhibited colon cancer stem cell growth through Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

The multicolor Ramsey number r_(k)(C_(4))is the smallest integer N such that any k-edge coloring of KN contains a monochromatic C_(4).The current best upper bound of r_(k)(C_(4))was obtained by Chung(1974)and independently by Irving(1974),i.e.,r_(k)(C_(4))≤k^(2)+k+1 for all k≥*** is no progress on the upper bound since *** this paper,we improve the upper bound of r_(k)(C_(4))by showing that r_(k)(C_(4))≤k^(2)+k-1 for even k≥*** improvement is based on the upper bound of the Turan number ex(n,C4),in which we mainly use the double counting method and many novel ideas from Firke,Kosek,Nash,and Williford[***,Ser.B 103(2013),327-336].

Non-ferrous metal smelting poses significant risks to public ***,the copper smelting process releases arsenic,a semi-volatile metalloid,which poses an emerging exposure risk to both workers and nearby *** comprehensively understand the internal exposure risks of metal(loid)s from copper smelting,we explored eighteen metal(loid)s and arsenic metabolites in the urine of both occupational and non-occupational populations using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with high-performance liquid chromatography and compared their health *** showed that zinc and copper(485.38 and 14.00μg/L),and arsenic,lead,cadmium,vanadium,tin and antimony(46.80,6.82,2.17,0.40,0.44 and 0.23μg/L,respectively)in workers(n=179)were significantly higher compared to controls(n=168),while Zinc,tin and antimony(412.10,0.51 and 0.15μg/L,respectively)of residents were significantly higher than ***,workers had a higher monomethyl arsenic percentage(MMA%),showing lower arsenic methylation *** appointment analysis identified arsenic,lead,cadmium,antimony,tin and thallium as co-exposure metal(loid)s from copper smelting,positively relating to the age of *** hazard index(HI)of workers exceeded 1.0,while residents and control were approximately at ***,all three populations had accumulated cancer risks exceeding 1.0×10^(-4),and arsenite(AsIII)was the main contributor to the variation of workers and ***,residents living closer to the smelting plant had higher health *** study reveals arsenic exposure metabolites and multiple metals as emerging contaminants for copper smelting exposure populations,providing valuable insights for pollution control in non-ferrous metal smelting.

Metal may affect maternal immune function,but few epidemiological studies have reported the associations between multiple-metal exposure and maternal immunoglobulin(Ig)*** on the Hangzhou Birth Cohort Study,1059 participants were included,and eleven metals in whole blood samples and serum IgA,IgG,IgE and IgM levels were *** regression,quantile-based g-computation(QGC),and Bayesian kernel machine regression(BKMR)models were used to evaluate the *** with the first tertile of metal levels,arsenic(As)was negatively associated with IgE(β=-0.25,95%confidence interval(CI)=-0.48 to-0.02).Moreover,significant associations of manganese(Mn)with IgA,IgG and IgM were demonstrated(β=0.10,95%CI=0.04 to 0.18;β=0.07,95%CI=0.03 to 0.12;β=0.10,95%CI=0.03 to 0.18,respectively).Cadmium(Cd)were associated with higher levels of *** models showed the positive association of the metalmixtures with IgA and IgG,with Mn playing amajor *** and Cd had positive contributions to IgM,while As had negative contributions to *** the BKMR models,the latent continuous outcomes of IgA and IgG showed a significant increase when all the metals were at their 60th percentile or above compared to those at their 50th ***,exposure to metals was associated with maternal Igs,and mainly showed that Mn was associated with increased levels of IgA,IgG and IgM,and As was associated with low IgE levels.
