Dynamic interaction nursing intervention on functional rehabilitation and self-care ability of patients after aneurysm surgery

BACKGROUND Nursing practices based on the dynamic interaction model have been shown to be superior to generic nursing ***,whether this model is effective in patients recovering from intracranial aneurysm surgery is not well *** To investigate the effect of nursing based on a dynamic interaction model on functional rehabilitation of patients after aneurysm *** A total of 86 cases in our hospital with intracranial aneurysm from April 2019 to April 2021,were selected and divided into the study group and the control group,with 43 patients in each *** control group received routine nursing,and the research group received nursing intervention based on a dynamic interaction *** daily living ability(activities of daily living,ADL),cognitive function(Simple Intelligent Mental State Scale,MMSE),quality of life(Generic Quality of life Inventory-74,GQOL-74),self-care ability(Exercise of Self-Care Agency scale),incidence of complications,and nursing satisfaction were recorded before and after *** Before intervention,ADL(52.09±6.44),MMSE(18.03±4.11),and GQOL-74(53.68±4.34)scores in the study group were not significantly different from those in the control group(ADL:50.97±7.32,MMSE:17.59±3.82,GQOL-74:55.06±3.98)(P>0.05).After intervention,ADL(86.12±5.07),MMSE(26.64±2.66),and GQOL-74(83.13±5.67)scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group(ADL:79.81±6.35,MMSE:24.51±3.00,and GQOL-74:77.96±6.27)(Plity(15.06±3.29)scores in the study group was similar to those in the control group(self-concept:16.89±5.53,self-care skills:24.59±4.46,self-care knowledge:21.80±3.61,and self-care responsibility:14.83±3.11)(P>0.05).After the intervention,self-concept(26.01±3.18),self-care skills(37.68±6.05),self-care knowledge(45.56±5.83),and self-care responsibility(22.01±3.77)scores in

ESE1 expression correlates with neuronal apoptosis in the hippocampus after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury

Epithelial-specific ETS-1(ESE1), a member of the ETS transcription factor family, is widely expressed in multiple tissues and performs various functions in inflammation. During neuroinflammation, ESE1 promotes neuronal apoptosis; however, the expression and biological functions of ESE1 remain unclear after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. We performed in vivo and in vitro experiments to explore the role of ESE1 in cerebral ischemic injury. A modified four vessel occlusion method was used in adult Sprague-Dawley rats. At 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours after model induction, the hippocampus was collected for analysis. Western blot assays and immunohistochemistry showed that the expression of ESE1, phosphorylated p65 and active caspase-3 was significantly up-regulated after ischemia. Double immunofluorescence staining indicated that ESE1 and NeuN were mostly co-located in the hippocampus after ischemia. Furthermore, ESE1 was also co-expressed with active caspase-3. PC12 cells were stimulated with cobalt chloride(CoCl_2) to establish a chemical hypoxia model. After ESE1 knockdown by siRNA for 6 hours, cell viability was detected by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide assays. The levels of ESE1, phosphorylated p65 and active caspase-3 were also remarkably increased in PC12 cells after CoCl_2 stimulation. After ESE1 knockdown, PC12 cell viability was increased after hypoxia. siRNA knockdown of ESE1 decreased the level of p-p65 and active caspase-3 after CoCl_2 stimulation. These data reveal that ESE1 levels are elevated in the hippocampus after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. This may play a role in neuronal apoptosis via activation of the nuclear factor-κB pathway.

COMPrompter: reconceptualized segment anything model with multiprompt network for camouflaged object detection

We rethink the segment anything model(SAM) and propose a novel multiprompt network called COMPrompter for camouflaged object detection(COD). SAM has zero-shot generalization ability beyond other models and can provide an ideal framework for COD. Our network aims to enhance the single prompt strategy in SAM to a multiprompt strategy. To achieve this, we propose an edge gradient extraction module, which generates a mask containing gradient information regarding the boundaries of camouflaged objects. This gradient mask is then used as a novel boundary prompt, enhancing the segmentation process. Thereafter, we design a box-boundary mutual guidance module, which fosters more precise and comprehensive feature extraction via mutual guidance between a boundary prompt and a box prompt. This collaboration enhances the model's ability to accurately detect camouflaged objects. Moreover, we employ the discrete wavelet transform to extract high-frequency features from image embeddings. The high-frequency features serve as a supplementary component to the multiprompt ***, our COMPrompter guides the network to achieve enhanced segmentation results, thereby advancing the development of SAM in terms of COD. Experimental results across COD benchmarks demonstrate that COMPrompter achieves a cutting-edge performance, surpassing the current leading model by an average positive metric of 2.2% in COD10K. In the specific application of COD, the experimental results in polyp segmentation show that our model is superior to top-tier methods as well. AIM： To investigate the functional networks underlying the brain-activity changes of patients with high myopia using the voxel-wise degree centrality（DC） ***： In total, 38 patients with high myopia（HM）（17 males and 21 females）, whose binocular refractive diopter were-6.00 to-7.00 D, and 38 healthy controls（17 males and 21 females）, closely matched in age, sex, and education levels, participated in the study. Spontaneous brain activities were evaluated using the voxel-wise DC method. The receiver operating characteristic curve was measured to distinguish patients with HM from healthy controls. Correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between the observed mean DC values of the different brain areas and the behavioral ***： Compared with healthy controls, HM patients had significantly decreased DC values in the right inferior frontal gyrus/insula, right middle frontal gyrus, and right supramarginal/inferior parietal lobule（P〈0.05）. In contrast, HM patients had significantly increased DC values in the right cerebellum posterior lobe, left precentral gyrus/postcentral gyrus, and right middle cingulate gyrus（P〈0.05）. However, no relationship was found between the observed mean DC values of the different brain areas and the behavioral performance（P〉0.05）.CONCLUSION： HM is associated with abnormalities in many brain regions, which may indicate the neural mechanisms of HM. The altered DC values may be used as a useful biomarker for the brain activity changes in HM patients.

Carbon nanostructures produced through ion irradiation

Several nanostructures we produced by ion irradiation have been reviewed in this paper. By using ions to irradiate two ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene targets respectively, it was found that small fullerenes C20 and C26 were grown, adding two members to the fullerene family. Meanwhile, crystalline diamonds also have been produced by Ar+ ions irradiation of graphite. In the experiment of double ions Ni+ and Ar+ irradiation, nanoscale argon bubbles formed. On the other side, when multi-wall carbon nanotubes were irradiated by C+, many MWCNTs evolved to amorphous carbon nanowires and amorphous carbon nanotubes. And there are possible welding in the crossed nanotubes.

Interaction between Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor Type-2 and Pre-mRNA Processing Factor 8

The plasminogen activator inhibitor type-2 (PAI-2) dependent apoptosis protection is due to the 33 amino acids fragment located between helix C and D of PAI-2, this fragment may interact with some unknown intracellular proteins. In this study we used the fragment between helix C and D of PAI-2 as a bait to perform a yeast two-hybrid screen using a cDNA library constructed with HeLa cells during apoptosis, and retrieved a clone encoding 94 amino acid residues of C-terminus of pre-mRNA processing factor 8 (PRPF8). Co-immunoprecipitation experiments confirmed that PAI-2 could interact with PRPF8 in vivo. PAI-2 could bind PRPF8 C-terminal in both the inside and outside of nuclear. These results suggested that the interaction between these two proteins might not be involved in the apoptosis process.

Restricted Fault Diameter of Hypercube Networks

Abstract This paper studies restricted fault diameter of the n-dimensional hypercube networks Qn (n S 2). It is shown that for arbitrary two vertices x and y with the distance d in Qn and any set F with at most 2nm3 vertices in Qn m {x,y}, if F contains neither of neighbor-sets of x and y in Qn, then the distance between x and y in Qn m F is vigen byFurthermore, the upper bounds are tight. As an immediately consequence, Qn can tolerate up to 2nm3 vertices failures and remain diameter 4 if n=3 and n+2 if nS4 provided that for each vertex x in Qn, all the neighbors of x do not fail at the same time. This improves Esfahanian's result.

The directed and elliptic flow in collisions of ^(112)Sn+^(112)Sn at energies from 35 to 90 MeV/nucleon are studied in an isospin-dependent quantum molecule dynamics *** increasing incident energy,the directed flow rises from negative to *** magnitude depends on the nuclear equation of state(EOS).However,the elliptic flow decreases with increasing incident energy and its magnitude is not very sensible to *** studies of the impact parameter dependence and the cluster mass dependence are also *** study of directed flow at intermediate energies thus provides a means of extracting the information on the nuclear equation of state.

Interaction of Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-2 and Proteasome Subunit, Beta Type 1

The apoptosis protection by plasminogen activator inhibitor-2(PAI-2) is dependent on a 33 amino acid fragment between helix C and D of PAI-2 which is probably due to the interaction of PAI-2 with unknown intracellular proteins. In this study, we used the fragment between helix C and D of PAI-2 as bait to screen a HeLa cell cDNA library constructed during apoptosis in a yeast two-hybrid system and retrieved a clone encoding 241 amino acids of proteasome (prosome, macropain) subunit, beta type l(PSMβ1) which plays important roles in NF-jjjjjjjjB activation. GST-pulldown experiments confirmed the interaction between PAI-2 and PSMβ1 in vitro. These data suggest that the antiapoptosis activity of PAI-2 is probably related to its interation with PSMβ1.
